Customer Service: 11/10 Food: 9.5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Wait Time: 10/10 My mom, sister and I were looking for a place to stop in for lunch today and decided to check out this place. We were almost immediately sat at a table and the waitress attending to us was very sweet and friendly. We got our drinks after 5 minutes and after 10 minutes our waitress came back for our food orders. It look less than 20 minutes for our food to come out, and let me say, it was DELICIOUS. The restaurant does have a bar area, but the dining area is separate, so that was nice. Overall: 11/10

We were pleasantly surprised to find a pretty good Mexican restaurant in tiny Orangeburg, South Carolina. The chips were served warm, the salsa was tasty and mild, very onion forward. The fajita's arrived sizzling and well-seasoned. About half meat and half onions and peppers. And the taco salad was served in a nice crispy flour tortilla bowl. The frozen strawberry Margarita was good, but the lime Margarita was made with a mix, not fresh lime juice. All in all a pleasant experience.

Salmon salad

The Burrito Molté and salmon salad are my favorites. They also have the best salads. Beat Mexican in Orangeburg county and surrounding areas! Food is fresh, served hot and fast! Friendly staff to top it all off

Chicken soup

We were just here and enjoyed an amazing lunch! The service was friendly and helpful. This is some of the better Mexican food I've had in a long time! The chicken soup really is amazing and the portion is Huge. The photo is AFTER I had already had enough to fill me up! My husband had a chicken rice and cheese special dish (I don't remember specifically what it's called but was a customer requested dish that on the menu now and he raved and raved about it! SO GOOD! Also we asked about a spicy salsa and we were promptly given one that had a lovely flavor! I wish we lived closer because we would be regulars, but we will stop in when we pass this area!

Watery and messy.... And who the hell puts LETTUCE in guacamole

First off, this is my 2nd time ordering from them. The first time I ordered guacamole and chips with Veggie Fajitas. TERRIBLE... all they gave me was the shells, NO VEGGIES. THIS time, all I ordered was guacamole and chips. I was watching the server get my order together and noticed he didn't have any gloves on while picking up my chips, and this was after I saw him touching his face. The first time I ordered it, the lady wore gloves because I said something before she could get to them. I work in 2 restaurants and I don't play about people's food like that AT ALL. Opened up the guacamole, it looks nothing like the 1st time I ordered it and it was barely any avocado just mainly the veggie mix that used to make it and it was watery...I just threw everything in the trash. I'm vegan, so there's not much I do actually eat, but this was so simple to mess up.

Loved the Enchiladas Rancheros with side salad.

Both the enchiladas and quesadilla were delicious. The quesadilla was not quite what I expected but no complaints! Rather than a thin quesadilla with a little cheese and meat, this one was loaded with seasoned chicken and ground beef! Came with a nice bed of lettuce, tomatoes, Cheese and guacamole. The enchiladas had all the chicken on top and were equally delicious. The service was pleasant and attentive and the prices were reasonable.

Fresh salsa and hot chips. Yum!

Small restaurant with great food and fantastic flavors…read more We were traveling and decided that we needed to stop for dinner, so we saw the great reviews for lost buenos and we gave you a try. Only about eight tables inside and they also have grocery items, including fruit and vegetables, candies, and baked goods. At first, we were gonna get get our items to go, but when we realized it would probably be hard to eat in the car so we stayed and had a wonderful meal. Did you really want to hear about the food: Salsa - fresh, mild kick, I would consider it more on that chunky side than the smooth side. Salsa - very thin, some more on the smooth side, but very tasty. Cucumber Pinapple Drink - refreshing, with a hint of the pineapple sweetness. Really delicious, and served in a small picture which threw me at first, but then I realized everybody else had them, and they were drinking through a straw. Problem solved. Tamarind Drink - not quite as refreshing as the cucumber, but the drink was good with that hint of tamarin flavor.. Burritto - serve with your choice of meat, it was enough to feed two people, two very large people. It also comes with fresh, cucumber and radishes, which was a really nice touch. We got ours with chicken and peach with our choice.. We decided to get a couple of the baked goods to go, so maybe I'll update my review after we give those a try in the morning. Great little fine. I think you'll enjoy it.

The waitress took our order as soon as we walked in. She brought out chips and individual cups of salsa for each of us (the salsa was excellent with just the right amount of heat). Three of us ordered the #3 special (taco, enchilada and burrito), 1 ordered Fajitas, 1 order for #2 Lunch special(Taco and enchilada, one order the huge Cubana Torta. Service was very good. Food was great and authentic. The Cubana Torta is another thing in itself! Huge, with hot dogs sticking out the side and the kitchen sink ingredients on the inside. Freddie got half of it down and packed up the other half to take home to his wife. It's a cultural experience trying to eat the whole thing yourself. Since the last time I was here they have added a very nice outdoor covered area to the left of the restaurant...nicely decorated and a perfect place to enjoy Mexican food weather permitting!!! We'll definitely go back.

Starting off with the chips, hand cut, and tasting very fresh with the salsa that was pretty ok. We tried the birria tacos which were fantastic. The consume was on point. We also tried the Real Mexico Enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and beans were actually really good unlike most spots. Sopa was great. We also got to try the chicken finger plate for the kids and couldn't help but notice the chicken and fries were actually solid. All in all Real Mexico lives up to the hype and is a spot that I'd come back to next time I'm in the mood for any Mexican cravings.

Armando's Mexican restaurant | St.George, Sc…read more 5792 County Rd S-18-200, St George, SC 29477 Armando's Mexican Restaurant - St. George, SC Review 3.7 out of 5 stars If you find yourself rolling through St. George, South Carolina and your stomach starts making executive decisions for you, Armando's Mexican Restaurant is probably going to pop up on your radar. And honestly? It's a bit of a mixed bag -- like a taco that's mostly good but missing that one key ingredient. The Good Stuff First off, the staff? Solid. Friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet -- the kind of service where your drink gets refilled before you even realize it's empty. That alone scores points. Food comes out fairly quick too, which is always a win when you're hungry enough to consider eating the chips basket itself. Pricing is also very reasonable. Around $15 per person, which in today's economy feels like you just got away with something. Decor? Let's call it "classic." Not bad, not great -- just kind of there doing its job. The Not-So-Good Now... let's talk about the salsa. This wasn't your typical Mexican restaurant salsa. This was... something else. It had a strong marinara vibe -- like it got lost on the way to an Italian restaurant and just decided to stay. Chips deserved better. The restaurant itself is showing its age a bit. "Dated" is the polite way to put it -- like stepping into a time capsule that hasn't been updated since flip phones were king. Bathrooms? Yeah... we're not writing home about those. And parking? Tight. Limited. A little rough around the edges -- literally. Think potholes and wear that's seen better days. Final Verdict Armando's isn't trying to be fancy -- and that's okay. It delivers on quick service, friendly staff, and affordable meals. But it definitely has some areas that could use attention (starting with that identity-crisis salsa). If you're in the area and want a quick, budget-friendly bite, it'll do the job. Just maybe don't go in expecting a life-changing Mexican food experience. 3.7 out of 5 Good service, fair prices... questionable salsa decisions.

That appeared to be all. My wife asked "where is the chile relleno?" And the bar tender said "That's it . . . see?"
