Tiffany and Karen took over my event six weeks before the wedding. In that time, they reviewed plans with me, encouraged me and communicated in great detail with myself and vendors. Very disappointed with my experience at this venue in Calumet Park. After my event, I was told my…read moredeposit wouldn't be returned due to "shoe prints on the walls." I asked for photo proof--none was provided. My family and I cleaned thoroughly, and no one noticed any such issue. I even offered to meet at the venue to inspect the space, and that was ignored. The owner also mentioned police presence outside due to teens waiting on rides--calling it "loitering"--but even stated a fine was avoided. That shouldn't be tied to my deposit at all. When the police weren't actually called to the venue itself. The reason for withholding it, according to their own message, was just the alleged footprints, which they refused to prove. I reviewed the contract and followed all cleaning policies. This feels like a poor excuse to keep my deposit without cause. Renters, protect yourselves--take photos before and after, get everything in writing, and be cautious with this space.
