I needed to have three ceiling fans installed in my house and relied on Yelp to help with the process of choosing an electrician. After some searching, I found Electric FX Corp (Daniel Ollum) and decided to contact him for an estimate. He was very prompt in answering questions via email. After reading his many great Yelp reviews and checking out his license, I decided to hire him for the job. I quickly found out that the Yelp reviews were right on point. Daniel arrived right on time (8AM on Father's Day!!!), was friendly and professional, and had his shoe covers. The installations went smoothly even for a room that had very little ceiling access (he had to fish the wire about 30 feet from one room to the other). He even laid down a drop cloth to so that dust and insulation wouldn't get on my kid's furniture. He vacuumed everything after he was done so that it didn't even look like there was work done. On top of three great installations, he even checked out and fixed my doorbell at no cost. When we are ready for more fan and lighting installations, my wife and I will not even think twice about hiring Daniel again. Bought a 2007 home with pre-installed mounting for fans on ceiling. Called Daniel to have three of the fans installed. He was very efficient, had them done in a jif without any problems. He was able to use the existing switches to have the fan and it's lights on switches. Also had him change some old light switches for us , no problem. He was very helpful! I called about a minor problem. Three outlets in my house weren't working and he was able to give me directions to fix the problem. The G-5 outlets had to be reset by pressing the reset button. Apparently, the outlets control several outlets within the home, so next time a few outlets don't work, you can reset the breakers in your home before checking outside. read more

Pros: Daniel arrived early, was attentive, made himself available (on 4th of July), did the work in the time he said he would, and left everything cleaner than he found it. Very reasonable in his pricing as well. So glad we found a reliable and trustworthy electrician. Cons: longest game of phone tag I've ever experienced. Probably more to do with AT&T on my end. I am very pleased with the service I received from this company. I had an outdoor outlet that was not working, had a handyman supposedly fix it but it was still not working. I found Electric FX on Yelp and liked their high rating so called them out to get it working so I can connect my Christmas lights. Should have called them first because it would have been fixed correctly the first time. Turns out the handyman had installed the switch incompletely, forgetting to put in the bottom screw. These guys were honest and told me exactly what had been done and charged according to the reduced level of effort. I have electricians here now fixing a stove top job they didn't pull the proper electricity for. When I called to ask Daniel to fix it, he said he would send me a price last weekend but he did not. I purchased $1600 worth of parts 4 the job, from where Daniel purchases parts regularly he credited me about $500 towards my bill. they left live wires hanging for the oven they had to come back and put a box in for that. their measurements for boxes are off so I shocked myself while moving a plug aside. It was hanging from the wall. I needed to recut cabinets so the sockets can be attached to their boxes they left sawdust, wires and trash in almost all cabinets and drawers they cut holes in drywall and left them unpatched. read more

I tried calling multiple times during open hours and no one answered. On final attempt, I left a message about our more immediate repair as well as a request for quote on a panel replacement. Several hours later, I have yet to receive a return phone call, even though the Yelp page says they respond to quote requests in about an hour - if they didn't make this claim so prominently, I probably wouldn't have left a review at all. In the meantime, one of the other electricians (with equally high Yelp reviews) that I called around the same time, returned my call, scheduled a same day appointment since they were in the area, made the repairs, quoted for the new panel, and left, giving me time to wonder how it's possible that I haven't even received a 30-second courtesy phone call saying at the least "we don't have availability right now" or "I'll call you later to schedule an appointment." read more

This is a little late, but I wanted to take the time to share some details about the Low Voltage job that Bill and Daniel worked with me on. I remodeled my home and have had to work with many trades in the process. One of the issues I faced is that I did not call in the low voltage service until my walls were closed up and every low voltage guy I called told me that they would need to open my walls up again. I called Electric FX and the process was very easy. Daniel was extremely responsive and he provided me with excellent pricing. The contract was completed in a few days. Bill came out answered all of my questions, listened to my concerns and provided great suggestions. He created a data HUB/cabinet in one of the rooms and wired all 5 rooms to the cabinet with a hard wire internet, cable and hung 2 TV's on the walls. All the wires ran through the house and attic, which created a very clean look. I was really worried about 2 rooms that did not have a large crawl space and Bill assured that he would find a way to get into the space to prevent us from opening up the walls. Overall the service that I received from Bill and Daniel was excellent quality. The best part about this is that I did not have to open up the walls!!!!! I definitely plan on calling them back to set up the sound system for both indoors and outdoors in a few months.
