Quality food, generous portions, looks attractive on the plate. Superb friendly service. But it is Arkansas style, very mildly seasoned Mexican food. If jalapenos and chili powder aggravate your digestive process, El Trios is for you. For me a big beef filled relleno with queso, an equally loaded beef taco, and a side of good refried beans. Check the picture. It looks good, doesn't it? My wife had the taco salad. The salsas are mild, even the salsa picante. Not much help if you are looking for heat. Muy muy excelente. I've been to Mexican restaurants all over the country and this one was hands down the best. I haven't had beans this good since my mom used to make them in my youth. (I dare to say these were better) Hand made flour AND corn tortillas. The green salsa flavor is top tear. I ordered the molcajete, and was EXTREMELY satisfied. From NWA. My cousins raved about this place and soon I was also a regular. I don't know how they could make you feel any more welcome; talk about service with a smile! The menu is large, with lots of variety, and I have yet to find anything that did not taste good. The wait staff usually gets the order right the first time, but if not, they'll be by to fix it very soon and make sure everything is to your liking. The interior is colorful and attractive, with several televisions to view with various sporting events featured. If you don't feel like going inside, they offer curbside pickup as well, which is great when you're under the weather or in a hurry. WOW, traveling through found this little Mexican joint. Again wow. Everything is home-made, using fresh ingredients, even the myriad of sauces/salsas! The enchiladas were awesome, their camarones (shrimp) fresh and large and perfectly cooked! The Diablo sauce a little sweet for my taste but the heat, yeah buddy! I've travelled to rural central Mexico several times (decades ago) and these folks cook great authentic Mexican fare. read more

Stopped and ate here on my way home from my half marathon in Fayetteville. One word describes this little place. PHENOMENAL. I will just say that this is probably the BEST Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life. And, that's a lofty claim because I don't take my Mexican food lightly. Definetly the best restaurant in Alma. Excellent, consistent customer service and the food's pretty good too. My favorite is the molcajete. It has alllll the meats. Chicken, asada, carnitas, chorizo, and shrimp along with fajita veggies and comes with flour tortillas. It's giant too! My husband and I get it to share (we are not tiny eaters either) and there's usually leftovers. Seriously good. read more

We stopped here on our way to go camping, and were not disappointed! The waiter was really nice, and very attentive to us. The food was great, my boyfriend and I both got a burrito, his was steak, mine was chicken, they were probably as big as our heads! I would highly recommend them to anyone. They also had some vegetarian options and worked pretty well with me on modifying my meal since I don't eat beef (mine was supposed to have it). I will also say that getting to it is a little weird. You have to into the Atwoods parking lot to get to the resturant, Google didn't quite get that, but that's Google's fault. All in all, a very good little Mexican place! read more

I am from Los Angeles, CA and there is a pretty high standard to meet when it comes to authentic Mexican food, but these guys did really well. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff and they quickly took our to go order. The restrooms were very clean and so was the table we were temporarily seated at. The food took about 15-20 minutes to get to our table, but it was well worth the wait. The staff was very kind and helpful, everything tasted delicious, and the portions were more than enough for my family and I. We will definitely make sure to stop by if we are in the area again. This place is always hopping, so maybe my tastes are off. I found the food consistently bland and the whole family agreed. Even the salsa was sirta tasteless. Expected more for the price. The staff is friendly but they seem a little judgemental when the kids order non-mexican options. They have televisions in various places. Last time they were playing a Netflix cartoon about bugs in the sewer that involved alot of vomit and pooping humor. Not very appetizing. read more
