I came in to get one of the most simplest thing, a manicure with gel polish. I really wanted to like this place, but going back 3 times for the same original job, it was pathetic. The first time the gel was too thick and peeling off. The second time day 3 my polish was chipping and the 3rd time, which was the next day, my nails are weak and splitting. This all happened in a span of a week. I had an amazing experience with Mike ! I just moved to North Carolina about a month ago and i was very hesitant finding a nail salon . I live in Fayetteville but it's def worth the drive out to Raeford for this salon . I really loved the ambiance and the decorations . I got the Park Spa Pedi and i really liked everything about it . It came with hot stones and i loved that he put a timer for how long the massage will last because i feel like most people just rush through the massage but he really took his time . Everyone was very nice but when they were shaping and cutting my nails they cut my skin several times even after I mentioned it was hurting me. They tried to get me to use a more sheer pink on my nails and I let them try but when after the first nail when I said I'd actually like my manicure and pedicure to match he just painted over the color that was already placed leaving it with a discoloration that he never fixed. It was a very sloppy manicure with gaps in color between my nail and cuticle and many spots where he put polish on my skin at the edges of my nail and never cleaned it up. TK did an amazing job! Newest nail tech from Texas. I've never felt more cared about by a nail tech before. She listened to what I wanted and aimed for perfection! Never have I been more satisfied with my nails before. They are short staffed right now but it is WELL worth the wait. By far THE best nail salon in Fayetteville. We will definitely be back! If I could give this place negative stars I would! First, the woman who did my nails was very rude. She wanted me to get tips and I refused. Several times. Then She got an attitude and told me how ugly my nails were. This picture is of a gel manicure not even 24 hours after I got them done. I don't do any manual labor so there's no reason for them to look like this. I've had numerous gel manicures that hold up for 3-4 weeks. On top of how terrible they are, the woman charged me for a French manicure instead of the regular gel polish manicure. Normally, I would go back and have them repaired or at least give the business a chance to correct it. However, while I was getting my nails done another woman came in to do just that, and it did not go well. The man in the store was extremely rude and condescending to the woman who just asked them to correct what they had messed up. It ended with him getting snappy and yelling about how she needed to stop arguing with him. I was so appalled by how it transpired I wanted to leave, but was only halfway through my manicure. Went to the salon the other day....I should have been concerned that I was the ONLY customer in there in the middle of the day....now before I say anything, I am not a picky person, I understand people are human, etc. I have been to SEVERAL salons and I have been to nail salons with CHEAPER pricing and get better results. I walked into this salon, EVERYONE glued to their phones like they don't work there, wasn't greeted, had to greet myself, I asked for a pedicure and he pointed to pick my color, which is fine. I finally found my color I walk to the bath and I paid for a $28 dollar pedicure thinking it would be a good one...I was wrong, the woman scrubbed my feet SO HARD, I thought maybe I was just being a baby about it but NO, when I got home I had actual cuts buy my pinky toe on my right foot and thin scratches all on the tops of my feet, not to mention my nail polish and top coat was EVERYWHERE, it's like they were rushing so they could get back on their phones. I sat under the dryer for the second time and all of a sudden they start cleaning, WHICH IS FINE, but they were doing extreme maintenance work that shouldn't have been done when a customer is present because the look of the mold and mildew they were cleaning up was disgusting and the fumes from the chemicals they were using was so strong I didn't even care about my nails I just had to get out of there. Worst Salon Ever, only giving it one star because their store was clean and good standing, you just shouldn't do mold and mildew maintenance while someone who is paying is present, it's gross and smells. On Thursday, I got my nails done for my wedding to follow. I went in around 6:30 and asked for an acrylic full set with French tips. The man doing my nails was nice enough, but he did some of the tips a little unevenly. When he was finishing up, he talked me into getting gel on top of my acrylic instead of the regular polish because "it lasts a lot longer." I told him that was fine. My friend got gel shellac and they turned out beautifully. A different woman did her nails. My friend ended up paying $78 for both of us. Later, at my Bachelorette party, I pointed out that there seemed to be bubbles under the gel and that there was some peeling at the cuticles of my thumbs. That was only 4 hours later. Yesterday, one of the tips completely broke off and the cuticles of all of my nails are chipped. I am highly unsatisfied and will never return. read more

First of all, I have been a customer of this establishment for 15 years, and they have always done an exceptional job; however, they have changed management and have a lot of new employees in the shop now. I am highly disappointed in their service and the manager's disrespectful attitude. My husband and I received service from what we believe were first-time technicians. I received a white tip full set and pedicure by Tony, and my husband got a pedicure by a young lady that I do not know her name. My white tip full set was sloppy with many cracks, and when I said something about how Tony was doing my full set, he said that everyone does it differently. I asked that he round the tips, but when he did one of my fingers, it did not look right and I told him never mind, just leave it square. He caught an attitude and proceeded to fix the one that he had rounded. He did a rush job on my pedicure and messed up the polish. The person that did my husband's feet did not rub his legs or scrap the bottom of his feet thoroughly. Yesterday one of my nails fell out after three days. I have never had that happen EVER. I went in today to ask the manager to fix the broken one free of charge, and she asked who did my nails; when I told her Tony, she said Tony didn't work this week. The manager kept arguing with me and was very rude. My husband brought to my attention that today is Sunday which is a new week. It doesn't matter; nails should not fall off after three days from typing, washing dishes, and cooking. I wasn't going to write a review. My husband and I were just going to stop coming to Elegant Nails, but after the nasty, disrespectful, and rude demeanor of the manager, I decided to write the review so that others were aware of the poor customer service. I had the misfortune of quite a few of those before I found this place.I judge nail shops on a few things, but primarily, variation of services offered, cleanliness, product variety (color, gel, etc.) and language barrier. This place passed with flying colors. I've had a few services done and everything has been spot on. The pedicures are luxurious and relaxing and include a few services that other places charge extra for. Full sets, shellac nails, 3D designs, and nail designs are all available at varying price points, with a basic acrylic full set starting at 25. Most of the employees speak fluent English which makes it easier to get exactly what you want. I've brought a few people with me to this location and they've all loved it! PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE CHOOSING THIS SALON!!!! First off, I don't even want to give 1 star to this nail salon. I wish I can give it a negative. Our experience at this salon was a nightmare! On Friday, June 3rd, 2016, my girlfriends and I went to get our nails done here. I should have read the reviews, but since it was next to my son's Tae Kwon Do studio, we decided to try this Elegant Nails Salon for the first time. Anyway, the lady that serviced me was so nice and did such an amazing job. Although the guy that did my friend's pedi and mani, cut corners and did not do certain things. Such as scrubbing her heel and not using the grater. My friend asked why I was getting one and not her, and his reply was, "You no need it, you feet so smooth". So we said, "Ok, if you say so". Not only was my friend's nail guy rough and hurting her, he was doing things half ass. For instance, he did not clean under her nails, and painted over old nail polish. His polish job was streaky and put about 4 layers of gel nail polish and did really sloppy work. Despite all this, we paid them our expensive bill, and even tipped. When we got to my house, my friend noticed one of her nails chipping already. Mind you, this is gel nails. Which means this should have last 2 weeks and not one hour!!! She questioned her feet too. She wondered why she did not need her heels grated. When she looked at her heel she noticed the cracks and ashiness. Now that it is dry and not in the water, you can see that she did need a good grate on her heel. She immediately called the salon and explained what happened. They told her to come back the following day. We were unable to come the following day because we have children so it's not that easy for us to just be able to go to the nail salon. Although my friend called and told them we will come on Sunday. I am glad that happened because by then, 3 of my fingers had chipped nail polish and eventually just peeled off! Even when I do my own nails, it at least lasts a week!! The thing is, we were all off that weekend. Which meant we did nothing to chip our nail polish. Especially if its gel. Anyway, here comes the worse part. So we come back on Sunday, and ask for a manager. They told us there was no manager available. So we asked when she will return, and they would not give an answer. We showed them all our chipped nail polish and my friend's heel, and the guy that serviced her, denied all of it. We tried to explain our situation, instead of understanding, they ridiculed us, and spoke their language amongst themselves. So, we were starting to get mad and frustrated because they would not give my friend a new pedi and new mani that she deserved. So, we asked for our money back so we can go to another salon, and they refused to do so. It was so bad. The guy that did my friend's nails was so rude and disrespectful. We said we would call the cops if they couldn't find a compromise, and the guy that did my friend's nails said, "I don't care, go ahead!". One of the customers there said we didn't need to go this far, and that the employee should just go in the back to cool off. Instead, he sat there continuing to taunt and antagonize the situation. Although 2 employees tried to help, they also refused to fix the problem and only offered to fix the nails that were chipped, even though my friend was telling them all the steps that guy missed, and should just get the right service. So, one of the guys started to soak my friend's nails in acetone and foil to strip the gel polish, and my friend asked him if she can have the glove with collagen that comes with the mani (like I received), and he said no, that only comes with the regular mani price, even though she paid an extra $10 for gels on top of the mani price! Does that make any sense? Shouldn't the collagen glove be included? So, that was another argument. So, my frustrated friend just begged for her refund, and told her they cannot refund. She said, "If I can't get the service I paid for, then I want a refund so we can go somewhere else!!!". Instead of finding another compromise, the guy said he was stopping the service and the guy that messed up should finish the job. My friend refused to get done by the other guy again because he was rough and rude, and wanted someone else. He left the acetone and foil on!!! By this time, we had no more options, but to call the cops for a mediator. We called and they will now be investigated. I am posting this review hoping other people read this and not risk this horrible experience like we did. You think a business would want new costumers and not give such a horrible impression. We Will never ever come back. I am telling everyone I know, not to ever come and try this place out. Horrible customer service!!! This one particular employee there was awful at doing nails!!! He would not give his name, but he is short, chubby, light skinned Vietnamese guy with glasses, and wore a man bun that day. read more

The biggest scam in a nail salon is to say gel powder is gel. There is no such thing as gel powder. It is actually acrylic.. Gel only comes in liquid form . I was scammed here & charged outrageously for gel nails when i got acrylic which was confirmed by malenia salon. This place is nice on the inside, but I took my two daughters in to get mani and pedis and they sat us in the chair for pedicures, put our feet in water right away, only to have us sitting there for 30mins. I frequent this location at least once every two weeks. I live in a neighborhood relatively close within walking distance of its location so it's convenient. I've always been treated with superb customer service. I have a few favorites I will sit and wait for particularly the owner (can't ever remember his name) he does the best on my acrylic nails and takes his time. I like the cleanliness of the location, the reasonable prices and the al la carte pedicure options. You ever had a jello pedicure with paraffin wax and hot stones? I hadn't before I came here. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because I wish they would add disposable elastic liners to their pedicure tubs. That would make the cleanliness 100% up to par. *WARNING* Please go to a different nail salon if you want a quality mani/pedi. My girlfriends and I went in for services with good expectations because the location is nice and new looking, but boy don't let that fool you. So my friend got a mani/pedi and the guy doing her service left out thing's that come with what you pay for. He had good believable reasons why he didn't do certain thing's which now we know he's just a scammer. She got a gel mani set and within the hour of leaving the salon her nails started chipping and bubbling. We went back to get a refund, but they only offered to fix their mess. This short stocky light skin Vietnamese guy wearing glasses was absolutely horrible turning a bad situation into a nightmare. He yelled at at us as if HE was the one who paid 60 bucks for crappy services and he clearly didn't care that we were upset because of his service. Horrible horrible horrible customer service!
