I went in to have two small bumps removed from my eye lid and was told it could be done in one visit. Once dr Shnitkind removed the first one, after waiting 30 minutes in the room, it literally took her 4 minutes to remove it, she then said I had to make another appointment to have the other one removed. When I asked if we could just do it now so I didn't have to come back she didn't even look at me and left the room. Unbelievable and unprofessional!! 35 minutes past my appointment I asked if it would be much later. I was told that I was next. I said that if I have to wait an hour that I would leave. The front desk assured me that I was next. Well after 50 minutes I left as I didn't even make it to a holding room. I feel that the front desk should let me know roughly how late the doctor is and give me the option to wait or leave. Dr is great! Very professional, polite and patient... but the staff at the reception desk is just nasty. Very unprofessional girl at the reception desk will give you a hard time with her attitude. She was very nice to me and my daughter she took her time and checked some of my moles even though it was my daughters appointment and she answered all my questions I have to say she did a great job explaining everything. I am guessing that's why it's a long wait time since she is very attentive. However i thought that front desk is not friendly and could be rude. I would give 0 stars if I could. Waste of time!!!! By far the worst experience and I will not be returning. The staff was extremely rude. I had waited almost a month for this appointment and was so excited for the day to finally come because I have been having a lot of trouble with my skin. When I was on the phone making my appointment I asked if they accepted my insurance and gave them the information and they said yes, so I booked the appt. When I went in they informed me of this huge copay that I "MUST PAY" that I was never informed about over the phone. I finally went in to see the doctor and I told her where I was having trouble. She did not even examine or even look at my skin!! She sat there at the computer. She told me to keep using what I had already been using, even though I told her it hasn't been working (which is obviously why I was there). Overall I am so disappointed. I haven't been to the dermatologist in awhile and so I made an appointment with Shnitkind because I heard good things from a coworker of mine. Well I got there and was highly disappointed. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and I wasn't able to see the doctor unless I paid a huge copay. I was not informed about this over the phone when I made the appointment. Dr. Shnitkind is definitely the best. I come to her for all my skin needs. Recently I've been getting Botox and I have to say she has the most gentle hands, I don't even need numbing cream. Easy to book an appointment and never have to wait long! Staff is accommodating and sweet. read more

I have been a patient for years and have been bringing my kids in if needed. Dr Snithkind has wonderful bedside manners, makes her patients feel comfortable. I would recommend. I was very happy with the way she handled my daughter and the procedure she had to do was not very pleasant. I made an appointment with Dr. Shnitkind because I developed adult acne along my chin. The office was very nice and I didn't have to wait to see her. She came into the exam room and didn't even look at my skin, just immediately prescribed medication without asking too many questions. She tried to give me a pill to clear my skin and the warning she told me was to not take it if I was pregnant. I told her that I am trying and am not comfortable taking a pill with that warning. So I went to see Dr. Shnitkind 3 times.....the 1st time she was very kind...sat and talked about issue I was there for, and gave me meds....2nd time i went with fiance, and she was a little bit short and was "in and out" of examination room fast...3rd time she was TERRIBLE!!!! To start i had a 4:45pm apt(along with 3 other patients!!!) i waited 2 and a half hours to be seen by the doctor, and then was in the examination room for a total of 5 minutes...I went because of a PAINFUL wart on my finger, and all she did was scrape it and zap it...did not explain what she was doing or what she thought it was i ended up leaving there with sample cream and in extreme pain.... 2 days later my finger was swollen, and in worse pain, so i called doctor on a Monday to try and get in for a follow up, and was told they were totally booked until end up Sept and i couldnt get in...after begging for apt they told me I can only be seen in the AM, but had to be called back bc their computer systems went down...I proceed to call the following day and got same excuse...computers down and cant make apts....called the 3rd day begging to be seen, and was told NO bc she was closing in 30minutes!!! The office staff was very rude on the phone, and even in the office.....the guy MA, kept rolling his eyes when I told him I was in alot of pain the 1st day i was there......I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HER AND NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO HER!!! If a patient you saw is trying to come back for a follow up bc of more pain then when you first saw her you do anything to satisfy a patient!!!! I COULDNT BELIEVE I HAD TO GO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR BC SHE WOULDNT MAKE TIME FOR ME!!! read more

Use any other dermatologist and not solely because of the doctor but because of horrid office staff. I called when my daughter had an irregular mark on her and was told rudely by office staff that this was not emergency. She wanted to give me appointment over a month later! Luckily, there are several qualified dermatologists on SI and I was able to get appt. quickly with another doctor. Dr. Schnitzkind also is very quick when she does come in the room - she does not spend a lot of time and I noticed this all the more as I went to the new doctor and he was so attentive. Your office staff is a reflection on you as a doctor and if they are obnoxious and don't respect patients, it says something about you and the standard you are setting. read more
