I would not suggest just showing up, go online and see what is happening and what is available to watch. LOCATION: Everything was perfect, what a location! FACILITY: First class operations from a spectators perceptive. FOOD: We brought our own, BBQ'd some dogs but the Cantina was open I believe. There are options at different times of the year depending on size of event taking place, just check the Eldorado website. LIBATIONS: Well, no comment but I believe a few people were enjoying a beverage. STAFF: Very accommodating. From security to event staff all were great. OVERALL VALUE: Excellent fun with a little effort. For sure you can purchase tickets and see other seating options online. TIP: We try and bring people out who have little to no exposure to Polo and were unaware just how much fun this is and it is in our own backyard.

Beets $13 could use some arugula to temper the sweeter champagne honey vinaigrette and add color plus there is a ton of goat cheese that needs help to down but overall quite satisfying. Fantastic Pre-Season Soccer in Palm Desert…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we had a GREAT TIME!! The Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament is pre-season soccer for men (MLS) and women (NWSL), played at the Empire Polo Club in February each year. We have visited Palm Desert for many years, and have visited before and after the tournament the past couple years, but have missed attending; thankfully schedules aligned this year. After watching previous games on YouTube, this year we got to be there in person! The tournament's site offers some challenges on finding General Admission tickets; after some time we found that the Los Angeles Galaxy (LAG) were managing the tickets; a quick call with Miguel, who was very helpful, and we soon had our tickets in the app ready to be there for the soccer. Thanks, Miguel!! Parking for soccer was easy to find based on the online map and following the signs. For food, under the semi-permanent tent they have food trucks and an open bar. Here is little shade on the fields; some palm trees in the corners offer a place to cool off; otherwise if the skies are clear, the Palm Desert sun will provide copious doses of Vitamin D to lift your spirits. DJ Alf Alpha provided dance tubes all day and there were various soccer skills for fans to participate in. Even when the weather is not as nice as it was for us, this is still a great facility, with low humidity. Fun fact... the Salton Sea is the second lowest point in the US, after Badwater Basin / Death Valley; if I calculated correctly, the Empire Polo Club elevation is 5-20 feet. Thank you to everyone who makes the Coachella Valley Invitational possible! As Major League Soccer transitions its season to match the rest of the world, and to spread across two years, but no soccer in cold Jan/Fen nor hot July/Aug, we hope you'll continue the tournament as a mid-season break tourney. ----- ----- -----

I've been for others things. The dog show, for instance. It's a nice outdoor space. There are areas that are very rich in foliage and give plenty of shade. The staff has always been nice and helpful, from the parking people to the security and cashiers, I've never have anyone be ambivalent. Food is, well, epic expensive. If you plan to spend $30 on food and $10 on drinks, you can get by. Beer was not outrageous though, which was a surprise. I definitely recommend going. Parking has always been easy. Some events it's free parking, others it costs, so plan ahead.

I travel a lot, and I'd say the hotel rooms are good for the price. They show a bit of wear from frequent guests, but they're generally clean and well-kept. The mattress is comfortable, the sheets and towels are fresh, and the furniture is in good shape. The room is one thing, but the overall hotel experience is another--and that's where things fall short. Examples: The hotel is not staffed on-site, around the clock. One evening, I returned to my room only to discover my key card didn't work. I went over to the security booth. Although the security team aren't hotel employees, they fortunately had a master key that let me back in. It was lucky I planned to stay in for the night, since they couldn't issue me a new key. If that master key hadn't worked, they would have had to contact an on-call hotel employee. The key cards and room locks were a bit finicky. Our group had booked five rooms in total, and I wasn't the only one who ended up locked out in the middle of the stay. I understand that business is slow during the summer, but the hotel suspends its cable subscription during the low season (?) I understand that almost everyone has a mobile phone nowadays. Is that the reason telephones have been removed from the rooms? There used to be an ice machine by the hotel laundry room, another in the cart barn, and one more in the clubhouse kitchen. Now, the clubhouse kitchen has the only one left. One morning, as our group was getting ready to head out for a round of golf, we learned that the machine broke down overnight--and there wasn't any fresh ice anywhere on the property! It seems the hotel management office hasn't been open for some time. For check-ins or handling other hotel-related matters, head over to the golf pro shop inside the clubhouse. Putting sentimentality aside, I'm giving a low score in the hope that ownership takes this review as an opportunity for improvement. I also can't overlook the chorus of complaints from my travel companions. Finally, I'll give Nick and Samantha "five stars". Interacting with them, I can tell they're trying--but I think ownership is impeding their efforts.

I've been to Coachella 3 times before and this year I went both weekends. I was here in the early 2000's before it became what it is now and I can tell you it's massive now. Before this year, the last time I was here was in 2013 and the stages were nowhere near as big and high tech as they are now. Favorite set this year was Nine Inch Noize at Sahara, Ceremony inside the Sonora tent, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. It's the best music festival in the world and worth the hefty price tag. Concert tickets are just about $100 plus dollars, so you're able to see so many artists for less than a standard L.A. venue ticket. HIghly recommend doing it once in your lifetime, but it is exhausting. Don't go back to work for a week after you attend all three days and book a spa day or a massage, the Monday after.

Don't get me wrong though, Justin Beiber was fun and he played our favorite song, "Beauty and a Beat." We got tier 2 tickets since tier 1 was sold out quick. Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!

PGA West Team I…read morerecently had the misfortune of playing at Nicklaus Tournament Course and I can confidently say it was one of the worst golf experiences I've ever had. After an exhausting seven-hour journey to get there, I was expecting at least a well-run course with decent service. Instead, what I encountered was pure frustration. The welcoming team that took our bags were amazing. They were very professional which the pro shop desk could take notes from. The Marshal was very knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately he didn't check for proof of purchase which led to immediately confusion for the clubhouse. From the very start, 1st hole on the fairway is where we were met by the marshal asking us to show him proof of purchase. We were harassed four separate times during our round by staff demanding to see proof of payment. We showed the Marshal our proof of purchase the very first time he came out to ask us. Even with that they continued to harass us continuously. Instead of properly managing their tee times and checking players before they started, they allowed this disruptive and unnecessary situation to happen repeatedly. It was frustrating, humiliating, and completely ruined the flow of our game. I've played at many superior courses that actually value their guests and take pride in their facilities. Compared to them, this place was a joke. The fact that I spent a full day traveling to and from this disaster of customer service makes it even more frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. Not due to its course but its clubhouse employees. This doesn't take away from its great course aesthetics but takes great people from playing your courses. Save your money, your time, and your sanity--play somewhere that actually cares about the game and its guests. Indian Wells and Classic Club were very Professional. They had amazing people and their customer service was top tier.
