I called in a To Go order while on the hunt for some Fajita Nachos, and since it was close and had a decent review I gave it s shot. I ordered half steak and half chicken on the nacho, which was ready with-in the ten minute drive there. The portion size was good for one portion and the flavor wasn't bad at all either. Though I have had fajita nachos other places with more cheese and veggies on them, these nacho had a good amount that didn't make all the chips soggy by the time you got to the end of the dish. Best Mexican food in the area. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is clean, comforting, and friendly. They also have good social media marketing that is filled with weekly deals and even Spanish words of the day. The workers there are always helpful and kind. I love the fajitas and chimichangas. I also always ask to put more vegetables in the chimichangas or add grilled jalapeños and they do. Ask for the homemade hot salsa/sauce--it adds a good kick. We went with family for our Daughters 21st birthday! So disgusted our dinner was ruined - El Vallerta in Boardman. Server was Brandy. She snapped at my mom 3 times - was rude entire time - and anyone who asked for napkins, more water, she literally YELLED AT - food has always been incredible here that's why we went there - not today - Brandy never came to ask if we need anything or if dinner was okay - they then came with a sombrero and dessert for our Daughter and they tried to smear whip cream all over her face and she asked them to stop not the server this time but 4 different people - I have a video of her asking them to stop repeatedly 1 they kept it up and attacked her face and scratched her eye - My Husband stood up and his Chair fell over as it got Stuck on the floor and the server was behind him at another table and she said it hit her in her back - my parents my Son and my Husband all saw it was behind her feet - she picked it up and THREW IT at our table and and it hit my knee! She yelled at our table and my Husband got a manager at the front desk - Antonia told her we eat there ALL of the time all she did was apologize - our Daughters glasses were broken from a last ditch effort of one of the workers taker the whip cream off the napkin and put on her finger and scratched our daughters eye - she was humiliated hyperventilating and was taken outside! I let the server have it at that point and told her she should be ashamed at ruining this memorable bday and that you do not have the right to be so rude! I told her do not yell at my Mother again and do not ever mess with someone kids! I repeated You have yelled at my mom 3 times!!!! My daughters bday is ruined! Very disappointed with the food at this restaurant! We were given a dab of sour cream to go with meal and then when we asked for more she charged each $2! Later she asked my husband if he wanted more drink, he said no thank you, there was half there. She took it anyways and charged him for another drink! We couldn't even believe the food on the menu photos was not what we received, it didn't taste very good either. Will never return, and you should make the drive down the road to a different restaurant if you want good Mexican with good prices and taste! There was also a ROCK in my guacamole! They put on the menu that they hand prepare each dish so expect it to take a bit longer then what you would experience at other Mexican joints. This people is a good thing. The food is fresh and tasty. Other Mexican joints have there stuff just stewing away and they scoop and serve it to you which is why it takes 2 minutes for it to come out to you. Enjoyed the chips and salsa, which could have been spicier, but, hey, we're in Ohio. I got the vegetarian combo which included a potato burrito, spinach enchilada, and chalupa. I asked for it spicy, which they did. The burrito and enchilada came smothered in red sauce. Chalupa was delicious. Potato burrito was great. Spinach enchilada was ok and tasted healthy, but I'm usually used to eating cheese enchiladas. Reasonable price. Very filling. Tasted authentic. I would come here again if in the area. read more
