El Weirdo absolutely lives up to its name--in the best possible way! Such a fun, eclectic spot with an atmosphere that immediately makes you want to stay awhile. We grabbed seats at the bar and had fantastic service from start to finish. The drinks were great, the bartenders were attentive and welcoming, and the food coming out of the food truck kitchen outside was absolutely delicious. Such a cool concept and everything we tried hit the spot! And the people watching? Top-notch! There is always something to see, and it just adds to the personality and energy of the place. Great drinks, great food, great service, and an atmosphere that's completely its own. We loved the whole experience and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is fun and unusual and every time you turn around you see something new. Very fun and upbeat. Our drinks were delicious: Sangrias and Black Hole Punch. Very yummy and refreshing. Food: Steak Tacos, Carnitas Nachos and El Pollo Tacos, Queso and Chips Steak taco was a little bit chewy but the flavor was very good. The El Pollo Taco had great flavor and our friend who was eating this taco loves hot stuff so the owner brought over some hot sauce that they make in house and said friend said it was wonderful....I tried just an itty bitty taste and my mouth was burning...eeeeek!! My favorite was the carnitas nachos....so flavorful and I loved the pickled onions and black beans on the nachos. Queso was nice and thick and had a little kick to it. Chips came out warm and plenty in the basket for sharing. We ordered their Street Corn and Chips and ate that when we got back home and it was my all time favorite. Perfection!! The strawberry lemonade barely had any strawberries in it today, so I asked for a different drink...she said "NUH UH" and tried to ring it up separately! The male workers were much nicer. On a recent trip here for a quick getaway, we ate here for lunch. El Weirdo is such an eclectic venue with cool art and an 80s vibes. There was so much to take in! From old lunchboxes that served as cutlery holders, to small screen box tvs, to an old beater car parked on the premises, it's truly a sight to behold. Get your phone ready to take lots of photos! You order inside, pay and your food is cooked in the little airstream/food truck that sits on the property and brought to your table. I ordered the Loaded Wizard fries and my friend ordered the steak quesadillas. The food...to be honest, was not the star of the visit. My fries were good, but I didn't care for the toppings. I would definitely try something a little more simple on a return trip. My guy echoed my sentiments about his dish. He remarked that it was "just ok". However, the service was on-point and the visuals make this a place you must visit if ever in Panama City and want an IG worthy photo opportunity. You may like the food too! read more

I loved El Weirdo. Good margarita and tasty, tasty tacos. Funky vibe that kept me cool inside on the hottest day of the year. Outside would have been fun, but I couldn't weather it. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only note: sell the t-shirts for less, like $10. If we are all wearing it, then that is marketing, not an insult to the artist or the printer. Just think about it. El Weirdo is easily one of my favorite spots in downtown PC. The space is equal parts taco heaven and funky art gallery. The vibe? Pure magic. Every inch, inside and out, is decked out in bold, weird, wonderful art. I spotted someone with a sea foam margarita that looked like a tropical dream & I am too adding that to my must-try list for next time! I usually stick to the steak tacos (still 10/10), but lately I've been branching out. The Wizard Fries were wild in the best way: layered, flavorful, messy... perfecto! And the miso Brussels sprouts? We all loved this place! I came to PC to visit my 87 year old grandma and brought my elementary aged kids. There was something for everyone here. My grandma was hesitant based on the name and the exterior but she ended up being a big fan! We went on the coldest day so the outside seating was not an option but boy is the inside interesting. The walls and ceilings are covered with an impressive amount of creativity, art, and effort. This is also a brewery so they had the beer vats and some cool drink options. We didn't do beer on this visit but I will next time. We ordered food and it was delicious with very generous portions. The crowd was very chill and of all different ages. The staff was helpful and friendly. There were activities for the kids and a scavenger hunt of the restaurant. We really enjoyed it. Some less positive comments are it was pricey and the parking is a bit difficult downtown. I'll add photos. read more

My wife and I were in Panama City, Florida and this place looked really cool. It was! We entered the establishment, and it was super cool, lots of good decorations on the wall and there is a whole back room. I ordered a beer. Yummy IPA, it made me happy. I then ordered some tacos, steak and chicken and they came out pretty fast. Really good service and I ordered another type of their IPA and it was just as good. Most people may shy away from a restraint with 'weirdo' in its name. Dont make that mistake. This is not your typical "American Mexican" food. It's Artistic Mexican food with lots of beer (including their own) and mixed drink choices. First of all, you cannot talk about El Weirdo without talking about the weirdness of the decor. Every wall and ceiling surface is covered in creative painting, objects, and humor. Make sure you take a moment to truly look around and appreciate the weirdness. We chose a few things off the menu to try on this first visit. First off, you have never had Brussels like the Miso Brussel Sprouts. A bit of sweet, a bit of savory, and a huge portion that by itself could be your entree, but are great to share. The veggie taco was delicious, filled to the brim with Brussels, mushrooms, pickled cabbage and cilantro. One was plenty. The Ns were piled high with beef, beans, pickled onions, corn, and chipotle cheese sauce. But on Thursdays they have the Chupacabra Burrito. You can choose beef, chicken or veggie. The burrito is stuffed full and then wrapped in a layer of fried cheese. It beautifully weird and delicious. We grabbed an order of the raspberry churros to go. They were also incredible. If you're visiting PCB, it's worth the short drive over the bay into Panama City for this truly unique joint. read more

This was our first time checking out El Weirdo. We wanted to try their tacos and see what else they had on the menu. Upon walking in the vibe is artsy and very relaxed. You order what you want at the front desk, get a number, and find your own seating. They have a large covered patio outside which was pretty cool. Seating is unusual, like old vehicle bench seats. Nothing matches, but that's what adds to the ambiance of the place. When we saw the prices of tacos ($6.00+ each), we thought that was way too expensive because we would each want at least two. That would be $24.00 for four tacos, a bit pricey when you add in drinks. If you are a small portion eater and are only looking for one taco and a beverage, it's not too bad. Instead we ordered drinks and a street corn appetizer ($10.00). I got a margarita and my husband got a beer. They do not have domestic beer at all, just a few craft beers which seem to be good. It was early so I wasn't ready for beer yet. I wanted some type of drink that wasn't sweet, like a Michelada or Bloody Mary, but they don't have those. All drinks are sweet but my margarita was delicious. All food is cooked in an unattached food truck that is in back of the covered patio. A server brought our dip to the table. The dip itself was very fresh and good although there is no crema added to hold the corn together. You can't actually dip it with the corn chips, you have to use a spoon and put it on. My first bite sent the corn falling all over the table and onto my lap. After that I broke the chips in half and ate them that way. Maybe I'm being too picky but I've had street corn and elotes a hundred times. I was expecting something similar. read more

Everything about this place is WEIRD, and I absolutely love it! Seth, Cas, and Amanda are absolute gems at El Weirdo. The restaurant started off as a food truck and has now moved into a storefront as a brewery. The best part? They still use their original food truck to prepare the food. Talk about staying true to your roots! They literally built around their food truck, and it creates an amazing vibe. Food: We ordered the carnitas and steak tacos, wizard fries, and street corn dip. The carnitas' flavor is outstanding. I thought I'd need some kind of sauce before I tried the tacos, but boy, was I wrong. Oh, and they give you two corn tortillas for each taco so you can make a second taco! The food portions are spot on. Ambiance: The place has a fantastic, fun, and energetic environment.
