I think we only drove one model and we really liked it. After our test drive, we went back to his office and talked a little. He gave us some information on paper to take home. It was right around closing time, but he didn't rush us - we did leave though so he could go home! He said he would call the next day to follow up, and he did. I'm really shocked by their management team. My car was in their shop for over a year and a half. Elco was paid to do a full car paint job. The paint was so bad an uneven that, Elco elected to outsource it to a paint correction company. (1) The insurance paid for a complete paint job not a spot job. (2) The paint correction company charge them a healthy fee to make it look the best they could he told them up front it was bad. (3) With the other missed items that the insurance had paid for last year. Like sunroof seal, headliner, radio and a lot more. (4) Tried to get them to pay this year. (A 2nd time). (5) when that all fail management suggested that I falsely accused the paint correction company. For the sunroof seal and the headliner. Usually I give higher quality ratings but the service I have received with purchasing a brand new 2024 Chevy Trax from here has been absurd. For starters our car mats were on "back order" for 8 months after we purchased the vehicle. Today I take it into their shop for an oil change, tire rotation and to fix a recall on the start and stop of my vehicle. They proceeded to give me only one update on my car and tell me it will be ready in 30 minutes. I had already been there for 3 hours at this point. 45 minutes roll around and I walk up to the service desk, they proceed to tell me that my car is fixed and ready however they cannot find my keys. I inquired about a vehicle that I found advertised online. I messaged the dealership to see if the vehicle was still available. I received a text message informing me that the vehicle was still available and would I like to come take a test drive. I responded that I lived in West Texas and asked if they could sell vehicles remotely and deliver the vehicle. I received a reply stating that they could sell remotely and arrange delivery and that a salesman would be reaching out soon to discuss the transaction. Shortly after that, I received a text stating that the salesmen were tied up with guests and that I had been communicating with a virtual agent. The salesman informed me that they were going to sell the vehicle locally and that they were not interested in dealing with me since I wasn't local. Evidently, if you don't live in Ballwin, MO, this company does not want your business. This should have been a very easy transaction as I am a cash buyer. read more

I'm not sure why this place has five stars. This review is just for the service department. I had a 10:30 appointment and was taken right away. (It's a good idea to make an appointment if you can.) I was there for an oil change, tire rotation (I had a coupon) and a 50,000 mile check-up. I decided not to have the 50,000 check-up after finding out it cost $1,100.00. Not a typo. I was sent to the waiting room. And that is what it is - a waiting room. I didn't have to wait all that long. They offered coffee, doughnuts and fruit. The chairs are very large and comfortable. I was out within an hour. My coupon lowered the price from $114.00 to $54.00. I was disappointed that I could not get the 50,000 check-up. I did offer them my first born child but it was a no go. Would I come back again? If I had another coupon. I think I'm paying more for the location (Manchester) and the name Cadillac. read more

I took a car purchased from ELCO for oil change, tire rotation, and "multipoint inspection". I used the concierge service to take and deliver the car, I thought. I told ELCO I did not want a loaner car but they dropped one anyway and when asked why the employee said that is how he would return to ELCO when he returned my car that afternoon. Well turns out that he did not return with my car and calls my wife the following day when she tells him that she is busy till 2 he says we stop working at 2????????? And it happen to be a Friday. I called the guy back and ask why he is calling my wife and he said that was the number he was given. I did give that number when asked for a BACK UP number. All 5 calls had been directed to her !!! I decided to get my car and drove the ELCO loaner to pick up my car. I paid the $129 and sat in my car. I checked the car information screen and it showed that my tires were under inflated and in the exact same order as when they took my car. ELCO LIED TO ME AND CHARGED ME FOR SERVICE THAT WAS NOT DONE. THEY DID NOT INSPECT THE TIRES, they did not rotate the tires. read more

WOW, two and a half hours for an oil change! For full transparency, they also did the typical multipoint inspection, probably hooked it up to a computer that does all the work! I've been using Elco's service department now for a couple of years now. I recently bought my second Cadillac from Elco and they give you several free oil change coupons. I bought a used $47,500 truck from Elco and have had to bring it back for a major transmission repair $3,867.47 and $8,028.10 for an engine rebuild job. After which I picked it up and immediately noticed a strange new noise when driving. After taking it back they claimed it was the wheels and gave me a new $1,200 quote to replace them. What sucks is I bought this truck with 57,000 miles on it and before putting 45 on it myself the engine and transmission went down. No warranty, and both jobs were supposedly only labor (3,231.56 and $6,130 all labor). I still owe $30k on the truck and just got the $8,000 bill so I'm severely upside down from what still owe to what it's worth.. and there a been a few other bills too, of which I'm over $12k or $13k in total work since I bought it. And One thing that I've always remembered, that sticks out, was when I took it up for the first oil change shortly after purchasing, they asked if I wanted a "free quote," so I said "sure," and their quote came out to be $32,000, so $15,000 less then when i bought it a couple of months before. I really dislike big dealerships that will screw you at every opportunity they get and give you salesman responses and claim they have no ability to help you (their customer they sold the lemon to) other then doing the work and charging full premium price++ on top of it. For what I've spent on this truck I could have bought the same truck new, not to mention I pretty much hate driving it now because it makes a terrible sound sense they completed the $8k engine work. And more recenty, the tire sensors went offline - the same week I picked it up. The rear left sensor went out so returned and their tech said he would do a "reset" to see if that would restart it but that just made the other 3 go offline. Of course he didn't tell me that before I left, he just said the reset didn't work. They only acknowledged it in an e-mail after I noticed it and reached out.. I'm really a pretty understanding guy, but after all these extremely expensive repairs its made me really dislike Elco, Chevorlettes in general, and my truck which I have to live with and pay off.. This is an extremely courteous and friendly dealership. Customer service both in sales and service department is one of the best I ever experienced, and coming from a retired Navy admiral who has purchased numerous cars and trucks over 40 years, I've worked with a lot of dealerships. In fact my dad owned a major Ford dealership in Miami. I would recommend Elco Cadillac to anyone who is in the market for a new or used Cadillac or needs to have there car serviced. You will not be disappointed. Just an update. My wife's 2017 SRX had a battery issue and the Service Department sent out the 24 hour Roadside Assistance Man (Pat). He was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Pat replaced the battery (no charge, under warranty) and did a optest of the vehicle to ensure we were 100%. All without leaving the garage! This is for SERVICE ONLY: I replaced my front brake pads and rotors on my Escalade here, saw the online coupon for $490 total including installation plus tax. First of all, I made an appointment for 7am and when I asked if it would be done by 9:30, the advisor Robb Smith acted like I was being crazy and condescendingly tells me, "The appointment is just a waitlist. There's not guys waiting out here to jump on your car to work on it." Well, what's the point of having an appointment system then? Or was this just the way he acted only towards me? When it came time to pay, it came out to be more than $500, and when I asked the the front desk girl, she just said "Oh, those coupons are for the ones that use not very good parts." Apparently this dealership will use BAD parts on your vehicle. I asked for an alignment too, but of course they didn't do it. I also asked them to do an overall check before I put 2000 miles on it, and every time they do this, they say all is well, no leaks or anything, even though the always wet puddle of oil on my garage floor tells me otherwise and I know for a fact that the engine mounts are bad. The service department here is horrible. You cannot trust anything they tell you and you'll end up having to go to other auto shops to figure out and fix your car. read more

I purchased a used Escalade from Elco in 2017 and every since then every visit to the Cadillac service department has left me feeling horrible. I was always treated like I was inferior or unworthy as if it was a burden on them to have to answer any of my questions or fulfill any of my service needs. I always wished they would just service my vehicle and treat me with all the courtesy & dignity that they so easily treat all their other customers with. Maybe there was something I could have done better to make them feel comfortable enough to treat me as an equal. Was it because I was using warranties rather than paying cash, that made them feel I didn't deserve complete service, I don't know. Just recently they maneuvered away to prohibit me from taking full advantage of the warranty package I purchased for my vehicle, by telling the warranty provider inaccurate information about my vehicle's repair needs, so the warranty company would determine that I'm not covered for that particular repair. They even failed to completely successfully complete a repair that was actually covered by my warranty. Not to mention, I paid $500 for spark plugs & wires, but still not enough money to get treated with a little more decency, I guess. Now I have since then went to another vehicle service provider where all my service request, plus a re-do of what Elco Cadillac said they completed & more was easily fulfilled and paid for using the same warranty company that Elco, specifically Service Advisor, Matthew Hohenstein, convinced to deny me coverage. Now I can only guess why, I was purposely only provided limited coverage when I had all the coverage I needed for all the repairs that I needed. I need to know what was it about myself that made my Service Advisor Matthew Hohenstein feel justified & necessary to not only limit my use of my warranty but speak with me in such a horrible belittling manner. read more

Disappointed with their service department. I have a nail in my AWD Cadillac XT5 and called in the morning to find out about getting it fixed. Must replace all 4 tires because of AWD. When I called back to set up the appointment, no one could help me. I was assured someone would call back before 6--you guessed it--no one called. I know the tires are able to get in quickly but was told service is backed up. Very upset could not even get a call back when I called twice to set up an appointment. Bought a vehicle 5 years ago from this dealership. Been a faithful and loyal customer of their service department ever since. Will not be returning and will not be purchasing any other vehicles from this or any affiliated dealership. Less than six months ago my vehicle's was running rough and the service suspension system light activated. I immediately called in for service and the vehicle was repaired. This past week my vehicle was suffering from the very same issue and I scheduled a visit and returned to the service department. Upon my return I was greeted by the service manager who informed me it would be $160 to diagnose the problem due to the expired warranty. I informed him that they recently had done the very same repairs and I didn't think that was right. He informed me that they would not be able to even look at the vehicle until I agreed to pay the $160. This was the final strike for them... Previously and just one month prior I was in for routine check up where they showed me a drawing of my vehicle and highlighted several dings and scratches which I was well aware of. They sold me on paintless dent repair package to a total of $290. When my vehicle was returned to me I looked at the areas which were to be repaired and all of the same scratches were visible. I asked that they show me where they had made repairs. They summoned the gentleman who performed said repairs and he couldn't anything but a general vicinity that had supposedly been repaired. I strongly recommend if you are in the market for a new Cadillac that you consider your options closely. Finally, do not fall victim to their upselling of this worthless paintless dent repair service. read more

Purchased a used Camaro a week ago from ELCO Chevrolet. Had been looking at others that were in Illinois and Kansas both less miles and 2 to 4K less in price. This one came in and since I live 5 miles away wanted to check it out. Decided the extra cost was worth the hassle of going to another state. Paid cash, but still had to go through the laborious process of talking to finance guy who wasn't aware of cash purchase, then switched to a 30 minute ramble of the extended warranty, that I made aware I wasn't interested in at the outset. Leaving the dealership, the windows were up and stereo, A/C on. Car seemed a bit loud, but not so much as an issue at the time. Later, driving and accelerating on the highway, the sound was unbearable. Looking underneath, I noticed there were no mufflers. I texted my salesman and asked how this could go out this way, and be able to pass inspection. He stated he talked to the shop and that it had a "premium exhaust system." B.S. It had straight pipes from the engine back. The exhaust system was faulty, extreme resonance when driving. I am now out 1000.00 dollars as to having to have the exhaust replace. I've been incorrectly billed for the same tire replacement service three times. Despite my responses to the same/each invoice in writing, explaining that their service manager has instructed me repeatedly not to pay the invoice, I continue to receive harassing/false invoices. And despite asking that Elco (accounting) in writing to at least acknowledge receipt of my responses, they remain mute. They obviously lack a team approach to service. A BBB complaint might be a better option. This has been ongoing for over three months. read more

Terrible experience getting my Cadillac serviced at Elco. I took it in for a rubbing noice I was hearing. Of course after the diagnostic they came back that I needed $5,782.40 worth of work done to my 2006 CTS (The type of bill that makes you think about a new car... Elco is also a dealership... hmm). Given the extreme depreciation of new cars, I wanted to keep mine as long as I can, so I paid for the items the rep (Mark) said I needed to pass inspection and a couple others he lead me to believe would help extend the longevity of my new tires. I specified that I wanted to take full advantage of the $100 rebate GM offered on my new tires so to get the tires that were eligible for this rebate. Mark got the ones that made me eligible for the $70 rebate... I explained that I wanted the $30 difference, at which point he told me they couldn't. So I asked to speak with the manager, who I played phone tag with for a couple days. Finally I get into his office and explain I'm eligible for other competitor coupons Elco states they'll honor, and he tells me he'll mail me a check, because he can't decrease the bill for some reason or another. He proceeds to tell me "I've already discounted more than I should have." The check he wrote was for $96.00... The bill came out to $3,711.05... how generous of him. He asks who the check should be made out to. I said me. I received the check in the mail a couple weeks later. The manager made it out to my mom who bought the car years ago and I bought the car off of. So she had to meet up with me, so I can give her the check, to go to her bank to cash the check when she had a chance, to meet up with me, so I could get my 96 bucks. I won't be having work done at Elco or purchasing a car from Elco for the rest of my life. read more
