I had two hamburger meat enchiladas and 4 double Don Julio ranch Waters in the shore glass I eat out all over this country. I have never paid so much for so little food and drink in my life $133 before tip and I tipped 20 bucks that is the most expensive Mexican restaurant in the USA. I stopped in Parachute after a 600 mile Harley ride. Took a shower & walked over to El Tapatio. The place was packed, but I was seated immediately. The beautiful menu is a harbinger of things to come, they have a simply amazing assortment of things to order. I chose the Mole Enchilades. Honestly, I travel A LOT & this was, hands down, the best mole sauce I have ever had the pleasure to eat. It was perfect in every way, the meat was tender & flavorful, it was just a wonderful meal. Im truly sorry I cant eat here more often. Also, a big shout out to the wait staff. Driving by we saw the parking lot full so we decided it was worth a visit. Lots of seating and a large menu. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food. The asada tacos are delicious, the right amount of meat, onions and cilantro to savor every bite. Chips and salsa are the bomb too. The bowl with cabbage in it was nothing I've before, but was really good with a chip. The green sauce was a great addition to the tacos as well. Little spicy, but not overpowering by any means. Walk in and seated right away, Benito took are drink order and left us look over the menu and they have a variety of Mexican food. We had chips, Salsa and a cabbage mix to go eat. We finally made a decision my husband got the Chicken Mole Enchiladas with beans and rice. Since it was Taco Tuesday I went with the street tacos 2 Asada, 2 Carnitas and 1 Abodabba Taco. Boy this place does not disappoint everything was fresh and delicious, man that mole sauce I would come back every day to have it! They had Mexican music playing and a full bar too. Another place that doesn't look like much on the outside but don't let that stop you. We skipped starters and enjoyed the crispy chips and tasty salsa that had a nice touch of heat on the back side. Surprises you as from the outside it looks like an average mexican restaurant, but it was truly delicious and priced fairly. Our service was above average as well. We had three different dishes, from the combo 2 plate which had a pork tamale smothered in pork green chili and a cheese enchilada, to a Carne Asada Taco with a grilled chicken taco (taco's al carbon), and finally enchiladas verde plate. All were so tasty, but the salsa's steal the show. We especially enjoyed the habanero salsa (hot and spicy) in addition to the standard salsa they bring to the table initially. Stopped in for dinner after a very long day in Glenwood (we were staying at the Grand Vista right next door) and we were greeted by a fun and lively atmosphere right away. After being seated and getting our drinks, we ordered the kids hamburger (my son hates Mexican food), the Super Special burrito, and a beef and bean burrito. First let's start with the standard at every Mexican restaurant, the chips and salsa. I am a fan of good chips and salsa, and this place did not disappoint. The salsa had a kick to it and the chips were nice and crunchy. The cabbage salsa that came with the chips was also really well done and perfectly seasoned. The burger and fries were both surprisingly tasty. The patty was juicy and the fries were the perfect crispness. The super burrito had adobada in it and the flavor was fantastic. I ate the entire thing (it's a good sized burrito). The guacamole on the burrito was also very well done. My wife's beef and bean burrito was large and she said the flavor was excellent. Overall, this was a fantastic little stop in a very small town. We will definitely be back. read more

So I checked out the Yelp reviews before heading to this place even though it was the only thing open at the time. I'm naturally suspect of good reviews but this time people were right. This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had and that is saying a lot since I live in San Diego with easy access to Mexico. Our guacamole appetizer was so fresh and delicious with large chunks of creamy avocado. My husband and I shared the Fajitas trio. The steak, chicken and shrimp were so full of flavor. small town, 7 30 pm, your choice is Subway, Chinese restaurant with 2 cars at the front or this place. the name suggested small chain Mexican restaurant in Denver but to my surprise, this one is part of western Colorado version. walked in during the dinner rush. slow service but was able to sit down and order drinks and food in decent time. not the fastest but waiters stopped by to keep us updated. drinks and food price is definitely 20 -30% higher than Denver. do they taste better? nope!! the chips were stale but salsa was good. cabbage slow was ok too. got the trio fajita which was pretty good at hefty price of $20.25 and also side of very salty cheese enchilada for $3.50. Margarita Rosario at $12.99 was ok. over all, friendly servers, ok to mediocre food but high prices brought down over all value. if there are more choices of restaurants, I will change my direction.
