I eat at this place a few times a year, every time I come back it is a joy to see them. I used to live in the neighborhood, used to come often. To see them around serving yummy Al pastor tacos as back then it was delightful then and now. Despite pandemics and gentrification this place is always here, with great service and yummy tacos! i find this truck by the chevron on berryessa. it's my go-to. their tacos are fairly priced, and they never skimp on proteins or pico de gallo! i love their extra salsas as well. each plate comes with radish and limes. i usually get the loaded shrimp taco or any street taco. they cook it well and consistently. a constant favorite that can be open until late nights. read more

My family and I recently moved to downtown san jose and decided to walk around our new neighborhood-- along the way my husband got hungry and seen this taco truck. Found this place on a walk home. Became a regular quick, although I've only gotten one thing - the regular burrito. This thing is just the right size and is only $5.50. Meat has never been too fatty and they have three salsas to chose from. They do have limited seating. Line has only been two people deep max and there has never been an issue with parking. I have been here numerous times in the last month, more than I should admit to, but I crave their al pastor tacos, and yes I am crazy enough to drive from Union City to San Jose just for that. I have yet to try other items, but they do have an extensive menu for being a truck. I like that they have a setup of salsas, radishes, onions, lemons and chiles to take home. They give you a plastic baggie so you can fill it. Should you feel inclined to eat your tacos as they hand them to you, they do have a couple of tables. Service is friendly. We found ourselves here after being referred here by some staff at Camino brewing since their kitchen had closed. They only accept cash and it was busy on a Friday night. Wait times were a little lengthy at 945pm on a Friday. It took about 40 minutes for our order. We ordered 2 al pastor tacos, 1 chicken taco, and a chicken quesadilla. I live around the corner of this spot. I go there when ever I don't want to cook and the food is alright! The lady there is kind of weird she thinks that is ok for her to charge an extra dollar for an extra radishes and cucumber! One of my friends die and his viewing was at Limas funeral home so I went there and got me a lot of tacos like 20 tacos to be more exact ! And she refuses to give me extra salsa and extra veggies . Came to eat with my daughters & mom & I ordered food& drinks but I didn't grab my daughters drink from the front until we were almost done eating. My mom took my daughter to the front of the truck to grab the drink & open it while I was still eating at the table. Some guy in front by the window helped them open it. As I was throwing my food away to leave a male employee asked me if I paid for the drink I told him yes that I ordered it when I got there & I kept walking because I ordered it & thought I paid for it. (Who knows maybe I did we'll never know because they don't give receipts.) By this time I realized they thought we stole it lol there was not only him but the lady who took our order being weirdos staring at us down with super angry faces looking like they wanted to beat us up over a jarrito lmao!! I had no idea what was up their ass until the little guy asked me if we paid for the drink. My mom confronted the lady & told her we ordered it & I told her too & she said very rudely in Spanish "well I didn't charge you for it." They made such a scene in front of everyone instead of just saying excuse me we didn't charged you for that or let me see your receipt (OH WAIT THEY NEVER GIVE RECIEPTS) We paid the $300, I mean $3 for the drink again & left who does that?!? lol anyways if you come here make sure they take your order properly & GIVE YOU A RECEIPT bc they will try to harass you over their mistake. Little man was over there squishing trash in the trash can with his bare hands & my mom & I thought he was disgusting watching him put his hands in the trash can then going to handle the food but we later realized he was actually doing this to intimidate us by doing this!! I came here on Wednesday for the special $1 al pastor tacos. It's a great deal, and the tacos taste quite nice with the slice of pineapple. The red salsa is quite spicy. I recommend the orange salsa, but you only get red or green with takeout. There's complimentary cucumbers and radishes. I've been twice, and I think it'll become my new Wed lunch spot.
