Good service friendly for was good I ordered the taco enchiladas plate chicken taco was tasty

I rarely dine out while I'm here visiting Orangeburg, because it's fast food Heaven, but felt like some authentic Mexican and chose this place. It was Sunday afternoon and there were a few people eating here. I ordered the Taco Loco. The tortilla shell was so saturated in grease it had zero crunch. The bowl was filled with reheated frozen spinach a little iceberg lettuce a few pieces of tomato and some refried pinto beans. It was bland, wet and basically disgusting. The salsa they served with the tortilla chips was watered down for some reason. Probably to make it go further. I spent $31 including the tip. What a waste. Save your money and go to Taco Bell! read more

I found a spider in my chicken nachos and it ruined my experience with this restaurant never again will I eat there again.

Food is decent. Servers are rude if you are African American. They knly want your money they dont care about service.

It just wasn't good. I ordered the chimichanga with chicken. They were soggy and flavorless. The queso I ordered was just runny. Like...milk that's been heated up. The salsa was bland. Almost like tomato paste with some cooked tomatoes...hold the salt, pepper, chilies. The guacamole dip was old. You could tell. Was in Orangeburg, SC visiting a friend and there was not many options in the area for dinner, and this restaurant was one recommended by a local. The food was typical Mexican Restaurant food, fresh chips and salsa, and decent prices for happy hour Margaritas and Beers. Never had a Chimichanga with red sauce on top, usually only have a queso or some kind of white sauce but it was delicious a cross between a enchilada and chimichanga. read more

Nasty nasty nasty! The food, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the service! Idk how you mess up rice and beans but El Toro gave me some of the worst I've ever had. Nothing looked clean in there; the silverware, plates, cups etc... The servers sucked big time. Not hospitable and don't check back on you. We waited over 40 mins to get our bill and that peanut head fool wasn't doing much of anything, literally just a lazy idiot. When I told my sister I'd never return she told me no one goes here for food, just cheap drinks. I'm torn on how to rate this restaurant. The food was really awesome (and we eat a lot of Mexican so our standards are pretty high!) We loved the beef nachos and the guacamole!! Everything- including the salsa- was super fresh. They even have cheeseburgers on the kids menu which made our non-Mexican loving son VERY happy. Despite what you might assume, his burger was great!! The salsa is no bueno. It literally taste like they opened a can of rotel! So the food was mediocre to say the least and the margarita was straight up sweet and sour mix. It's unfortunate that the Mexicans who own/run this place have gringonized their food. It's obvious that they are catering to the locals, because this is far from true Mexicano food! read more

First time here. Had the Enchilada De Mole and my wife had the Pollo Loco. Both were fantastic, service was quick and friendly. We definitely recommend trying this place out and we'll be coming back for more! read more

The happy hour is reasonable, and even regular prices are good. The food is good but it has been hit or miss. The carnitas were tough and inedible, but the chicken breast were awesome as were the chicken and beef brisket burritos. The chicken soup is awesome! Crown royal black was in the $6-7 range. read more

We found this restaurant while searching for a place to meet a USC student half way from Charleston. The food was fine, nothing better, nothing worse. It was your typical Americanized Mexican food. All of the food is mild which is a bit boring for me. Quick efficient service. Was traveling through this area and decided to try this Mexican restaurant. They were very busy and and we couldn't find a place to park close (fortunately there is a strip mall behind the restaurant where we found a place to park) we decided to try to get in. Surprisingly we got a table immediately. Apparently they had a convention that was eating there and this is why it was busy - we went at 7PM on a Friday night. The service was fast and friendly. Meals came out quickly. Had the mole chicken enchiladas - very good! Guac delicious. The lime marguitas was that basic artificial green color and weak. I would of tried a different concoction but our waitress had no idea of what the drinks consisted of.... Names were cute such as "the Donald Trump" for $9. Most were $6 and with names of either dirty or foul inuendos. Would suggest they have this list with descriptions. read more

My husband and I stopped here for something off the beaten path on our way north on 26. I had the Fajita Burrito, which was served with a ver fresh salad, plenty of sour cream and an expert guacomole on the side. My husband had the chicken soup, which he found very flavorful and not overly salty, as is unfortunately often the case at other Mexican restaurants. The wait staff were polite and attentive.
