Road trip stop! We wanted to find an authentic Mexican restaurant, and this was a nice little, family owned restaurant... ran by a husband and wife team, and their teenage kids after school. There was a slight language barrier, but we were able to order just fine. The restaurant can be easily missed while driving. It's located on a main industrial road, about a mile off I75 on a small 3 store stripe mall. I loved that everything is homemade including the flour and corn tortillas :p I ordered the carne asada $9.99 (with refried beans, rice, grilled onions, and guac (they forgot)). My BF ordered the enchiladas with chicken and one with cheese, it came with the same sides. The steak was a cheaper cut of beef, but seasoned really well. The homemade corn tortillas made the enchiladas... My fav was the chicken. The guacamole was made fresh to order; I order the spicy version, and it was no joke... I loved it!! Fast and friendly service!! I would definitely stop here again if I'm ever in the area.

Delicious Chimichanga

Fresh authentic Mexican food. Don't let the outside fool you! Driving down 75 found this little spot with good reviews and decided to pull over. So glad we did!! It is cooked fresh upon ordering. The tacos were fresh and delicious! The California burrito was huge and absolutely delicious! We ordered more after we were done. The kids loved it! We will definitely be back on our next road trip.

Large size queso and guac

Tacos were good. Guacamole and queso were not great. Guac didn't look fresh and queso was watery. We ordered the large size and the size is a small bowl. Service was okay. Had to ask for refills instead of server being on top of it.

Good stuff in little old Ashburn!

Good food, good service with a great atmosphere. Prices are average for Mexican restaurants. I highly recommend eating here.

Food tasted great and came out quick. Nothing too special about the environment of the restaurant though.

We go here a lot as we live very close to it. The staff treat us like family. The food is pretty…read moregood most of the time. The table service is often pretty meh. My favorite dishes are the Pollo Frito (Fried Chicken), and a grilled shrimp dish I can't remember the name of. It's pretty noisy when it's packed out, which is kinda often, but otherwise the noise level is ok.

This place is not the easiest place to find. You will miss it if you don't see the big "MEXICAN…read moreRESTAURANT" on the back of a building riding down Washington. It's right next door to Rescue's and behind Keith-A-Que and pretty much in the same parking lot as Piggly Wiggly (I recommend accessing it from the Piggly Wiggly parking lot). I've ridden by it several times and did not notice it for a long time. I was expecting some dingy hole-in-the-wall, but it was actually a very nice little restaurant. The tables were nice and nothing looked really beat up. It is a small family business and they clearly take pride in what they are doing. They are not open from about 2 PM to 5 PM daily. The chips and salsa was pretty standard fare and better than many Mexican restaurants. I didn't taste any cilantro or anything like that in the salsa. I know some people find it repugnant. The cheese dip was pretty good. I heard that they used to put jalapenos in it. I could only imagine large nacho jalapenos in it and I actually thought that sounded pretty good. I ordered the Chimichanga Dinner (ground beef). It didn't take very long to get my meal and I uploaded a picture of it. It was plated pretty well I think. The chimichanga itself was very good. They certainly spice their beef and it had some heat to it, but it had flavor as well. The shell was crunchy and delicious and the Mexican rice underneath paired well with the meat. Some people may want to have some extra sour cream with their meal to counter the extra heat. The guacamole was pretty standard and reminded me of other restaurants. The guacamole was not the best I've ever had, but it was still good. The beans didn't really feel like they were good for the meal, but I'm not a huge refried bean fan and never find them impressive. I would have much rather had more rice and more guacamole salad. The service was excellent, quick and friendly.
