The food and service was okay. After reading reviews I was excited to try this spot out I opted for the steak quesadillas and my friend ordered the steak fajitas. When we were asked for salsa the owner tripped out a bit and went on a rant about the expense of the containers. The food was okay nothing that set it apart from other restaurants like it. The beans though were flavorless and the rice was bland as well. I don't foresee myself coming back.

Was craving a torta! I might be back tomorrow for another one! I had a taco too it was definitely a new favorite place. I'm surprised it's not more busy. Everything is fresh and the people are so nice. They cater also. I am extremely happy I found this spot. Also love the decor to make it more pleasant it is a smaller spot. read more

Visiting the area and this is the best place we ate. Friendly service and amazing food! The antique tools/cookware were a nice touch and gave it a rustic relaxed atmosphere. The homemade hot sauces were flavorful along with just the right amount of heat. read more

Great service and great food to match! Seems like a family business that deserves all the great reviews. We came in about 30 minutes to close and they gladly took us in with open arms! The tacos taste like true street tacos, with a crispy tortilla. Good portion of meat as well. The torta was also flavorful and more than filling. Salsas were great. Will be coming back for sure! read more

The racist picture front and center on the bathroom wall was almost as disgusting as the greasy tacos. I'm so disappointed. I came to this establishment because of the positive Yelp reviews, but I would be remiss to not document the truth. The owner said, "no one has ever complained about that picture until now." I truly hope they remove it. It's disgusting. I would give this place no stars if possible. read more

It says it opens at 11am. My Dad and I pulled up at 11 and walked in with the owner and cook and waitress!!!! When I asked if they were open he said they just got there and would be ready in 10 minutes! WHAT!!! We wanted some fresh food. Last time I checked it takes a little longer than 10 minutes to make rice and beans. Very doubtful we'll be back. read more

This place is sooo good! The tacos are amazing! I specially recommend al pastor and cabeza! They have burgers too that really taste like Mexican burgers! My wife and I had chicken, Barbacoa and pastor tacos. They were delicious. We started with the salsa and chips. The salsa looks different but was fantastic. We weren't hungry any more but couldn't resist the churros. Unbelievably good! Also don't forget their homemade lemonade which tastes like a mojito. Family owned. Fresh af. The quesabirria tacos were DYNAMITE. The slaw on the fish tacos was crispy fresh and had a surprisingly zingy Chipotle sauce that was rich in color and homemade. The green salsa was tart and mild but the red spicy was HOT HOT HOT and tasted sooo good. My husband and I have been next door to this gem for over a year and never realized we were less than 5 mins from one of the best meals we can get here in the area. The chain restaurant have all good terribly downhill and disappoint time and again. Also- super friendly staff and great service. And did i mention clean and nice inside?? Sadly not as good an experience since as my last review. The loaded fries are gross. Undercooked fries smothered in fake velveeta cheese, and the mushy pulled pork on top tasted like it had gone through a dishwasher. Absolutely soggy and zero flavor. The steak burrito tasted off, and the steak was catfood, unseasoned and bland. Extremely disappointed and I won't be back. read more

So yeah, let me start by saying that I've tried A LOT of tacos. A LOT. And I think place definitely takes #1! My boyfriend and I were in the Mesquite area because of work. When we got hungry we decided to Google/Yelp any close taco spots and we found this one. It had a lot of 5-star reviews so we decided to check it out for ourselves and all I can say is THANK GOD WE DID. From the tacos (I tried the trompo and pastor) to the beans and rice, everything was delicious! Oh wait, you cant forget the salsas, we tried them all LOL and they were all freaking amazing. Delicious tacos and hot sauce. We stumbled upon this place. We didn't know it was here. We've been missing out on some good food. We only tried the asada tacos and chicken tacos and all their salsas. The food was not bad! Not the best in town, but def not the worst. Spicy sauce. Decent portions. Still warm by the time we got home. My burrito was mainly lettuce and guac, the rice and beans was on the side- if it was inside it may have felt like a bigger and "meatier" burrito. So all in all I was still full. My husband had chicken tacos, he said they weren't bad either. Daughter had a simple chicken y torta, she tore it up and said the same, it was good. Defenitely an option to our to-go list for decent Mexican food. They had some other menu items that would be worth the try. I've been looking for a real 100% mexican restaurant And Im glad to say that I finally found one. The fish and shrimp tacos are the Ensenada style, you have to try them!!!
