I can do a lot of work construction myself - so when it comes times to hire somebody I'm basically impossible to please because I always feel like I'm paying someone else too much to do a worse job than I could do if only I had the tools and time. Moreover, normally with the trades people it is really difficult to communicate, get a clear picture of the work, understand what sort of materials they will use and at what price point, and what the breakdown of their labor will be. Not so, with Alpha Electrical services. Konstantinos was wonderfully communicative, and friendly to boot. This guy even called me back while he was on vacation halfway around the world to make sure we had our work scheduled at the right time and day. On top of that, he sent me links to the materials he was going to install (several outdoor GFI outlets - some attached to my house, and some out in my yard and on my patio). He explained all of the electrical code protocols, exactly how he would run the lines, where he would put the boxes, and offered friendly advice about the best equipment and installation procedures. When the day came to do the work, Konstantinos arrived on time and although he worked solo - he installed two yard outlets, three outdoor gfi boxes, and had to run new lines from a new breaker that had to punch out of my concrete basement walls. Amazingly, he hid the wires wonderfully behind my sheetrock basement ceiling with almost no perceptible cut and the punches to the outside were clean, minimal, and sealed up beautifully. This guy communicated wonderfully, worked efficiently, treated my property as if it were his own, and did a job better than I was expecting while all along the way suggesting little tweaks and improvements without being a pushy salesperson. (He also treated my little dog who is very fearful with a lot of respect so naturally that earned him mega bonus points). In short, I basically never pay contractors to do a job and feel good about it at the end but this guy really delivered with a price that beat the competition! BTW Whoever this Dan R. guy is clearly is out out of his mind - my experience working with Alpha Electrical couldn't have been more stress free, seamless, professional, and beyond satisfactory both in regards to price point and end-product. I just wish I could find other contractors this reliable.

He asked for half the money up front. This made me uncomfortable, but I gave him money against my better judgment. I asked him if I gave him half the money, if he would apply for permits the next day. He said "yes". This guy went to the bank with my check the same day! The money was gone from my account in less than a hour. This made me very nervous but I had faith. A week later, I called my town's building department to see if any permits were filed, they assured me that nothing was filed. I called EBU to find out what happened. The first thing the guy said was that he was upset I called with my phone's caller id blocked. He then said that he would just give me money back if I was going ask so many questions like I was doing. At some point, I decided that I no longer wanted to do business and asked for my money back. At this point , he proceeded to tell me how he couldn't refund my money because he paid for the permits (lie), already bought materials that couldn't be returned (another lie), spent so much time at my house (lie). I have 9 cameras all over my property. He was there no more than 10 minutes looking at my panel and maybe 35 minutes total at my property. When I called bulls**t on all on his lies, he told me I'd have to drive to his office to get my refund. I told him I was unwilling because I didn't feel safe. At this point, I was so disgusted, I just let me rip me off for a $250 service call, just so I could be done with this man and his lies. I have dealt with many contractors. This was among the worse experiences I have had. Stay far away and think long and hard before you give him money up front.

Because here it is late August ... hot as he__, .. well you know how hot it is, and guess what?!, my ceiling fans are working fine and the on the wall wiring looks professionally installed, albeit, perfectly fine. I'm having my apartment painted soon, in late September to have all the on the wall -- WIREMOLD-- colors blend in with the paint on the ceiling and walls. There were some hiccups on the invoice but they credited me appropriately when I pointed errors out to them. they corrected problems immediately. So all in all this is the place to go folks if you want professional service from professionals who have all the supplies you'll ever need for electrical type work.

On the day of the job, John arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and was accommodating with our alternate side / street parking situation (this being Sunnyside). Effectiveness: They probably got 20% of the grime off my brick house before telling me it was not possible to get it any cleaner. I have to believe that a company that does this routinely could have given me a heads up that the "textured brick" or whatever could have made cleaning impossible. On the sections that did get clean, e.g. bluestone elements, there are uneven spray patterns indicating that they didn't attempt to do everything they could. Overpriced because I paid the agreed price for way less than the agreed upon service. Somehow they also brought a social media guy out with a whole camera rig to film themselves _not_ getting my house clean, which was pretty funny.

I called on a Friday afternoon, just an hour before they were closing, hoping to get help with my beloved Artemide floor lamp that had mostly discontinued parts. Luca answered and kindly told me to come by, while cautioning that they closed at 3 PM. I rushed over, and I am so glad I did. Not only was Luca welcoming and professional, but his knowledge was incredible--he had even worked for the Rondo company in Milan and knew this lamp inside and out. What a rare find! A friend of mine once spent four hours unsuccessfully trying to fix it, and Luca solved it in under 20 minutes with absolute ease. Beyond his skill, he was one of the nicest people I've met in customer service--genuine, thoughtful, and truly passionate about his craft. I needed new fixtures, i wanted floodlights and super bright spotlights. New years resolution, I took my journey to yelp. I typed in electrician and found leading electric. I hesitated, ill be honest, but i checked their site and decided to give them a call. And how happy i am that i did... After working out the details they dispatched a technician to my place the same day I called within the hour! and bada bing im walking into paradise every morning. I sell antiques and the shine that the lights bulbs provided (recommended by the technician) make my merch. Glisten! No more dull gloomy store. The fixtures and lighting trims are sleek and chrome. The price quote was negotiable which i liked, and felt that was fair. All in all, this place was helpful, courteous and efficiently did what i asked of them. One of the reasons I opened up a yelp account was to tell you about my experience with this company. Recently I got married and as with any couple, moving meant renovations. Where im from, that meant getting new lights, fixtures and making sure I have an outlet for every iPod and laptop I have, alot. I asked some of my friends who they would recommend, as word of mouth is usually the most trustworthy, and two of them told me about leading electric. I called them up expecting nothing and... I was pleasantly surprised . I spoke witt an extremely professional individual who knew things about electrical word id never imagined. I explained what I needed, he actually was by my house within 15-20 mins and after I showed him what I wanted, he offered his advice which was really helpful, and the price quote was fair, and within the day I was good to go. My experience with the company led me to this conclusion. Electrican Techs sent a 2 man team to do some installations in my house. They showed up an hour late, then proceeded to complete most of the work quickly and efficiently. After two and a half hours of work, they insisted on leaving (at 1:30pm) with the job incomplete. This would have left me without lighting until the next day. I called the dispatcher to complain and she sent me another electrician to complete the job that evening. I later called for a job quote for future work, but what they gave me was useless, as they would only provide a total quote, instead of an itemized one. The best part about this company is Rosemary the dispatcher, a total joy to deal with. Everyone else is sub-par in one way or another. read more

Don't be fooled - they're great on the phone, responsive, seemingly professional, but the work that was ultimately performed was decidedly sub-par. Every light they installed had one flaw or another (improperly set, hole cut bigger than the light itself, not in the position we had marked out etc), and they made a remarkable mess in the process. I'd give one star, but they sent Warren out after I complained to reinstall the switches (which were almost comically crooked), so at least that was eventually done right (and the lights they installed do turn on and off, so there's that). P.S. Had they sent Warren to do the original job, I bet this would be a very different review. read more

I called Electrician Techs to check out the outlets in my new apartment and to install a new flush mount. They were great - super responsive and I was able to schedule quickly. I needed them to come a week after I contacted them, but they did have next day availability, which I appreciated. They sent over all the COIs and licenses my building needed right away. The tech was also great - he answered all my questions and checked out all the outlets and tested them. He installed the flush mount quickly and double checked that it was working. Highly professional and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend them and will use them again for any electrical needs! read more

I had a ceiling fan with lights installed where there was no light fixture, and also several outlets replaced. Steve did everything smoothly, quickly, and neatly. He also wore a mask the entire time -- important if you're worried about COVID. Moshe was great about scheduling everything. I live in a co-op and the co-op required some paperwork from the electricians. Moshe did everything promptly. Also, the total cost was about $500 less than what another electrician offered. We had a funky wiring situation in a bathroom, and wanted to install a new smart switch humidity sensing fan switch, or at least find out if it was possible. The technician was punctual, patient, and helped cleanup the switch box! In the end because of the old wiring in this old house we weren't able to connect the smart switch, and installed a traditional timer switch for the fan. I had them install a 30A circuit in my box and run a line up and over a hallway and then down the wall to power a new washer/dryer. It was easy to book an appointment and they quickly sent a reasonable quote over after I shared pictures. I was dissatisfied with their service. Initially, they assured me that they could complete the work, but in the end, all they managed to do was replace a ceiling light fixture in under 20 minutes. We had discussed the job beforehand, and I even sent pictures, which they said would not be a problem. However, they ended up charging their minimum fee of $258, which I find unreasonable given that they couldn't complete the entire job. read more

I was told no one installs a 3 prong for a new appliance. They also grossly overcharged me for a replacement double breaker...450:... outrageous.. I just noticed that one of the screws they used to anchor the new box is protruding from the wall on the other side. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
