    Conch fritter cross section
    Natasha M.

This place is pretty epic but only if you're lucky enough to find parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you unlock that know you are walking into a fresh (aka smells like the ocean place), up front: a fish market, filled with plenty of by the pound options to purchase raw, frying batter seasoning and then some.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the real deal is where you buy what you want and decide how they will cook it for you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres a limited number of tables outside for eating, but BYOB and bring your friends so they can lay claim to one of them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered three pounds of shrimp fried and let me tell you the breading HITS. Most are fried with the skin on and honestly the seasoning makes you want to eat it that way too. A side salad, side of tostones, french fries, and an order of conch fritters to add. The side salad wasnt totally fresh (could pass...BYOSalad too), the fries were what you expect, tostones were over pressed but i like them in any format and were a perfect side to the camarones fritos. The conch fritters were extra crisp...pretty good flavor but felt a bit overcooked. Go, get things fried, squeeze the lime and pack it away. Bring the extra goodies to beber and come back again for the fix. The best part of fishing without the fishing.

Alex was amazing help and such a welcoming person! Hog snapper!

Clean and smell less market! Fresh seafood . Fresh Florida Fisheries is an absolute gem! The seafood was incredibly fresh, high-quality, and exactly what you hope for when buying local Florida seafood. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer questions and make recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was clean, well-organized, and the selection was impressive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can really tell they take pride in providing fresh products and excellent customer service. Whether you're cooking at home or looking for the freshest catch available, this is definitely the place to go. I'll absolutely be returning and highly recommend Fresh Florida Fisheries to anyone looking for top-quality seafood in South Florida!

It's nice to have a place to get fresh fish close by. Usually, you would have to go by the water to get fish this fresh. Everything is laid and easy to see. Prices are prominently displayed so no worries. The guys helping you are always at the ready We were being helped out by some goofy kid called AJ. He was super friendly and patient with us. The kids got a great personality. I saw him handling others and he always has a nice comment to put people at ease We got a couple sandwiches and some mahi to make at home What's cool about this place is that when you are inside, you might as well be sitting by sea

Once you walk in, the service is amazing! Everyone greets you, attentive to your questions, and they even provide you with suggestions in case you are new. They offer to cook your purchase for an additional fee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything extremely clean and well kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is small, but there is constant movement as most people purchase as leave, a few dine at the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only outdoor seating is offered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

These snappers are 1lb each before being filleted and skin removed and 0.5lbs after. This is good for 4 children or small adults

The fish is very fresh and they will sell whole or remove head, scales and fillet for you. Although you are charged for the weight of the whole fish not the fillet you leave with. They told me some people will take the head for soup. I will look into that! They are very friendly and helpful!

If you like fresh seafood this is the place. You buy fresh catch from the market (yes it smells like a fish market) and then have them prepare it for you. There is a $5/lb cooking fee which I wasn't expecting but it is well worth it. Closest to the experience I had in Bangkok at the seafood market, but the preparations here are less limited (fried, steamed, blackened, pan sautéed with garlic butter). Recommend the stone crabs with mustard sauce, heading garlic shrimp with garlic butter and fried whole fish (they ran out of Hogfish so I had red snapper which is excellent when dipped in the garlic butter). Friendly staff but beware parking is limited. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Amazing stone crab claws

Came back and loved it! Got the jumbo crab claws again and they were delicious - next time will go for the colossal. We also got the fish tacos and fish croquettes. The fish tacos were ok but had too much rice and needed salsa or veggies. It was just fried fish and a ton of rice (albeit the rice was good). The croquettes were meh - fine but wouldn't get them again.

    Tostones

I got the yellow tail, lobster tail, rice, and tostones and it was the freshest most delish meal I've had in a really long time. The staff was so friendly. There is a variety of seafood to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is clean and the environment is very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The best thing snoopy this place is that you can ask for the food to be cooked and enjoy eating it outside in the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely come here again. I ate the yellow tail before I took pictures.

    Great looking scallops!

They have the freshest seafood possible on display. Pick a fish or any other seafood, and they'll grill it up or fry it up for you to eat outside on their picnic tables, or you can get it to go. The sides are the typical South Florida side with heavy Cuban influence--white or yellow rice, beans, fried green plantains, and sometimes other offerings. If you have a larger group, you can have them fry up a 10 lb "pargo criollo", which is essentially a giant snapper. The meat is out of this world! If you're lucky enough to go on a day when they have "serrucho", I would recommend that you get that for sure. It's the juiciest swordfish I've ever had. I believe the English name for it is "sawfish." They get to be well over 10 lbs, so, again, they can deep fry the entire fish and you can enjoy it family style on one of the outdoor picnic tables. You can also get other terrific seafood, like spiny back lobster (no claws) and have them cut it up with their bench saw and sautéed it in butter and garlic. What a treat! Of course, you're in Miami, so if it happens to be stone crab season, this is a great place to get your fill. The local shrimp is also delicious. This fish market/seafood eatery is a hidden gem. The parking is limited, but you can persevere and find a spot for sure.

From California to Miami with Hey this place does not disappoint from the customer service to the food. Hubby & I will be back everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I will show what we had and next time we are in town we will be back. Finest of all the restaurants we visited. Price was fair for fresh seafood. The smoked mahi mahi dipI'm so mad that I was leaving the next day. Go here uber parking is not good BYOB

    Oysters

I can't speak for their other offerings, but I appreciated the friendly, no frills experience when getting their ceviche and oysters. The oysters weren't quite as briny as I'd prefer, but were still good.

Blackened mangrove snapper, garlic baby octopus and shrimp, salad, rice and delicious home made black beans...
    Bill A.

The food was so fresh and the service excellent. We've been twice, the first time we had the whole hogfish and oysters...the second whole blackened mangrove snapper, sautéed garlic shrimp and baby octopus..both meals were absolutely delicious.

Stone crab isn't cheap anywhere but without a doubt, this is the best I've ever had at a very reasonable price.

Lo and behold Barbaritos is quite literally down the street from our location! Is it good? Better than good... Fresh fish any time and prepared to your needs. Breaded, grilled, whole fish, filet, ceviche, lets not forget they also prepare fish croquetas. Portions are great, saved my soup for later and my boss lady was also able to save some of her munchies for a second lunch break. They really pack on their dishes with flavor. Side note: They don't use a lot of grease so it's not like the traditional swimming in oil dishes that you get in other Latin restaurants. The meals are also low in salt which I LOVE, nothing is worse than biting into something that tastes like salty rocks! I'm not used to seeing take out meals with a great presentation but they made my food look so amazing I felt guilty digging in. Was it quick? Guy on the phone told us 15 minutes! Which is a total bonus. I've ordered from places that take over 45 minutes getting our meals prepared. Service: Initial guy on the phone was a bit peeved with us since we didn't have the menu and we were asking too many questions, which is kinda but not really understandable. But when I got there everyone was really nice! Made sure I got what ordered correctly and gave me a menu! Definitely ordering more, and posting some pics of the menu! And for my fellow yelpers... If you haven't gotten the hint yet why haven't you ordered some nomz yet?
