This review is solely for the July 4th celebration. I was looking online for fireworks near my sister's and was happy to find out this school would be having them for the first time this year. Before, we would either drive out to Corona or Rancho Cucamonga, or we'd celebrate out where I live in L.A. However, L.A. is now moving towards drones which are boring in comparison to actual fireworks. I know drones are better for air quality and are reusable, but they're just not the same. There's something about hearing the loud bangs and the surprise of what colors and forms will come next. With drones, they're silent and there's no spontaneity, just tight formations. Anyway, I was so happy that there'd be actual fireworks here. We got there a few hours before the 9pm fireworks because I knew there'd be food trucks and entertainment beforehand. Parking was free and easy since they have a few big parking lots. Once the fireworks were over, though, it was a nightmare because no one was directing traffic and everyone was leaving at the same time. At one point I had 2 cars from different directions trying to get in front of me so that we made a Y. Meanwhile, people were walking and squeezing past. It was so dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. There were metal detectors and security guards at the entrances which made the event feel safe. We also saw an ambulance truck parked close to where the fireworks would be as a precaution. The singer of the Journey cover band said that the event was planned out as early as January and you could tell the organizers put a lot of work into it. Everything was laid out into sections: food, shopping, games, a car show, Porta Potties, the stage, and the gated off area where the fireworks would be. We were easily entertained for the few hours we were there before the fireworks. That being said, I know that this was this event's first year and they really went all out. My worry is that they'll start cutting costs as years go on and it won't be as good anymore. In the meantime, I'm hoping to make it a tradition for us to come here for July 4th every year from now on...Unless I remember how much I dreaded the parking situation and decide it's not worth it or they switch to drones or both. read more

Nice and large gym, plenty of free parking, and very friendly, welcoming volunteer staff. My family, friends, and I visited this gym for a high school playoff game. The gym itself is of a good size, but the challenge for our school (Bishop Amat High School) is that we roll deep, meaning we have a HUGE fan base, which results in a very large turnout of support for all events affiliated with the school. The challenge at this gym was that there were not enough seats to accommodate everyone, which was not the school's fault, as they did their best to accommodate our school. THANK YOU! As far as our school is concerned, we won the game and now move on to the CIF Division II Championship game next Friday night. read more

Worst school you can go to in the district. The office lady's are rude and don't know what they are doing. They couldn't transfer me to another line and hung up on me. So disrespectful and not personal. The security guards are weird towards students and be following them to the bathroom. read more

Most of the kids that attend this school Don't live in the neighborhoods near by. You have a lot of transferred in students. This is a very unsafe school that does not have enough staff. A lot of hush hush issues. The stem building not for everyone to use it's on a " Raffle basis" I've seen rough schools in this is by far one of the worst schools I've ever seen. They get weekly treats and multiple assaults have occurred on campus and they always sweep it under the Rug. Once we found out that there was a lockdown not through the school, but through the ring cameras of our local Neighborhood. The classes are over impacted and there's not enough staff members to keep the student safe at this campus. My children have witnessed stabbing , fights and experienced bullying as well. The "principal or whomever is filling in at the time"(principal was arrested for covering up SA) play it off or ignore it. I highly recommend to keep your kids away from this school. All they care about is funding for the school and not the children. read more

I moved into this neighborhood because I was told the school was a Great School I was told their football program was awesome. I have never ever had so many issues with the volunteer kids staffs that are in the office along with the office staff, and along with the teachers, if they don't like your student for whatever reason they will never ever help then succeed. I am very disappointed because no one's voice will ever make a difference in the school. All the teachers are on the same team and they will never change the way they are and the way they address situation being in the school feels like you're trapped in a corner no way to get out if you want support and help. This is not the school for you. If you have a problem, they will never back you. they will never try and fix it. They will never do anything. As far as the football team, so much favoritism so much unfairness that happens on that field. The coaches are very out of control. They speak to the kids horribly and if you would like to know what I mean, just attend one game that's all it will take. Make sure you do not take your kids because the games are not kid friendly, the coaches speak very aggressively to the kids. They bring them down they don't bring them up. They make them feel like they are worthless and that's not just with one kid that it is with multiple. One of the coaches comes from norco I'm not sure why he left in Norco and chose to come to Roosevelt, but you can tell he's not really trying to do anything for these kids again there's a lot of favoritism and if you're looking to go to the school don't do it. I regret ever making this decision. This is something I could never change this is something I can't take back from and I apologize to my son because this is something he will always remember forever. His last years should be amazing. But these kids constantly get punished for simple non-sense and constantly are threateNed of being kicked off for not making the right plays. Coaches should take responsibility. All they show the kids is to be hostile not out in the field but from coach to student! Multiple times I've seen the coaces have to calm down their own coaches example coach Woodmore is one step from loosing his complete mind'. Went to a football game and the rent a cops took my 7 year old daughter and my water bottles with our ice water and dumped them out because their staff and students have issues with alcohol. I am 6 months pregnant and my daughter is 7 years old. Why would we be drinking alcohol??? They could tell by opening the bottle it was ice water, alcohol has a smell to it. Just because your staff and student need to go to AA doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to have a water bottle! Then stated we can purchase a water inside, nope! I will not be supporting your school in any way. If my son was not playing I would have just left. Bad enough the lady smelled like a walking box of lit cigarettes. Then upon leaving a kid was separated from their parent and instead of trying to help they just told the kid they can't come back in to look for their parent. Such a shame! Would not recommend sending your teen to this school or attending this school for any reason! read more

The parking and pickup for this school is so catastrophic I thought it would just be for the first week, but considering the amount of students there are (over 6000) it' has been an EVERYDAY thing. Currently sitting in a line at a light about 20 cars back from the school. The anxiety caused from this is unnecessary. Most of the bathrooms being locked, having to travel over 5 minutes to the nearest restroom during class time. Locked vending machines expect for lunch, before school and after school. Inconsiderate to the students here who have stomach problems, i've been physically sick without eating here and the only option i had was the vending machine at those times. Not having your school ID makes you late because the staff makes you go to the nearest office to print, which can take 10+ minutes. Why make your students more late? Overall there are very few teachers who care about their job, and students. Other teachers are here for the money. Bitter energy from a majority of the staff members like the office ladies, some security guards, teachers, etc. It's disappointing. read more

Best High School in America. The staff the administration the athletics department everything about the score is top grade a number one. The student body is one of the top in the entire nation grade point average test results graduation rate it goes on and on college acceptance rate everything about the school in Eastvale California is by far an example for all of the schools to follow. read more

This has got to be the worst school I have ever been too, never learned much listening to teachers ramble on and on about nothing but ridiculous busy work. I was fed poorly at this school and insanely overcharged for ALL senior events... I didn't realize paying for what should make senior year feel a lot less of prison would feel like constantly paying a vehicular payment. Most teachers are kind of lame and wouldn't really bother putting in the extra mile trying to help you but honestly... I have to give it to the school, this place has got to have the best janitors around, this place is always spotless; that's not including all the vandalism stupid underclassmen do to all the restrooms. (Bathroom privileges have been heavily reduced and require any student even leaving class to fill out a digital form and to sign back in when returned or else security will come look for you) read more

this school is probably one of the worst schools ever I'm a freshman in this school and it's just so bad . Teachers don't help at all most of them just want there paycheck and that's it I've asked lots of time for help and seems like I'm getting ignored I have a older brother who is a junior and he has ADHD and he should be getting better help he has a right to he's gotten bullied all through his freshman year til now and all the complaints we've done with Carillo and much more assistance principals they have done nothing to help my brother still suffers due to bullying he has wanted to commit suscite caus of it it's really bad do NOT recommend it here not at all read more

There are some great teachers, but others seem to just be there for the paycheck. The school is way too big for students to get any type of help or to feel a sense of belonging. To many of the administration and counselors they are just a number. Even with the STEM school being built, the campus still is juggling too many students for the school to really care and help anyone that needs it. Often emails and calls are ignored. At times they will tell you up front that there are too many students and they are too busy to get to your student. It seems like the focus of the school is on the top performing students and the athletics program than typical students. read more

After I graduated high school In 2017 I was placed in a Work Program for Disabled Adults at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, California. When I got to Roosevelt I knew I wasn't going to like it there because they treated us like little kids. All of their bus passes were taken away because one student forgot to bring his bus pass back to class. They did crossword puzzles and other busy work, which they never did at my High School Santiago. I was not allowed to use his cell phone during breaks. The students had to socialize. To be honest I'm not very social.The students put their heads on their desks while raising their hands for a vote, again childish. I had to play kickball on Fridays. This supposed to be a career prep class. My best friend in the class innocently bought some "video game" shot glasses for his uncle during Christmas shopping. I think it was Call of Duty. The teacher named Mrs Kelly Leyva became angry and went through all of the students backpacks and summoned another bus. My best friend and an Aide were forced to return the shot glasses to the store. This same student had other run ins with the teacher. Another instance was he had to do a crossword puzzle (which he is never good at) before he could eat his lunch. This happened a few times and it was very disruptive. Just remember that these are young adults with disabilities. Neurotypical people don't even do that. The student subsequently dropped out of the class. I was forced to sit next to a student who bothered him and bullied him about sports teams. The teachers told him to ignore the student which made it worse for him. Another student always touched him and he accused me of being in trouble. The teachers told him to ignore the student instead of doing something about the touching. In other words this place was a nightmare and the teacher and aid named Mrs Kelly Leyva and Miss Samantha Wirenga are mean people and teachers to others. read more

This School will not help your child if he had a hard time understanding the work. Teachers don't teach anymore, so why are they called teachers here at this school?... need to change what we call them at school to staff members. If you have a kid that has issues understanding and asks for help in class but gets the "Meet after school for help" from the Staff Member, then what the hell is the point! then you understand, but if you have a kid that has no issue, then you don't understand where I'm coming from but glad you don't have to go through this. If you just moved into the Eastvale area, try to send your kids somewhere els for school... Being very serious about this. read more

My little brother has ADHD and his counselor and teachers have been doing a phenomenal job at helping him with his schoolwork and grades. His counselor even got him a really nice fidget spinner to help him when he gets antsy. read more
