First of all....someone call Jon Taffer because i seriously felt like I was on bar rescue!!!…read more I am sincerely sad I missed this place in its prime! I went for the first time today and there were literally 10 out of the 26 places open. The third floor is completely closed down which is understandable if the idea is to move all the current vendors up to the third floor and create a sports bar on the main floor which is what I was told by one of the last standing vendors...and I hope this is true because otherwise it's a sign that the doors will be closing soon because they simply cannot maintain with 3 floors and only 10 working vendors. We walked in, kind of in shock because the place was completely empty. There were approximately 4-6 customers eating at 2 spots, the main bar was open but all employees were on their phones waiting for business. We nervously circled the main floor then headed up to the second floor to see if anything caught our eye... the Fookem's Fabulous - Pie Vending Machine was empty and shut down...so sad I wanted to try it..so then we headed back down to the first floor where we stopped to ponder..what's the food quality like if they aren't moving products because there are literally no people buying... but bravely continuing on, we stopped at Chicken Bras and got 2 chicken empanadas for $9 they were fried fresh but a little salty in my opinion and then to B&D's Texas Bbq. We tried the platter that comes with 3 meats- Brisket, smoked turkey, and pork ribs, 2sides - Mac and cheese and potato salad and we did an add on of 1 piece of cornbread, and 2 drinks $68 all in.. everything was mid.. not great, not bad..(except the potato salad may have been old, it was a little sus) The main dining area has high top tables but all the fabric seats are old, stained, and the foot bars are busted.. the dining upstairs has low tables but the seats had crumbs and questionable residue. Would I return? Absolutely the heck not. This place had its day and now food halls are just a thing of the past I guess unless Jon Taffer can come up with a kitschy concept to bring it back to life...

Brickell City Centre was an unexpected stop that wasn't originally part of my plans. I was actually…read moreon my way to Bayside when my Uber driver suggested I check out Brickell instead. I'm so glad I took the recommendation. First and foremost, downtown Miami is nothing like it was over 10 years ago. The transformation is incredible. The skyline is filled with stunning high-rise buildings, beautiful hotels, clean streets, and the entire area feels modern, upscale, and safe. It's immaculate and a completely different vibe from South Beach. After visiting, I can honestly say my next trip to Miami will likely be centered around Brickell instead. As for Brickell City Centre itself, it's an impressive, world-class shopping destination. The mall is beautifully designed, spotless, and home to just about every luxury and popular retail brand you can think of. The selection of shops and restaurants is excellent. Most of the dining options are located on the upper level, although you'll find additional restaurants scattered throughout the mall. The open-air design, connected by escalators, makes it easy to navigate, and there's even a movie theater on the top floor. The center is divided into the East and North Blocks, which are well connected. My only complaint was getting an Uber after my visit. Finding the mall was easy, but getting picked up was another story. I waited over 15 minutes because the app repeatedly directed my driver to a different pickup location. I was standing outside the East Block near the Nespresso boutique, yet my driver kept being routed toward the North Block near Bally. If you're planning to use Uber or Lyft, allow yourself some extra time and double-check the designated pickup location before requesting your ride. Other than that minor inconvenience, Brickell City Centre exceeded my expectations and was one of the highlights of my trip to Miami.

There's a wide range of stores catering to different budgets--from typical mall stores to high-end luxury shops. The center offers a good mix of shopping including clothing stores and beauty retailers. I am not sure about the restaurants and cafes, since I have not explored the whole mall. I did see a restaurant, Starbucks, and a boba shop that I visited. I visited several stores during my trip, and overall, the service was friendly and welcoming. Dior stood out in particular, as the staff were attentive, offered samples, and created a more engaging shopping experience. The other stores I visited were also pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it's a cool place to walk around, shop, and hangout for a day.

The minute we entered the park we were greeted by Nikki, not only does she handle the bar truck she's also the park manager. She did an outstanding job of taking care of onsite customers, coordinating with those calling in to put in to go orders AND being an epic bartender. Nikki kindly made us our very own custom cocktail, passion fruit OJ and Gin, that we really loved - and is one of the first fruit cocktails my mom has enjoyed in years! The ambiance is great - it's an open air lot that they've done a great job decorating with string lights and a variety of tables so you can choose for yourself what type of vibe you want - intimate 4 top or larger group sitting with benches. Our dinner was quite simply OUTSTANDING. And yes all caps. We enjoyed several dishes from the Spanish truck - a spring mix salad with fried Brie and blueberry vinaigrette, mixed croquetas, tortilla and paella. I am not joking - each one looked just like then their online photo and tasted even better than they looked. Which is a feat because they looked amazing. But each dish was off the charts and was some of the best Spanish food we have ever enjoyed.....OMG and the paella - I want to gatekeep it. $15 for the BEST seafood you will have in a long while. There was absolutely no skimping in quality or quantity. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this dish daily - on top of trying out their other trucks!!!
