Really good quesabirra! The beef inside was tender, flavors were great. Consume was nice. Got our order pretty quick after ordering. I'd come back for sure.

Yom. Giant burrito filled with meat, beans, and rice. The meat was salty, tender, and rich. So much meat The birria ramen is what you'd expect I think. I thought the ramen itself was a little overcooked Both were def better with some lemon on top 4.5/5 imho

The birria pizza was really good, no notes 10/10 amazingggg. Service was pretty quick for what they offer. The ambiance of the place is that there are plenty of seats and tables next to the taco truck so that is always great !

Was looking for birria tacos and stumbled upon this spot. The pricing for a whole birria pizza was so worth! I also thought it would take longer since the portion size was an entire 12 slice pizza box that we got. We took it togo but the tacos were still juicy, tender, and hot! They were packed with flavor which went well with the consume. One whole pizza comes with one but we ordered two which I don't think is necessary when I come back again. It's pretty much self service since it's a food truck but they have a nice outdoor seating area for any size party.

Been coming here for years, and they stay consistently good each time! They give a good amount of meat in each of their items. The mulitas de birria is good and the nachos de birria. They add a good amount of guac on the nachos! I love the consome, as they always have chunks of meat in there and it is so flavorful! Pro tip: Get the orange spicy sauce and the avocado sauce!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I wouldn't think twice. This has been our go-to spot ever since we discovered it a few years ago, and we're here at least twice a month sometimes even more. The food is amazing. Hands down, the best quesabirrias in San Jose, and nothing else even comes close. The consomé is savory, packed with meat, and full of flavor. The aguas are incredible too we've tried all of them, and not a single one has disappointed. The salsas are really good and they're not stingy with it at all. I've also had the birria burrito, and it is so good. Everything is always fresh and warm, whether you're eating there or taking it to go. The service is just as great as the food. The staff is super friendly, always welcoming, and serves you with a smile and a great attitude. I recommend this place to all my family and friends and will happily continue supporting them for years to come.

Lunch time with my coworkers was a new experience for me at Neza Birria. I've tried many places like this, but it's rare to find one with truly amazing Mexican seasoning in their food. I tried the consomé and the quesabirria, and both were delicious. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will be back to try the pozole and more

This taco truck serves up beef birria, carnitas, El Pastor and chicken. They are located in back of a closed off parking lot, they have tents set up outside And tables. The food menu is easy to order off of. I ordered a birria burrito and wifey ordered a birria quesadilla. My burrito shell was toasted on the outside and the meat temperature was hot, like it just came out of the oven hot. The amount of meat they put in the burrito is honestly astonishing "it was all I could do to finish it" usually most places like to fill the inside of the burrito with rice and beans, not this place!!! They pack it full of beef. The burrito I must say was quite tasty, I do wish it came with sour cream though. They also have red and green hot sauce in squeeze bottles for added flavor. Wifey's birria quesadilla was also huge, they gave her 4 big slices, honestly pound for pound it was probably bigger than my burrito, if you can believe that. They also put a lot of cheese in it as well. Bottom line if you're super hungry and want good Mexican food for a very reasonable price then look no further, this is your place.

Just before playing some volleyball with my volleyball friends, we wanted to grab a meal together for some bonding time. Following my friend's recommendation we ended up at Neza Birrieria. To my surprise they actually had parking right in front of the truck, but I didn't know, so I ended up parking on the street which was also pretty easy. Anyways, we ordered our food, including two birria tacos and quesadillas with the consomme. Everything was awesome. Nice bold flavors and rich broth were perfect. However, birria always has its drawbacks. It is always a bit too rich and salty to eat often, so maybe in a year, I will be back for some more food when I crave birria again. However, in a year, this is definitely the place I'd go back to.

there hasn't been one time where I've been here and didn't leave satisfied with my food. this is the best spot for birria in San Jose and you can't convince me otherwise! their quesabirria are always packed with meat, and their consome is always so hot and flavorful, to top it off with their salsa roja.. life changing im telling you!! their truck is behind another taco truck, the area is always cleaned and they have salsas at each table which is nice! the only negative would be the parking, it can be a little tricky, but i live down the street so i walk it :p if i could give them all a kiss on the forehead i would, its just that good.

A great find if you're a fan of Birria. They are a truck located in a very small parking lot. They have room for maybe 6 cars. There have hand washing stations and a portable bathroom. Cash only or they take Zelle. Good amount of outside seating. I was disappointed that consome doesn't come with the quesabirria and you have to pay extra $3 for it. The orange sauce is spicy but lacks some salt. I thought the birria meat also lacked some flavor although the meat was very tender. I liked that the quesabirria wasn't super oily or greasy like other places. Their house made tortillas are really good and also the tripas were super crispy and tasty. Overall a solid place, the location is just super cramped and not the best area. What we ordered: Tripas tacos Quesabirria tacos Loaded fries Horchata

This birria pizza was insane. For $29, the pizza came out humongous, with each slice bursting at the seams with gooey cheese and juicy shredded meat. The consumé broth was really flavorful but my favorite part was the massive fried tortilla that was crispy and so flavorful. This is really an addictive meal. Neza Birrieria is located in the back of a small parking lot. There's a tent area to eat but keep in mind it's very hot and humid there--we ended up bringing ours to the nearby Emma Prusch park to enjoy! There's limited street parking going into the lot. It's also cash only but they take zelle with a $1 surcharge! I'm wouldn't order this pizza again due to its sheer size, but I'll be back to try their other birria menu items!

Came here to try the crazy birria pizza. It ended up being a bit expensive around $40. But to be fair it is a whole lot of food. The meat and cheese were really tasty but the whole meal became super heavy and hard to eat. Best to split with a lot of friends and maybe order some other items to go with. I found it difficult to only eat the birria pizza with one other perso

I had a very concerning experience with my order and would like to request a full refund if possible. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately, the entire experience raised serious concerns about food quality, cleanliness, and possible cross-contamination. I ordered a quesadilla, and from the first bite, something seemed seriously wrong. The tortilla and filling had an overwhelming burnt, extremely charcoal-like aftertaste that made the food taste as though it had been prepared on an extremely dirty or poorly maintained cooking surface. This was not simply a matter of the food being slightly overcooked or having a burnt grill taste the taste was unsanitary and unpleasant. The meat was also excessively fatty and of such poor grade quality that I could barely tolerate the texture or taste. I am generally not someone who complains about meat quality, but the combination of the questionable meat and the strong, dirty taste of the cooking surface made the quesadilla completely inedible. Now here's the more upsetting part: I also ordered two carne asada tacos, but instead received three tacos, including one containing what appeared to be pork intestines or another type of miscellaneous meat that I absolutely did not order. I do not eat pork, and the texture of this meat was slimy and the smell of it was extremely unpleasant. More concerningly, the meat appeared to have come into contact with the carne asada tacos as well. I unfortunately did not inspect the order before taking a bite, so I accidentally bit into the taco containing the unidentified meat. I was immediately nauseated and genuinely felt like I was going to vomit. I attempted to eat the carne asada tacos afterward, but I could taste what appeared to be the same miscellaneous meat mixed into them. I noticed that the tortillas themselves had the same strong burnt, charcoal-like flavor as the quesadilla, which further contributed to my concerns about the cleanliness and condition of the cooking surface. Because the unidentified meat appeared to have contaminated or mixed with the food I actually ordered, I ultimately could not eat any of the tacos. The horchata was another major concern. It had an unusually unpleasant taste that I have never experienced from horchata before. It tasted stale and potentially contaminated, almost as though something unsanitary had come into contact with it. I cannot say exactly what caused the taste, but it was sufficiently abnormal that I did not feel comfortable drinking it. Ultimately, I ate only approximately one bite of the quesadilla and a single bite of each type of taco before throwing the food away. Shortly afterward, my stomach was already growling and I felt extremely uncomfortable. This was not simply a matter of the food not matching my personal taste. I am concerned about the apparent lack of cleanliness, the burnt/dirty taste throughout the food, the unidentified meat being included in an order where it was not requested, and the apparent cross-contact between that meat and the carne asada I ordered. I would strongly encourage the restaurant to review its food-preparation, cooking-surface sanitation, ingredient handling, and order-assembly procedures. I am pretty upset that I ate something I didn't order and have no idea what it is. Given that I was unable to safely or reasonably consume essentially any of my order, I would appreciate a full refund.

I finally decided to give it a try after hearing about the restaurant from food reviewer Dave fiore text. As someone who absolutely loves tacos and is always on the hunt for great local taco spots, I was excited to see how this place compared to some of my favorites. I ordered four different tacos, and overall, they were pretty good. They weren't bad by any means, but they also didn't quite blow me away. The meat was cooked well, the tortillas were fresh, and the tacos had good flavor. The salsa was decent too, although I personally prefer something with a little more kick. Everyone has different tastes, so this is just my opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and organized the restaurant was. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. Not every restaurant has to be your favorite to be worth visiting. I also like supporting family-owned businesses because I know how much hard work goes into running a local restaurant. They deserve credit for creating a clean, welcoming place and serving quality food. Will I come back? Maybe. If I do, I'd probably try something different on the menu instead of the tacos. Sometimes a restaurant's best dish isn't the first thing you order, and I'd be interested in seeing what else they have to offer. Overall, I'd give El Halal Mexican Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good experience, I'm happy I finally got to try it, and if you're in the Willow Glen area, it's worth stopping by and deciding for yourself.
