Didn't mind as I had purchased Groupon deal--I will be honest at times buying a deal on the Groupon site could be like shooting craps but not for this offer--it was worth it, they did a good job and the equipment they use is up to date. They may not have a fancy, air-conditioned lobby--which is located outdoors under a tarp--it was fine for me as "little heat" on the 25th of August wasn't going to bother me or detract me, nor do they have a big property with lots of parking, which wasn't going to get in the way of me getting my car smogged the same day so my car could meet the DMV requirements. Overall, if you want quick, clear, great service without the frills or gimmicks, Mission Smog Test Only is the place to get your car smogged and get your certificate. We were looking for a shop for smogs on goggle that were professional and nest my home. I called several but when I called this place, as soon as they answered, they were professional, friendly and explained their processes for smog. We went 2 days later and just as they were on the phone, they were in person. We waited 10 minutes before using us in. My initial experience wasn't the best--maybe it was the heat, not sure. I greeted the older gentleman, and his response was, "What do you need? This is a smog check only place, what else would you need?" I told him I needed a smog check, and he just said, "Yeah, alright, just wait by your car." Thankfully, a younger gentleman wearing a Dodgers hat stepped in. He was super friendly, even offered me a spot in the shade, and definitely turned my experience around. Honestly, the older gentleman could take some customer service tips from him. One more thing: if you buy the Groupon, be aware there's still an additional $10 fee for the certificate--which Groupon doesn't mention. read more

I came here again because they had smogged a previous car of mine and the experience was fairly smooth, the price was fair and they seemed pretty busy. This time it was the complete opposite. There was only 1 or 2 cars ahead of me yet they had me waiting for 2 hours just to send me away to a different shop with no explanation along with the person ahead of me and the people who showed up after me. They responded to my Smog Check Request on Yelp and I appreciated their flat rate fee. Simple and Easy is how I like doing business. So many other smog places had 3 or 4 different fees I had to add up to realize Mission Smog was about $20-$30 Cheaper than all the rest. I had to wait a little while since they were so busy. It was about 100° so very hot, they had lots of customers but were still Patient and courteous. They got me in and out as quickly as possible and gave me an accurate wait time.
