    More people wanted doughnuts.......,
    Joan G.

I'm not sure why this place has five stars. This review is just for the service department. I had a 10:30 appointment and was taken right away. (It's a good idea to make an appointment if you can.) I was there for an oil change, tire rotation (I had a coupon) and a 50,000 mile check-up. I decided not to have the 50,000 check-up after finding out it cost $1,100.00. Not a typo. I was sent to the waiting room. And that is what it is - a waiting room. I didn't have to wait all that long. They offered coffee, doughnuts and fruit. The chairs are very large and comfortable. I was out within an hour. My coupon lowered the price from $114.00 to $54.00. I was disappointed that I could not get the 50,000 check-up. I did offer them my first born child but it was a no go. Would I come back again? If I had another coupon. I think I'm paying more for the location (Manchester) and the name Cadillac.

He explained some of the new tech inside and some options I didn't even realize it had. I had to adjust to the shift being on the steering wheel instead of the middle console so it was trial by fire but I really loved it. When I got back Brian was happy to hear that I loved it but I did preface before we left the lot that it was the first dealership I walked into and that I want to test drive multiple vehicles. He definitely gave me more info and comparing to the models I wanted to test drive which I appreciated, but luckily my husband already told me everything he said because he is into cars. He didn't push which I also appreciated. I'm just not ready to purchase yet. I did receive a follow up call two days later and got more info. I let them know I have a Honda with not even 60k miles so it will still be awhile. I just wanted to test drive so I knew far in advance. I appreciated that they said they understood and that I barely touched the surface with the Honda and they appreciated my candidness. Like I told the caller, I'll come back and work with Brian because I'm loyal so don't worry!

I even paid to have a mechanic drive it to help diagnose the issue. Was told that they thought it might have been low engine oil, which they replaced. Fast forward 3 days and I am broken down on the side of the freeway because my engine failed. Was also shown a cabin air filter and told it needed replacing only to have the manager turn to someone else and tell them that was their filter. I checked and mine was never removed. I think they must just have a filter that they show everyone. Have been coming to this dealership for 12 years because that is where I bought my car, but service has gotten steadily worse and I will never go back. Said I was early - never acknowledged that the Toyota dash could be wrong or misleading. Several other employees watched this including other advisers and no one stepped in. This turned into an escalation where he ended up telling me to take my business elsewhere. I did - within 30 minutes I got a call from the manager wanting to make things right because "we got off on the wrong foot" I didn't get off on the wrong foot - the advisor was a condescending jerk who made it all about him being right and proving himself right despite me being there for a simple oil change because the vehicle said I needed oil service. Jay Wolfe service is a miserable outfit and I cannot recommend them at all - especially if you know what you think you want or your car tells you what you want.

It was a beautiful minivan with all of the bells and whistles, only 74k miles and was within our budget. After test driving it, we decided we wanted to buy it. We went into our sales rep's office (Rick Weinstein) where we signed the paperwork. While Rick was very nice, he kept on leaving during the process making us think he was not focused and we were not a priority. There were other sales consultant's sitting around doing nothing. After all of this, we drove off in our new car that my wife loved. Three days later the auto start/stop function had an alert on the dash that it was not working. We called Rick who agreed to let us bring it back to the shop for them to look at it. I got into the car to drive it to the dealership when the car would not start at all. I called Rick again and he asked me to jump it, which I did. The car was able to start and I headed towards the dealership. I called Rick and he asked that I stop at a batteries plus, have them replace the battery, and then he would reimburse me. I told him that I did not want to be responsible for this and his dealership should take care of it. After a while, the dealership said they had fixed the problem, which was the auto start/stop battery. I drove off hoping it was all behind me. After leaving the dealership, I took the car to a friend of mine that runs a car shop. He and his mechanics checked it out and gave it the all clear. I went up there to pick it up and when I went to start the car to leave the shop, it wouldn't start again. The mechanics were very confused and had to jump the car again to make it go. I called Rick and he again asked me to go switch the main battery at batteries plus. I told him that I didn't want do that and I wanted to bring it back to him for them to look at again. After taking a look, their mechanic called me and said the car started many times. I asked that they keep trying to recreate the issue. I did not hear from them again until late in the afternoon the next day. They said that they were unable to recreate the issue and didn't know what was wrong with the car. They made a couple of updates hoping that would work. I called Rick again asking to return the car. He informed me that they only do exchanges but I requested to talk to a manager. He said we could talk to a manager the next day. Mid-morning the next day, the manager, Eric, called me and said that they fixed the car, he stands behind the car and that they would only do the exchange. I kept asking to just return the car as we were both very unhappy with our experience and the next minivan we could afford was 2 years older with 50k more miles on it. He then told me that he had spent too much time on the phone with me and had to move on. This was after a 7 minute phone call. My wife and I spent the next few days torn on what to do. After seeking advice from many people who knew cars, we decided to go with the Honda. We signed the paperwork and took off in the Honda the same day. Overall, Rick was very nice to work with but the sales manager, Eric, was extremely rude. Spending thousands at your dealership should get people more than a broken record repeating himself and then cutting them off after nothing was resolved. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Being torn for almost two weeks on two vans that we did not want and now having a car payment for a van we don't like. We went from an old unreliable car with no car payment and then Elco stuck us with a choice, either a new unreliable car or a reliable car we didn't like, both with a car payment. Rick kept saying "You will be smiling at the end of this" and "I don't want to sell you a car, I want to sell you 10." At the end of this, my wife and I are very angry and will never be going back to Elco Chevrolet or Cadillac in Ballwin. I suggest looking elsewhere for your next ride

I was buying a car and hoping to trade my older one in. Right away the manager came back in and said my car "wouldn't even start." Now, my car has a lot of problems but that was not one of them. He flat out lied to try and devalue my car and then offered me $100 for it. You can get that just for the battery! Absurd and insulting. The salesmen are crooks like you read about, unwilling to work with you much on price and tack on an almost $700 admin fee at the end when you're too tired to fight. Just down the street at Acura, they waived their fee for me immediately. Every lie in the book was used on me at DTEC, like I was an idiot (I look much younger than I am which was even commented on and clearly I was treated like I'm young and dumb), but I played the part because I liked the car. I was there from 11am to close. I was starving and getting dizzy. My salesman offered me a sandwich and pulled out his phone but clearly never intended to spend his precious scheckles. By the end I was so low blood sugar, I could hardly function and what did they do? They locked me in a room with Mike, the Finance Manager, who my dealer Reed boasted was "such a great guy" before I went in. Mike in no way lived up to this. In fact, he was the worst part of the entire experience. Rude, unprofessional, and uncompassionate. I told him many times I was tired, had a long day, I was hungry and not feeling well. He continued to HARD SELL me a warranty that I politely declined so many times I lost count. He just sat there and continued to crunch numbers to get his precious warranty in the bag. I finally convinced him to let me sleep on it. I asked several times if someone could provide me with a ride to pick up my car the next day, after spending nearly 30,0000 dollars!!! NOPE. TOUGH LUCK. "GET AN UBER." DISGUSTING!!! I told my Uber driver this and even he was disgusted and said he would never shop there. He was so appalled he said he was going to call them and tell them. I was a salesman when I was 16. I outsold everyone at my store and I did it by being honest, respecting my customers and caring for their needs. You will NOT find that at David Taylor. I Ubered in the next day, still tired and squeezing in between work appointments. I told them I was short on time and had to be in and out. Reed said I needed to see Mike again. I flat out told him I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE and did not want to talk about warranties, to which he callously replied, "Tell him." THEY LOCKED ME IN A ROOM WITH MIKE AGAIN WHERE HE CONTINUED TO HARD SELL ME AGAIN ANYWAY!" I politely declined again and again until I finally had to SHOUT at him and tell him to leave me alone, get my car, and get me out. I told him "You guys already took me for everything I have." He scoffed and mocked me "Pff Everything you have." Super professional, bud! I could go on but I would fire you immediately! I work in radio and know A LOT of people. I host my own show which thousands of people listen to around the world. I worked in Hollywood movies before that. Really not a bright idea to make this kind of impression on me. Just a little kindness, a little effort to make their customer happy would have gone a long way. Here's the cherry on top. The next day, I noticed damage on the car. I called Reed and he of course denied all knowledge and didn't care, passing me over to the higher ups. I called Burt and he never bothered to call me back. I'm guessing they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help, as is their usual motto at this dealership. I was lucky and unfortunate enough to find the car I wanted here, but will never go back and never recommend. I had such a terrific experience at the dealer down the road and left them a great review even though I didn't buy from them. Know why? Because they treated me like a HUMAN BEING. David Taylor Ellisville only cares about one thing, GETTING YOUR MONEY.

I came one evening after just making an appointment maybe thirty minutes beforehand, and I was connected with Raphael. There were two cars that I was interested in, and while one of them wasn't available at the time, I was able to look at the other car I was interested in; the other was at another Enterprise location and not on site at the time. I would have liked an offer to test drive the car I saw, but I acknowledge I arrived here about fifteen minutes before the place closed, which is a little late perhaps. Raphael is a great conversationalist, and after the we met he followed up with me and even let me know when the other car I was interested in was available for viewing/test driving. I will say that he's not the best at remembering our conversations since he called me back more than once after I told him I would need a while before I got back to him, but he's overall friendly and professional. At this point though I had already seen another car in the area that was more competitively priced than Enterprise's, but I'll definitely keep Enterprise in mind for future business.
