This was my second time having my hair done by Trang. She knows exactly how to treat my fine Asian hair. I showed her a photo I found online and asked her if she could make my highlights lighter. I have grey hair so she also treated my roots and blended everything so beautifully. After my color treatment she gave me a nice trim which made my hair look healthier and fuller. I had my eyebrows redone. I had microblade eyebrows in the past at another shop. It was so painful. After 1 week they developed scabs & all the ink fell off. After multiple touch-ups, with the same results. This time Trang did my eyebrows called "Shading" with minimal discomfort. Even with previous scars, the ink stayed on. Eyebrows looks great. I don't recommend this place. My eyelashes are burned after lift service couple weeks ago. I spoke with Tran about my issue thought pics, text msg. & a call. We agree that she will return my money but till today she didn't, also now she is refusing to answer my calls! I dropped in to this salon because it was close to where I was and I needed a hair cut badly. I used yelp to find it. It is old and a little shabby but I couldn't have been treated any better and $20 for a haircut, WOW. Jane cut my hair and did a better job than stylists I have used at 3 times the price. She juggled 2 other haircuts while she worked me in and no one felt neglected (the other 2 haircuts were obviously regulars). She cuts a lot of men's hair. Needed a haircut badly as I hadn't had one since February. Jane took my wife and I on short notice and even though we technically were not her clients yet, she fit us into her busy schedule. I was very happy with the haircut she gave me and my wife was grinning from ear to ear with her highlights and cut. Elegance's Hair Design is located in that little, shabby strip mall across from Lowe's on 234. The interior is somewhat crumby in the sense that it's old, mismatched and dated. The place is ran by two Asian ladies and they are super nice. I have been going here for a few years now and Jane always cuts my hair. They are open six days a week, closed on Mondays, and she works every day. Although appointments are accepted I just show up and never really have to wait. The place is kinda hidden around the corner and does not seem to get a lot of traffic, but they do have their fair share of regulars, men and women alike. I'd encourage anybody to give them a try. When I'm looking to get my hair done, I look for the diamond in the rough stylist that is all about the work they do. This place is it. No frills, down to business, look good hair. Jane knows hair in cut and color. She uses Goldwell high end coloring product which is hard to find anyone trained in this European-based brand because of the intense training and cost of the product. She does it for the client and it lasts. I went back after no cut or color for 9 months and she brought my highlighted hair to style with only a trim! The color work done was still fresh. She knows the right cut and color to use based on the face of the individual and lifestyle. Her prices are reasonable and she is polite the entire time. She always has seats available and keeps it personable. I pay for the service and knowledge, not all of the fluff. She is tucked away in a plaza that's hard to see, but I'm letting out the secret of where to find a professional exceptional stylist because she deserves 5 stars. read more

Couldn't be more pleased with my haircut. Just moved to the Manassas area and used yelp to find this salon. I'm not interested in paying $100+ to get a simple hair cut in a hoity toity salon. This was just what I had in mind. I called in the morning to see if I could come in. She gave me an appt for that afternoon. There was no waiting. Received a wash/cut/blowdry/straighten for $30. The cut is amazing, my favorite haircut in years. She also spent what seemed like fifteen minutes straightening my hair.. every last wave and cowlick! Usually after getting a haircut I have to go home and re-style it to my liking because the hairdresser doesn't really finish the job- not this time! It was amazing. It's 15 bucks for a men's haircut, the owner is a sweetheart, and she'll shampoo and cut your hair faster than you think is possible (while still doing a great job). Works for me! She started talking to me as if I was an old-time friend, and I felt as if I was home. The salon is old and not refined at all, but the service is fantastic! I went to Jane based on the reviews that had been posted here. It's definitely a no-frills place. I got an appointment for the same day. I was very nervous because I'd been chopping on my hair myself and was actually embarrassed to go have someone fix it. Jane is just as sweet as can be. She cut my hair way shorter than I'd expected and I was kind of in shock when I left - but the more I look at it the more amazed I am. It's probably the best cut I've ever had in my life! I do want it a little longer, but realize she probably had to cut it that short to fix what I'd done. I'll never cut my own hair again as long as Jane's around. TWENTY DOLLARS????
