The groupon deal was great... $23 for a 2 person foot detox. The building made me feel like I was in a mini spa; it was quiet and relaxing. My Mom and I were the only ones getting a foot detox at 2:15pm on a Tuesday, so it was nice to have that area to ourselves. We were also offered water while we soaked our feet for 30 minutes. The lady that helped us was kind, sweet and explained the process. I was worried that they would sell us with their other sessions since we came in on a Groupon, but they didn't. At the end, the employee explained what she saw in our detox, we cleaned up and were on our way.

I lived with excess weight and now, skin, most of my life. Even as a teen I was never able to just be myself because my brain was too busy telling myself I was too big to fit in. My mental journey is a whole other level but what I can say is that dr Thorburn removed a lot of baggage for me. I had a Fleu de lis abdominalplasty and an implant exchange. She removed about 10lbs of skin, tissue, and fluid. She was realistic about my results, and was incredibly supportive of my goals. "I just want to be able to function" I told her. I got soooo much more. She gave me the freedom to finally feel comfortable in my skin. The first week was a rollercoaster. She warned me about that and I thought, meh I'm pretty positive and don't really complain, I'm sure it'll be fine. My first week post op visit was rough.
