Because my usual place lost their testing license, they referred me here. I was debating whether or not to stop here because the parking lot was not easy to navigate and it looked shady. There was a lady standing out front waiting for her vehicle and she looked relaxed so I gave it a try. I didn't wait long, the smog check was speedy and was only $38 out the door. Ok I will have to admit that I left my tip before I received any service. I based my tip on the fact that the shop is in an unsavory part of town and when I drove in I thought I had been transported to Valkenvania from the movie Nothing But Trouble. However I will say that the smog check took a total of two minutes to perform which was amazing. I have a smog place that I usually go to, but it wasn't star certified and usually takes about 45 minutes. I've read the other reviews which said that you can get a smog check for $35 which I will look into if I have to go back in the future because it was $50 plus $2 because I used a credit card. The owner and his assistant were very friendly and I was especially shocked that it didn't take long at all so I will definitely go back with a coupon. read more

This place is a great deal! I live in OC but was in the area and gave them a call. I needed the Star Check and it was just $35....In OC I was quoted $70! Take cash, it's an extra $2 to use a debit/credit card. Fast friendly service. It's where the car auction takes their cars to be smogged so you know it's the best price around. I was very disappointed with the customer service here. I had to get a smog check for my DMV vehicle registration renewal and like most people I was trying to find an inexpensive place to go to. I happen to find a coupon for $18.75 for this place but on the coupon in the small print there was a bunch of added fees for different things (add $8 for mid size cars, add $10 STAR smog, add $10 for SUV + 8.25 CA cert) so I decided to call to clarify what was considered a midsize car and to get a better idea of what I would be paying. The person who answered the phone was very unprofessional when he answered that I even had to confirm that I had called the right place, once he told me I had then I asked about the coupon and small print added fees. He refused to answer my question and would just say that he did not know & I would have to bring coupon in, then I tried clarifying what was considered a midsize car and he said, "whatever the coupon says!" in a very rude almost yelling voice. At this point I didn't care to take my service here anymore, I was shocked with how unprofessional and rude this guy way. I told him thank you for being so rude and not wanting to answer my questions because you just lost a potential customer and he said, "that's fine, I don't care". Can I say, "WOW!" Not my idea of running a good successful business but hey, to each their own. Well I won't be coming here ever. read more

Great place to get a smog test. They honor competitors coupons and have their own you can just print out online. I went here today, kind of a hole and in a terrible location as far as business is concerned but I was in and out within 20 min. Their waiting area consists of 4 plastic chairs and a tarp hanging for some shade outside (don't expect air conditioning). Looks to be a smaller 2 man operation and they probably just sub-lease some small office space from the owners. There are a ton of semi-trucks on the property that actually block the entrance, but if you drive on this non-paved piece of property you're probably there. On 9/15/12 I arrived at Mira Loma Test Only, for a smog check for my vehicle, around 10:30AM to be greeted by Mr. Tung Vu. I brought in a coupon from the PennySaver which states $19.75 + $8.25(certificate). The expiration date was 9/19/12. The coupon also states that it is $10 additional for vehicle with GVWR of 4000lbs or more. My vehicle is an Acura TL 2003, and the GVWR data for this vehicle is not available. He would not honor the coupon, for reasons I don't really understand. So I asked him my much, and he verbally tells me $31. Since, it's only $3 above coupon value, I told him it was okay. He handed me an invoice and have me fill out my name and signature, but the total amount has been left empty and has not been filled out by Mr. Vu, which I did not noticed until the end of the transaction. When it came time for the payment, I handed Mr. Vu my credit card, and I noticed he charged me $42 total. On the invoice, he wrote $41.75 for the smog test and $8.25 with $10 off for promotion. The total written was $40. The total amount charged to my credit card was $42, Mr. Vu claims he has to charge additional $2 for using my credit card as a form of payment, which I thought was illegal in California. To me Mr. Vu has clearly used false advertising to bring in customers and purposely misquoted customers. read more
