I cannot thank Gloria enough--she literally saved my hair. Ms Judy is the best! I needed an urgent mom hair chop and called around to see if any salon could accommodate me right away. Lots of great stylists here. Gloria is fantastic. She cut my son's hair and did a great job, so I decided to make an appointment with her for my color (roots). She has a great aesthetic, and she nailed my color -- dark, but not tooooo dark!! So I came back for a trim. It took a couple weeks to grow out to the length I like, but it is such a great cut I can let it dry naturally, and it still looks great. The vibe in the salon is really lovely, and everyone seems to enjoy working with one another. Gloria is a lovely person and I enjoyed working with and getting to know her! they are very polite and nice. they did not do what I asked to do. I asked for highlights and low lights. I told him I didn't like it when I got all over color the time before which is why I hadn't been back. they did highlights and all over color it seems. I told them I wanted the gray to be mixed in and as it grows out, it isn't as drastic, but now that's not what I have. I have all over color that will have a big line when it grows out. I couldn't go back to the place I had been going to because they moved to DC. I have been trying to grow out the color that they had for over a year and a half, and the other place had been working with me . now I have to start again. I am very disappointed. I've had Gloria and Grace cut my hair for a while but I got Vicky this time. I don't know what happened. I had my hair cut by another hair dresser before this and just wanted Vicky to take off an inch, give me a V shape in the back, trim my bangs and redo that one layer I had to give it definition. She gave me horrible, choppy layers, a wide U shape, and my bangs were ok. I pointed this to her and she was adamant that it was a V shape and that this was what I had asked for. After some back and forth, she finally said she would redo it again. It seemed like my commentary had pissed her off because she was yanking at my hair as she re-wet it to cut it again. She would not apologize but only say "whoops" and chuckle as she saw me wincing and trying hard to keep my head still. She had taken off another inch and it was NOT close to anything I had asked for. I was late for another appointment so I had to leave. Grace, the owner, noticed that I was not happy and we rescheduled for me to come in that Wednesday to redo it. Vicky ignored me when I came in, she was with a customer, which I get. Grace sat me down and started doing her best to fix my hair. And be her best, I meant she snipped here and there, fixed my bangs, and then dried my hair. She told me that with this haircut, I would have to dry it a certain way or use hot tools so that the layers won't come out looking like they do in the pictures below. I could hear Vicki in their break room making commentary about my hair during this time. Before I left, Grace mentioned that I could please revise my review. Which was wholly disappointing to me. You're a professional, a business owner, and you're ok with me leaving with my hair like this? You're ok with your employee acting the way she did? I'm so disappointed. I have to use hot tools to curl my hair so that it looks decent. I use heat protection but that doesn't stop my hair from drying out from the hot tools. read more

You guys, I'm in love!! I walked into that place feeling like an old hag who had let herself go. When I left, I felt pretty and alive again! My hair was badly damaged, way too long, stringy, lots of gray and it did absolutely nothing for me. I got a cut, the gray covered, some rocking highlights, by this amazing woman named "Jenny". She really listened to me and answered all of my questions. She really took her time with me and wanted to make sure I was happy. I felt so pampered. She spent a long time massaging my scalp when shampooing, got me coffee and water, talked with me about all kinds of things, the whole time, and was she was just so much fun. I was able to return for a shampoo cut blow dry since my last visit on Labor Day weekend. This business took my temperature as I entered. Grace, owner and stylist extraordinaire cut my hair, as usual. She brought my hair back to life. I feel so happy when I look in the mirror. A neighbor came to my door to drop off something (mask on) and she commented on how nice I looked. The men in my family have also gone for haircuts by Grace in the last few weeks and they are also happy campers... Neighbors on the local fb page have asked for recommendations for colorists because they can't take their roots anymore. I visited this place after seeing positive 5-star reviews on Google. I was a little hesitant at first due to the pandemic situation, but this salon is very clean and follows necessary COVID-19 procedures such as social distancing, temperature checks, and provides hand sanitizers and masks if needed. I hadn't gotten a haircut in more than a year, but I was pleasantly impressed with the professional and welcoming environment and personnel. This salon is great! It's clean, bright and they play good music. Grace was referred to me by my former stylist who moved out of the area and she hasn't disappointed. She turned my brassy locks into the more natural looking blond tresses I'd been wanting. It's evident that she really enjoys the coloring process from carefully listening to what her clients want to figuring out what the right dye combos are to achieve the desired effect. Besides being a fantastic colorist and hair stylist Grace is a great person and she's very professional. The prices are reasonable and competitive with other salons in the area. I had an appointment today at 1pm for myself and my 1 year old daughter. I arrived at 1 PM and I saw that there was only two ladies who were doing color. One of the ladies doing hair asked me if I could wait 25 to 30 minutes. I explained to her that that was unnecessary and that I had made an appointment for 1 PM and that they even sent me a text message reminding me. All of the equipment and products are brand new and good quality. The staff will offer you complimentary water and coffee during your visit. As for the styling, I have fine, curly hair that I don't trust just anyone with, but I know I can always rely on Jay for a good, professional visit. I called today for an appointment despite the two horrible reviews posted on Yelp already and I'm glad I did. I was quickly booked with Grace, the owner, for 3pm. While my appointment started a few minutes late due to a previous client, I didn't hold this against her. Things happen and sometimes it's out of their control and they do their best given the circumstances. I've yet to have a hair appointment anywhere start on time anyway. With that said, what I was most concerned with was my haircut. I had planned to have several inches taken off today with a specific style in mind. Not sure how someone else paid 39$ for a women's haircut with long hair. Mine was 49.99 plus 25$ extra fee for long hair, equating to 75$ for a simple trim (2 inches off, no layers or anything) and blow dry. Luckily with the new client special it was around 65$ total. Received a text from Jay that she left HC for here. So I called to schedule a 10 am Friday appointment earlier that Monday afternoon @4 pm. I repeated & confirmed my Friday appointment with the woman who answered the phone. I showed up for my Friday appointment & noticed Jay was just starting to work on a customer. I showed the receptionist/owner the text confirmation for my appt. but it was not showing on their system! Rest assured I was not happy & spoke to Jay about this mess. All they did was ask if I can wait around for another hour or so, or re-schedule for later in the afternoon even though it was their mistake. My regular hair stylist was busy and could not fit me in last minute so I decided to give mint hair gallery a shot. It was not a good experience for me and I will not be returning. I asked for a treatment cut and style. The lady did not style my hair at all she just blow dried it and it was frizzy afterwards. She tried to give me layers when I made it clear I wanted a straight cut. She cut my hair way too short also. I'm not sure if my hair even got treatment because it was frizzy after wards. I spoke to my regular hair stylist and made an appointment to get my hair fixed by hair since the cut I got from here was uneven, and the treatment was not good. I wish I would have had grace do my hair because whoever did mine clearly did not care. read more
