We had Brayan come to my place to install new extension outlets in my garage as well as rewire some conduits to put things to code and clean up external wiring to enable me to hide things neatly behind plywood. He was able to install the outlets in both existing plywood wall installations and unfinished walls expertly. For the plywood wall, he routed the wires so there was no need to drill any extra holes in the wall , except for the new outlet. The work was done precisely with no sloppy gaps. From organization failures in their billing department to being outright mean and rude to me, a customer who has done multiple jobs with them and wanted to support their business further. I requested a quote for the installation of a 220V line. Initially the process started smoothly. I received a quick response and I had an appointment scheduled for a review within days. Then things went a bit sideways. I was told that I did not have enough capacity in my main panel for the new circuit. I then followed up with a question about an open circuit in my subpanel. And waited. And prodded. And waited. And prodded. And waited. Finally, after about a week and my third follow up, I heard back with a request to send the same pictures I a had already sent during my first consultation. I sent these and waited. And prodded. Electric heroes charged me 1710$ for installing recess lighting in my living room at my home in Union City. The quality of work, fineness, attention to details, planning, execution are extremely far away from where one would expect from a professional electricians who charge such hefty amounts. Here are the problems they created with the installation. 1. They were totally confused on the planning part itself. They certainly don't seem to have clarity of thought and rather expecting the owner to navigate the thought & planning process. Be that as it may, I accepted that and fully participated in the planning by leaving my job. In the hindsight, I'm glad I did it. 2. Now execution part, they couldn't install 9 lights into 3 rows properly. More than 2 lights were completely out of line by 5 inches. I had to find the misalignment and correct them. As a result they punched 2 unnecessary holes into my ceiling. The guys are extremely reluctant to even fix the holes by simply pinning back the cut part of the sheet rock. I had to request and push them todo it. Even after spending lot of money on covering the holes and painting, it still looks a bit odd if I observe the ceiling carefully. 3. I accepted both 1 & 2, but now, post installation, all (i.e existing lights) the lights in my house are flickering as soon as I turn on the newly installed recess lighting. This flickering never happened before. They simply messed up even the switch installation & electric wiring while they installed the recess lighting. I feel like I'm being cheated and plundered. I feel like Electric heroes should return some of my money back and come fix the flickering in my home. If you don't know how to do a job, just don't accept it. Please stop messing up with the customers and their homes & dream projects. read more

The service was great. Our technician, Matt, was experienced and worked with us until the stubborn problem was fixed. My issue is with the billing person who was horrid. They apparently had some staff changes in the past month and were backed up with billing. She said she was new? She was not aware that I had already reached out to them because they never sent me a final invoice. We intended to hire them for a larger job and needed to tie up this one. She was rude, condescending, threatening, demanding, and hostile. I could not believe her adversarial communication style. I highly urge you to get her off your billing team because she failed miserably at customer service and was not able to collect payment. She should not be interacting with customers at all. The fact that they were able to give me price quote over e-mail based upon my description of the work to be performed told me that they were very confident in their abilities and experience. I was contacted by other providers who wanted to charge a service visit fee that can be applied against a job before even giving me a quote. I understand the need for that practice when the job is bigger, but when the job is relatively small and what I think should be routine, I feel that an experienced and confident service provider should be able to give a fairly accurate fee quote. I actually thought I was requesting contact and a quote from one of the electricians I found on Yelp, but they sent my request to the top 5-rated electricians. I appreciate that the technician came earlier than scheduled but that could mean I might not be home (they came at 10 am when my schedule was 1-2pm). My garage door and the electric socket next to it lost power overnight so I decided to give EH a try. However, for a service that only took 2 minutes (if at all) and a mere pressing of a button, I was charged the diagnostic fee of $185. I understand professional fee and all but for a 2 minute service and pressing a reset button, I am not sure if charging this much is warranted. I contacted them and appreciate the 50% discount but even that, I still felt a little robbed. I called these guys for an electrical issue that I was having at my apartment building. The tenant was complaining that 2 ceiling fans and a few receptacles stopped working all at the same time but there was still half the place working just fine. I checked all the breakers, everything seemed to be working so I called Electric Heroes to try and figure out what the problem was. Brian came and looked at things for less than 10 minutes before he said that he wanted to replace all receptacles, switches and wiring to the non functional areas. The likelihood that all failed at the same time is slim and none yet he wouldn't do anything else unless he started that way. What a joke. When they had to exceed the quote, they explained why very well and even told us that we didn't really need to install a separate line because attaching to the original line was just as safe. The only thing that wasn't perfect is that the person who came out apparently tried one area first to install the outlet, and then abandoned that and put it somewhere else, leave several holes in the plaster.
