Such a great experience! Located in an area of heavy hitters that sell delicious Mexican food- Don…read moreJorge's has set themselves apart with kind service and delicious food! My sisters and I came on a Sunday evening and were welcomed warmly by the girl in the front. The decor is so cute and they were playing the Cowboys Game in the corner. Our waiter was a really kind and older gentleman and would check in with us consistently. Our food was phenomenal and could only be made by people who appreciate the difference of fresh Mexican food and short cuts. They automatically started us with black beans and salsa with chips- delicious! I really appreciated the protein. Horchata 6/10 I've had better but it was good! Al Pastor Taco Plate- 8.5/10 freshly chopped onion and cilantro topped a classic Al pastor taco. Juicy and Rick flavors with a side of classic rice and beans. Shrimp Caldo- 10/10 we ATE IT UPP! Juicy, fresh and warm on a rainy evening. It was perfect. The mixture of spices, fresh chewy shrimp and warm tortillas on the side. Wonderful experience to eat! Ceviche Tostadas- 10/10 and spicyyy! This was the biggest stand out for my sisters and I. We grew up eating ceviche regularly and if the shrimp/fish is not slowly cooked in the lime juicy then it's not worth it. The fish was soft and filled with flavor surrounded by fresh ingredients. The jalapeño was definitely fighting me with the spice but the flavor was absolutely everything. Thank you and y'all will definitely be seeing up again.

Lots of booth seating. Loved the Selena mix playing overhead. You order at the counter and they call out your name when your oder is ready. Came here around lunch time with vegan friends that had been here. So, I had a lay of the land. Decent cost for the trade off. Staff was kind enough to let me try the cactus, lemonade chia juice. Yum! I'll have to come back for the Horchata. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, elote, and taco plates. The flavor and mouth feels were on point. They have salsa verde and rosa options, as well. My only suggestion? Label the tacos so we know what's what. The baked goods and pre-mades proved too tempting to pass up. So, we got tamales and a pineapple and strawberry bun to go. Delish! Decent amount of parking in front of the store. Salud!

I just moved from North Dallas to Mesquite and rely on my son to find restaurants I might like. I…read morehadn't had Mexican in a while - real, authentic Mexican cooking, so he took me to this place. It's so convenient, at the corner of Military parkway and 635 on the right side of the south-bound road. Lots of handicapped parking right in front. So happy to see that, since most places don't try to make it easy to get to the door if you are using a walker. The place is so clean and colorful - even outside, they have planter boxes with beautiful flowers to greet you as you arrive. We were greeted cheerfully when we walked in. We asked if we order at the counter and she replied that we would be waited on, so we sat at a booth. They have a nice menu and I loved seeing my fave - huevos a la Mexicana. It arrived on a large plate with rice, beans and several corn tortillas wrapped in foil. They offer you a choice of corn or flour tortillas. My son chose 3 tacos of barbacoa. He loved that they weren't 'dripping in grease' as he put it - like everywhere else. He offered me a bite and yes, they were so much better than the greasy tacos you get at a lot of places. And the tortillas - homemade for sure! He also ordered a breakfast burrito, which was a good size and packed with ham and eggs. He told me 'They don't skimp on the ham!" They brought me coffee in a gorgeous mug. I had been looking at the wall painting, wondering which Mexican state the mountains and greenery represented. But when I saw S.L.P on the mug, I knew immediately - gorgeous San Luis Potosi. Before we left, I bought a box of cookies and they are SO good. I like to eat one with my coffee in the morning. The wedding cookies, I think they're called, not too sweet, just right. You have to try this place and I am happy to have found it!
