I have been wanting to leave a review for such a long time, however I never went through with it. After tonight, I knew it was time. This is the BEST restaurant I have been to, hands down. The staff are so friendly and they make a point to make the customers feel like family. Every time we go, they know our orders by heart. Hell, one time I called in an order and they knew who it was by the order. Not only did they know it was us, they gave me extra limes that I forgot to ask for, but ask for every single time I go. Tonight, one of the Rancho members brought out a small bowl that I could've been fine without. However, they decided to run in the rain to make sure I had this container. This was easily the worst quesadilla I've ever had in my life. The picture on DoorDash of the steak quesadilla looked excellent, but what I actually received was a horrible piece of trash with ground beef that was lower quality than Taco Bell. I've used Yelp for over ten years, and this is the first review I've ever left. It was that bad. I've included both the picture from DoorDash and a picture of what I actually received for reference. Went there for lunch. Building seemed a little rundown. Went inside and there were two other tables being served. Older gentleman seated us and was our server as well (possibly the owner). Ordered two unsweetened iced teas to start, which were both fresh tasting. I ordered a combination plate and my wife ordered shrimp fajitas. Food was brought out quickly- no more than five minutes. We both thought our meals were excellent. All the veggies were fresh and food was hot and tasty. Salsa was obviously made from scratch. I've read the bad reviews but we had a great experience there and don't have anything bad to say about this place. read more

The last 3 times I have ate there was horrible. The Rellanos were so bad I didn't finish eating. I will not eat at this nasty restaurant.

Food is always so fast. It's our perfect lunch spot. I highly recommend the tacos pastor.

I gave this establishment a second chance. This time, I didn't get food poisoning but, oh my goodness, the waiter acted like he didn't want to be there. Constantly avoiding me and my mother, and he was way to quiet. We left him no tip and he cocked up a nasty attitude. I chuckled when doing so, which pissed him off. This restaurant just recently opened. It's a pretty standard Mexican restaurant for this area. When we sat down, we were greeted with a basket of tortilla chips with a bowl of salsa. The chips tasted fresh, and the salsa had a fairly strong cilantro flavor. The font on the menu was very small. I personally had no difficulty reading it, but the others that I was dining with did. I ordered raspberry sweet tea to drink, which I was told they did not have despite it being written on their menu. To eat, I ordered the Fire Burrito with grilled chicken (steak also available). The burrito itself was a decent size, was covered with white queso cheese and some hot sauce, and stuffed with chicken alone. The chicken had a nice flavor but was somewhat salty for my taste. It had a decent heat to it, but I almost feel it could have been hotter for the term "fire." The burrito was served with a side of rice and beans. Both were very nice, and the beans especially had a very nice flavor. My only real complaint with the evening is that nobody at my table got a refill on their drinks. The restaurant was somewhat busy and is still somewhat new so I suppose this is somewhat to be expected. All in all, it was a good experience. I will probably go back. I'm not sure if it's worth stating in this day and age, but they do accept credit cards. read more

Pretty good. As with most Mexican restaurants, the menu is big and the portions are big (almost too big in my opinion)! We always get the queso dip to go with the complimentary chips and salsa. As far as the menu goes, most of it is standard but they do have a few different things listed: of memory are a fried chicken burrito and a pork and onion burrito. They also have some vegetarian options with spinach instead of meat. The sauces they use are pretty good and I should have asked for extra! We have been here a few times since it opened and everything's been tasty. They also have good drink specials. read more

The tacos are delicious as well as the salsa! Started going regularly for taco night which falls on Tuesdays. They offer beef and shredded chicken tacos for 1 dollar as well as grilled chicken, barbacoa, steak, shrimp and grilled beef for 2 dollars. Tough deal to beat. Decided to try this placed based on what we've heard. Orders were wrong. I'm allergic to onion & specified 'no onions'. It had onions. They took it back, got my order & as I feared, they simply scraped it off, heated the chicken & rice. The chicken was so dry it splintered when trying to cut it. It tasted boldly of onion. The lid wasn't on the salsa, so every meal container was coated in salsa. We ordered three meals & got a 4oz salsa. Definitely not worth going back. Very disappointing. read more

Plenty of parking in the former Hickory Rib in Salem, Ohio. This family owned restaurant is staffed by all Mexican people; very nice, very polite, somewhat hard to understand at times but, along with the music, lends to an original atmosphere of being down south. I was immediately seated and, not only is it clean, neat, and roomy, they also have a very nice covered patio if you choose to dine outside. The chips & salsa appetizer were just OK, chips were not greasy but the salsa was rather bland, no heat whatsoever but was fresh. However, all my reviews on Mexican restaurants are based on the same meal: burritos with ground beef, a dish I, myself, have been making for over 40 years. I received my meal less than 5 minutes after ordering, even before my margarita arrived. Speaking of the margarita, I ordered the jumbo, trust me, you only need one. It was $9.50 and perfect. My Burrito Deluxe was not overly hot to the touch, like so many places serve but was loaded with fresh lettuce, sour cream, and a thick tomato slice. Btw, I asked for the hottest sauce they had and the waiter informed me they make their own but most people can't handle it (that's all I needed to hear!). The portion size wasn't as gigantic as most places and there was some grease running to the side of the dish, but the flavor was memorable; creamy beef & beans that melt in your mouth and packed full of flavor. As I finished every bit of it, the waiter became concerned for my well being as I was sweating so bad from the hot sauce, even the people in the next booth over stopped to talk, perhaps amused by my meltdown appearance. Service was good, attentive without being intrusive. My bill came in at just under $20. I could nitpick and give it 4 stars but I actually waited one day before posting this and I find myself wanting to go back a.s.a.p. Wish it was closer but I'd end up weighing 400#. read more
