I came in today with themes of ideas hoping that this business can help showcase some ideas of the elements that I present. I thought that is a fair request being this is their claimed speciality. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. I would not come back and I would not recommend for those still building the vision of your event.

Not only is the setting beautiful, but we could tell from the beginning that our occasion mattered to Silver Lake staff. For something as meaningful as a wedding, you want to feel special. We felt supported and in good hands; that feeling was consistent throughout the planning process as I planned our wedding (without planner) and had many questions to ask Janene along the way. Amy was super hands-on for the day-of, making sure things went according to plan. She even made our rehearsal fun. Well I found Kidsmania and am so glad I did! Online booking and upfront pricing/ easy to use website was extremely helpful, and from there Izabela was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She offered multiple add-ons that were super fun, and we chose the Art Party + cotton candy machine. Izabela hand- drew beautiful animations that went with our theme on canvases for the kids (and also added two more kids only 24 hours prior to the party as well!). Everything inside was clean and decorated beautifully (I do not know of a single other kid's party location where decor is included in the pricing, which truly made a huge difference for us!). If you are wondering if their play area seems a little too young for older toddlers, I can say with confidence that the 12 kids we had there, aging 4-8 years, all had a blast and never ran out of things to do. An update to my prior review they apparently remove negative reviews on The Knot by abusing the…read moredispute function Completely unprofessional Prior Review: A major disappointment. We contracted them for two months of design work ahead of the date and received nothing for the first month. We prodded them through their frustrating website (the only means of communication since we never got any sort of direct email address) and when we did finally receive a mood board it was 6-8 images of items that were all clearly pulled from a single search on their preferred vendor website. We ended up doing all the decor planning and transportation ourselves so this was a complete waste. We only met our day-of coordinator a week or so ahead of the day and while Emily was professional and courteous Gina basically missed the whole meeting on the phone with someone else as we could hear through the video call. In the end bc we had done all the planning and transport ourselves and our venue coordinator had done all the logistics work with our vendors there wasn't much to do on the day. We found out later through social media they're contracting 3 or more weddings per weekend so if you want any sort of personal attention, look elsewhere. They're clearly optimizing for quantity over quality.

We planned and payed for our whole wedding ourselves and with Gina's help as our day of coordinator, our day was better than we ever could have imagined. Everything that Gina and her associate did to set up was absolutely stunning and she thought of everything. She was so calm and collected and that was priceless, as it helped keep me grounded. She was detailed oriented and made sure everything was set up to our liking.
