I arrived at 6:00 am for an early tee time to beat the heat. I was welcomed by Jose and it was a pleasure to meet him. He explained where everything could be located (driving range, chipping area, and the putting green) and got me a cart to hold my clubs. Waters were already in the cart sitting in ice and Jose started to get the range ready so I could hit some balls. The course is tight at times and you definitely need to be able to control the ball as best as you can. The fairways were immaculate and the greens were the same. Greens were slow, and allowed for some aggressive putts. Golf course was an absolute blast and the team working the course is incredible. $59 for a 6:30 Monday tee time, a cart, range balls to hit at my leisure, and a hospitable staff makes this place a must.

Jose welcomed us at the Pro Shop, took our clubs, and gave us a helpful rundown of the course, which made a great first impression. The rest of the Pro Shop staff were just as friendly and accommodating. On top of that, the course itself was in excellent condition well-maintained, beautifully manicured, and a pleasure to play. If you're looking for a course that combines outstanding customer service with great playing conditions, I highly recommend this place.

If you were looking for a great executive (mid-stage beginner, shorter course) golf track, this is…read moreit!! Maintained well enough to be super enjoyable. My wife is a beginner and I try and keep her off big tracks where most men forgot how crappy they were when they started and are in a rush to get around. The cart boy was super friendly and helpful to us, and made my wife feel very comfortable from the moment we were arriving at the course. And also later in the day when we were having difficulties getting something to drink, he assisted us then as well. My only suggestions would be, now caveat here is that they may be impacted by Covid protocol still, but their snack bar was closed by the time we got around the turn at 2:30. It was 105° and even the pro shop was closing and was initially reluctant to sell us anything because they had already started counting the drawer. That is a huge breakdown on the customer service side and on the planning side. If you're going to close early, then put some vending machines out there. Or allow your cart boy to do sales from a cooler. But why would you remove the opportunity for Gatorade, a Coke, power bars, an orange, a banana, you get the idea, quick simple items that can be refrigerated and then put out the next day for members or visitors. I really dislike playing golf courses where there are homes along the fairways, and this course does a great job of giving you ample buffer space for the mischievous, super slice that creeps into my game periodically. I was still able to find my non center hit balls and only lost two balls into the neighbors backyards. They have gorgeous water features on the course. I would recommend that they include a little bit more greenery or a fake middle island on stilts for pond shade because the water isn't very deep and as hot as it gets, I can only imagine the temperature of the water goes well up it is barely sustainable for the nice beautiful large fish they have in their ponds. Overall, for an executive course in the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area, I highly recommend going here. They have a nice grass driving range, clean rolling putting green, and all the basics you need to get great 18 executive holes completed in hot, but fair, resort-like and playable, 4 hours or less. Note, we were here for Labor Day weekend when the state and national parks closed due to the amount of fires in and around campgrounds. So instead of camping we came to Palm Desert. It was hott . Tips, bring an extra towel for each player, like a kitchen sized towel, and keep it wet and put it into the ice cooler that is attached to your golf cart, every three Dash four holes, wrap it around your neck and cool off your overall body temperature. Keep cold water, hydrate, periodically put ice inside of a baseball cap, don't wear a visor, and you will be OK for A great executive course experience.

I'm writing this review with genuine disappointment, as I had high expectations for a property that…read moremarkets itself as a premier country club experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit fell far short of the standard one would reasonably expect from an establishment in this category. From the moment I arrived, the service felt disorganized and inattentive. Staff members appeared disengaged, offering little acknowledgment or direction, creating an atmosphere that felt more chaotic than welcoming. Simple requests seemed to be met with confusion or indifference, and at no point did anyone step in to provide the level of hospitality that should define a country club environment. The facilities themselves also left much to be desired. Areas that are typically considered showpieces -- such as the dining room, locker rooms, and outdoor spaces -- showed signs of neglect. Tables were not promptly cleared, chairs were left out of place, and overall cleanliness did not reflect the premium status this club claims to uphold. For the cost of membership and the reputation they promote, these oversights are not minor; they are indicators of deeper issues in management and quality control. Dining was equally underwhelming. The menu felt uninspired, and the dishes lacked both presentation and flavor. Even basic items arrived lukewarm or poorly seasoned, which suggests a lack of attention from the culinary team. For a club that should pride itself on offering an elevated dining experience, this was perhaps the most surprising disappointment of the evening. I do believe this property has tremendous potential, but my experience made it clear that significant improvements in service, training, and operational oversight are needed. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as members and guests deserve far better.

*La Cucina is Fantastico*…read more Had an amazing lunch here with my good friend and everything was outstanding from the food, customer service and spectacular views surrounding the swimming pool overlooking the cabanas, golf course, palm trees and mountains. Sat outside on the patio for some fresh air because it was a beautiful wind-free day -- tho the casual dining room is tastefully decoreated and liked how the tables are spaced out for more for privacy. There's also a nice big bar area with counter seating and tables. I don't eat a lot of meat & dairy but when I dine out and wanna cheat from eating clean, I lean more towards it -- especially things I don't normally cook at home. I'm a sucker for short ribs but even though I did not intend to eat meat & cheese...took one look at the menu, read the description and was sold. And glad I did because not only was the Short Rib Melt cooked & prepared perfectly and Double-Delicious, I didn't want it to end. I savored my meal slowly, but my buddy kept trying to rush me after plowing through his Ahi Tartare. The Sweet Pot Fries that accompanied my sando, were excellent and served exactly how I ordered -- well done without salt please -- plain & simple is how I enjoy most of my food. But there was nothing plain & simple about this wonderful restaurant located inside the Toscana Country Club. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality. My only grip but it's not a complaint because everyone here is/was so damn friendly & accommodating ~~ especially the lovely hostesses. But IMO, most of the staff (are probably told & trained) to treat everyone like Royalty. Some people & guests at Country Clubs might need and expect this type of treatment. However for me, it was a little too stuffy and prefer a more relaxed vibe. I get it and respect it -- it's "a Country Club thing"...but I prefer to be treated as if the customer service is not beneath me...tho appreciated the efforts from the entire team at La Cucina & Toscana. Grandslam I'm a Fan.
