Had a great time as a 2nd time visitor to this POLO CLUBlove the grounds the friendly people...it's kid and pet friendly.!

Polo season at EDPC is from November to April. Spectators are allowed to tail gate and watch the matches. Great place to spend a few hours relaxing and watching the action. Good looking women bouncing around on horses for the men and men in tight pants for the women. After the games head over to the Tack Room for a drink.

    Match on Sunday, January 13th.

Fantastic Pre-Season Soccer in Palm Desert…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we had a GREAT TIME!! The Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament is pre-season soccer for men (MLS) and women (NWSL), played at the Empire Polo Club in February each year. We have visited Palm Desert for many years, and have visited before and after the tournament the past couple years, but have missed attending; thankfully schedules aligned this year. After watching previous games on YouTube, this year we got to be there in person! The tournament's site offers some challenges on finding General Admission tickets; after some time we found that the Los Angeles Galaxy (LAG) were managing the tickets; a quick call with Miguel, who was very helpful, and we soon had our tickets in the app ready to be there for the soccer. Thanks, Miguel!! Parking for soccer was easy to find based on the online map and following the signs. For food, under the semi-permanent tent they have food trucks and an open bar. Here is little shade on the fields; some palm trees in the corners offer a place to cool off; otherwise if the skies are clear, the Palm Desert sun will provide copious doses of Vitamin D to lift your spirits. DJ Alf Alpha provided dance tubes all day and there were various soccer skills for fans to participate in. Even when the weather is not as nice as it was for us, this is still a great facility, with low humidity. Fun fact... the Salton Sea is the second lowest point in the US, after Badwater Basin / Death Valley; if I calculated correctly, the Empire Polo Club elevation is 5-20 feet. Thank you to everyone who makes the Coachella Valley Invitational possible! As Major League Soccer transitions its season to match the rest of the world, and to spread across two years, but no soccer in cold Jan/Fen nor hot July/Aug, we hope you'll continue the tournament as a mid-season break tourney. ----- ----- -----

I've been for others things. The dog show, for instance. It's a nice outdoor space. There are areas that are very rich in foliage and give plenty of shade. The staff has always been nice and helpful, from the parking people to the security and cashiers, I've never have anyone be ambivalent. Food is, well, epic expensive. If you plan to spend $30 on food and $10 on drinks, you can get by. Beer was not outrageous though, which was a surprise. I definitely recommend going. Parking has always been easy. Some events it's free parking, others it costs, so plan ahead.

We played the Mountain course then the Royal course to make 18 holes. The Royal course was in slightly better condition, meaning there was a titch more green grass on the fairways and greens but very poor conditions overall. I played the forward tees which sometimes didn't even exist. I had to just play wherever color was the most forward. The sand was more like mud. No fluff. Carts were old and no yardage indicators. I gave it a three for a couple of reasons. First, we played fast! I love playing my own pace and our threesome played in less than 3 hours. Second, the staff we encountered were all very nice. This course has some work to do. We will not be coming back.

We tried to find other accommodations near by but because of the holiday weekend, we were out of luck. We had planned a get away with another couple to relax, enjoy the pool and bbq. Boy were we in for a surprise! We were drawn to the place because of the pictures on the website. And because it's in a gated country club resort. That website is extremely misleading!! We were given rooms on the second floor. As the husbands were getting our luggage out of our car, me and my other family member decided to take a look at the pool area from the second floor. As we look down, a gentleman was rolling up a hose for cleaning the pool. He immediately says to us "are you the ones that complained?" in a rude tone. We told him "no, we just got here" and he tells us "well I can't perform miracles". The pool was STILL DIRTY!!! We walked to our rooms and gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he just wasn't done cleaning it. My husband opened our room door and it was extremely hot inside. My family members were right next door and their room was cool because the AC unit was on. So we hung out for a bit in their room. The room was run down, the bathroom was dirty and the shower had mold around the bottom. We decided to check our bathroom next door. The toilet was disgustingly gross. It had mold all over it. The shower was just as bad. Please see pictures below. I told my husband that I was in no way going to use that toilet as it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months!!! The guys went to the office to find out about changing rooms. The manager was extremely rude! She just didn't want to hear it. She offered us a free drink!!!! When my husband said no she then offered him a free meal!!! Again he refused and said we would not even sit on the toilet. She then offered him two additional rooms to look at. But when the reservation was made online, we were given a statement that said 'you just booked the last room'. VERY MISLEADING!!!! We took the better of those two rooms offered. That room was just as bad! I've attached pictures of the blow dryer in the room along with a video of the bathroom ceiling fan every time it was turned on, that's the noise we had to hear. The water in the bathroom sink would take forever to go down, see video. On to the outside pool area. I've attached pictures of the bbq that was disgustingly dirty. We would NEVER put anything we were going to eat on that. Along with the outside furniture and lounge chairs. I wouldn't even feed my animals on that table or have them sit on those chairs. Look at the jacuzzi and pool filters. They haven't been cleaned in months. Both pool and jacuzzi were filthy!! This was after my husband complained about our room and the pool area. Another gentleman rushed over to clean the pool and furniture along with the bbq. I don't know what he cleaned with but we're sure it wasn't with chemicals or cleaning supplies. They were all still filthy! We ended up having to find things to do outside of the hotel resort grounds. When we returned back for the night, we were locked out of our room! My husband had to walk down to the security gate and a security guard had to come open our door and told us we would need to go back to the office in the morning when they opened to get new key cards. Worse hotel we have ever been to!! Never again!! Doesn't even deserve one star. I could go on even more but I'm getting frustrated and grossed out all over again. And to the manager, learn some manners if you're in a management position.

Don't get me wrong though, Justin Beiber was fun and he played our favorite song, "Beauty and a Beat." We got tier 2 tickets since tier 1 was sold out quick. Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!

PGA West Team I…read morerecently had the misfortune of playing at Nicklaus Tournament Course and I can confidently say it was one of the worst golf experiences I've ever had. After an exhausting seven-hour journey to get there, I was expecting at least a well-run course with decent service. Instead, what I encountered was pure frustration. The welcoming team that took our bags were amazing. They were very professional which the pro shop desk could take notes from. The Marshal was very knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately he didn't check for proof of purchase which led to immediately confusion for the clubhouse. From the very start, 1st hole on the fairway is where we were met by the marshal asking us to show him proof of purchase. We were harassed four separate times during our round by staff demanding to see proof of payment. We showed the Marshal our proof of purchase the very first time he came out to ask us. Even with that they continued to harass us continuously. Instead of properly managing their tee times and checking players before they started, they allowed this disruptive and unnecessary situation to happen repeatedly. It was frustrating, humiliating, and completely ruined the flow of our game. I've played at many superior courses that actually value their guests and take pride in their facilities. Compared to them, this place was a joke. The fact that I spent a full day traveling to and from this disaster of customer service makes it even more frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. Not due to its course but its clubhouse employees. This doesn't take away from its great course aesthetics but takes great people from playing your courses. Save your money, your time, and your sanity--play somewhere that actually cares about the game and its guests. Indian Wells and Classic Club were very Professional. They had amazing people and their customer service was top tier.

This last visit really did it for me. I went to see Cardi B, which was a great show, and I had amazing seats. My mistake was taking an Uber from my house, which is normally only a 10-minute ride. It ended up taking 50 minutes just to get into the rideshare drop-off area. It honestly felt like they were prioritizing VIP and self-parking over rideshare, because those lines were moving while we were stuck in stopped traffic. Getting picked up afterward was even worse--it took over two hours because our Uber driver couldn't get in. For an arena of this size that's been open for several years, I would expect a much better system and flow for rideshare. I understand parking is a big source of revenue, but if rideshare is offered as an option, it should also be managed as a priority.
