We visited Burgunbarrel for dinner with four people and enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The live music was really great and definitely added to the experience. We ordered a couple of boards and a few bottles of wine. The boards were good, but not quite filling enough for a full dinner for our group. The bartender was also serving tables, so service was a bit limited and we often had to get up and go to the bar since check-ins at the table were infrequent. Our table was also on the smaller side, which made it a little crowded once the wine and boards arrived. That said, we would absolutely go back -- especially as a date night spot for just the two of us to enjoy a glass of wine and a board as an appetizer while listening to live music. read more

I've been eyeing this spot for a while and finally had the chance to pop in and try some wines. The wine list is fantastic and I learned it's constantly revolving. I was a little hungry from my long drive up to Panama City so I wanted a snack and ordered the bruschetta and it was ok and I'll def try something else next time but it was a very large food menu for a beer and wine spot which is impressive. The staff was incredibly friendly and always making sure I was taken care of. One of the best parts of the night was the live entertainment band. Stumbled upon this establishment while walking out of St. Andrews Pub. We talked to a few people walking out and they raved about the food and drinks. We hadn't eaten so we decided to try it. All I can say is "WOW"! Give me a board with fresh cheese, meats and sides and I am in heaven. Their boards do not disappoint. We also ordered the whipped cheese spread with baguettes. It was so delicious we asked the chef to come out so we could compliment her. The mixed drinks are delicious. Try the Old & New which is a copy of an Old Fashion. They have many wines and beers also. Our Burgunbarrel experience was so good we went back the next day to have another appetizer (deviled eggs), the Mama Mia board, and split a sandwich. Again, delicious, great service, and as great as the day before. Burgunbarrel is now in our top five for Panama City! Excellent addition to the beautiful St. Andrews. read more

So...not sure how I have lived here for over 2 years, working at Little Village in St. Andrews, not knowing this wine bar was right across Beck. I made up for lost time by going here, not 1 time, not 2 or 3 or 4, but 5 times last week. The huge food menu, extensive wine list, and nice selections of ciders, sours and ales, guarantees something for everyone. I've never seen so many cheese and charcuterie board options. Very nicely curated menus, for even the most distinguished palate. And the service team...Chris, James, David, and Tyson, all do their most to make each experience both tasty and satisfying. I was recently visiting family in PCB and we decided to check this place out after seeing the food pics here on Yelp. I was at 1st surprised at how few reviews there were for such a great venue. Upon arrival we found it a little difficult to locate the actual venue. There wasn't a sign any of my party of 3 adults noticed. That is literally our only negative about this place. If you find Slice House in St Andrews go ahead and park. Slice House is on the back right corner of the building, Burgenbarrel is the front right. Everything is ordered at the bar but then food is brought to the table. We found it nice being able to basically set the pace our dishes arrived. The venue has almost a speakeasy feel to it. We ordered a goat cheese in tomato sauce appetizer which was good. My favorite was the charcuterie board options. My son in law got a sandwich (sorry can't remember which one) he liked well enough he ordered another to take for lunch at work the next day. Prices were great. I think they're on par with food quality, the setting, and service. This would be great for a date night, friends going out. There was one party with a toddler with them but it's not a kid forward place...like no kids menu that I'm aware of and it is basically a nice bar so honestly I'd probably hire a babysitter if I had kids that were picky eaters or who couldn't sit entertained at the table in a mainly adult setting. read more

We have been coming to Burgundbarrel for years. We would go pretty much once a week. We would bring our pizza from slice house to Burgunbarrel to go with our drinks we were purchasing there, they are the same owner. Today we went and were told we were no long allowed to bring our pizza to Burgunbarrel. We will no longer be visiting here nearly as often or at all because of this fact. It was over 90 degrees outside and slice house is always hot with no seating for groups of 4 or more. We sat outside sweating and sharing our pizza with the flies. I'm not sure what they are expecting people to do when it's pouring down rain outside. Needless to say they lost a costumer that spends at least $400 a month there. read more

This spot has a nice atmosphere, there was live music and our bartender, Sara really made the experience. The Cajun deviled eggs were the BEST. The campfire strawberries were a hit, too and they have delicious flatbread pizzas as well. We went here for a casual lunch and this place was excellent for a quiet place to enjoy a nice charcuterie board and excellent choice of wines. The board was more than enough for 2 people, and wine prices by the bottle are very reasonable. The decor was very nice with tables, big high tops to seat 6 and a lounge area to chat with friends. I was invited here by a friend in the area after going to a craft beer establishment and commenting that I'm not a beer drinker but do drink wine. I should've clarified! I drink ONE wine that I love and I'm not particularly adventurous when it comes to drinks. But this place was pretty nice. We sat outside and I ordered a Malbec from Argentina and a charcuterie board. The wine was similar to what I prefer and had a full body taste. Pretty pricey so not something I'd order several glasses of but it was a nice change from what I enjoy at home. The charcuterie board was very pretty and had great flavor. The sun dried tomatoes paired nicely with the smoked Havarti and monchego cheeses. They don't give you enough crackers imo. We had to go back and ask for more since 3/4 of the meats and cheeses were still needing to be eaten. It's not like crackers are the most expensive item in the board in comparison to the salame or the non American cheeses so I'm not sure why they wouldn't put enough to begin with. That was a little odd. We also ordered the toasted strawberries. And then waited. And waited. My friend's husband went to check on the order. Because strawberries dipped in marshmallow cream then toasted with a blowtorch shouldn't take almost 30 minutes when there weren't other tables outside and what looked like 3 inside. He was told the order was never put in. Waited about 15 minutes more and finally...toasted strawberries. I wouldn't order them again as they weren't worth the price and tasted like store bought marshmallow cream, super sweet with a burnt aftertaste. And really sticky. Nothing like having white goo on your lips and around your mouth at a wine bar! They're set back from the water so you won't have a view of St Andrews Bay as it's closer to the street than the marina side. Overall, it's a nice, quieter place to enjoy a glass of wine but not somewhere I'd frequent often. They do allow pets outside though which is great because my friend has a beautiful dog that my kids love and I'd feel horrible going to a place she couldn't go. read more

This is our go to spot. Found it by accident but was so lucky I did. I'm a country boy with a shred of sophistication. But even I feel at home here. Always treated like family when we walk in. More wine and beer options than you could ever get tired of. Every charcuterie board has been phenomenal. The Mandatory Meating board and the Sianis & Murphy bruschetta are unbelievable. Miss Asia and Mr. Michael are extremely knowledgeable and wonderful people. Always treat customers with respect. Just let them know your tastes and they'll take it from there. Enjoy! read more

I used to love this place! However, I went to the reopening, had a tab, split it with a friend in cash when I closed. Bartender and I both forgot to retrieve my card. I went back the NEXT BUSINESS DAY, CARD HAD BEEN SHREDDED (but no way to show me it had been shredded). Bartender remembered me (I've been there many times), had seen it had been left, and was apologetic but management was TERRIBLE. No apology, only EXTREME finger pointing and belittling. The most unprofessional experience I've encountered. I will not return until there is new management and will advise others to do the same. A restaurant is only as good as its staff. If you go, I hope you don't need them for anything! read more
