A central location for a great hotel! Im really glad I chose this place. A definite great place to…read morestay when you are looking in the Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, San Jose area. This place has been totally revamped since the new owners took this over. The old ratings and some of the other ratings that are on this hotel are totally incorrect based on what I experienced while here. I honestly think that some of the Yelp users chose the wrong hotel. I noticed when I searched for Townplace in Campbell, the Saratoga one popped up at the top and had I not clicked on that and saw that this was not the Campbell location, I would have reviewed the wrong place. Hopefully they can verify and fix the reviews. Anyways, kudos to the owners and managers for such a wonderful remodel and such a pleasant stay. The staff are welcome upon entering the hotel. This is a great place to stay either short term or for long term stays (I love mingling and asking questions and I was told that there are some that have lived here for months and even a few for years after selling their home). This place works with insurance companies for temp housing and I even noticed some local celebs walking in the hall. This Towneplace Suites is awesome and I am glad I visited. The owners really brought this hotel to the potential of where it should be. The hotel went through a complete renovation project that was finished in mid/late 2024. The hotel has so many amenities including breakfast, an activities area, a patio with BBQ that you can use, a washer/dryer room and a well equipped gym. They do allow pets for a fee as well. The rooms are of good size, each remodeled to a modern design. The lighting is decent but with the window, it adds enough light in the room where you don't necessarily need to use the lamps during the day. Each bathroom comes with Container Store organizers to make unpacking easy. The kitchenettes are fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, etc. and if you need any appliances that are not there, you can ask the front desk to borrow them, including cookbooks! If you're bored, go borrower some board games and keep the kids busy. Or just sit and watch TV while sitting on the couch (which by the way converts to a sleeper). I saw that they offer studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom suites. Townsuites is very strict as to what is offered at the hotel so you get a great variety of choices during your stay. There are several types of milk (regular, 2%, oat milk, half/half, etc), multiple cereal brands, various hot breakfast items, and even a variety of toppings for the oatmeal. The little mart at the front desk has goodies to purchase that range from frozen dinners, water bottles, Pepsi, Starry and Mountain Dew sodas, candies, Lay's chips, and even Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins ice cream! There are state of the art water filtration stations where you can fill your own bottles, throughout the hotel. The hotel is located down the street from Downtown Campbell, which is filled with upbeat and trendy restaurants and located near The Pruneyard where you can do some shopping, eat and watch movies. Or go for a nice stroll on the Los Gatos Trail along the creek or take the kids to the kiddie park just a quick 2minute walk. Downtown San Jose and the upscale Santana Row is not too far either. If your not a local, these are the places you want to visit! I highly recommend staying here. I think you will be very happy based on my recommendation.

The inn was good for the one night we stayed. I felt the lobby and bedding was outdated; but given…read moreit's an inn, i had a satisfactory stay. Some issues were: the chair in our room's back fell apart when my friend leaned back....some furniture was missing knobs...paint job was ok...the bed had a crumbling sound when slept on, the brochures in the lobby was from 2020...it is now 2023...the shampoo and body wash was really "weak," the bathroom vent was extremely loud, but everything else worked fine. And the room had a strong smell of chlorine. Pros: heater and ac in the room worked great, mini fridge as a mini freezer compartment, the blossom trees were in full bloom when we arrived (mid Feb) and it was beautiful. The pool is heated and relatively clean; the hot tub was nice and both the pool and hot tub had no visitors, so we really enjoyed the time there. The pool and tub opens from 8AM -10PM. Breakfast is available from 7-9 AM. Get the breakfast through the window in the pool area. During our stay we had American sausages, scrambled eggs, home fried potatoes, blue berry muffin and a choice or yogurt, orange juice, apple juice, coffee or tea. Hot sauce and salt and pepper available if requested.

The check in process was terribly slow - two people behind the desk, one on the phone in an endless conversation about booking a room, while the other did nothing. Actual customers with a reservation are standing in front of your desk and you don't even acknowledge them? When asked for a bottle of water for the room, they directed us to a vending machine where we could purchase one. Can't even supply a bottle of Costco water? The room was noisy with construction workers and their equipment taking up parking spaces, rising early and making lots of noise with the equipment. Our advice: NEVER stay here!

So if you want the experience of almost knocking into the toilet as you enter the bathroom sliding then this hotel is for you!! Took a shower and the pressure is at a slow "sprinkle." Usually at hotels I will then adjust the shower head with a turn or flip there to make it come out with more force. No can do in this apparatus...that is the ONLY setting! My 10 minute shower turned into 25 minutes as I tried to get the shampoo and conditioner out of my long hair. As I was drying my hair more suds appeared....grrrrrrr! So back in U went for another 10 minutes wishing that my head could fit under the sink faucet as the pressure was a little better there or a shower tub combo. Why do hotel owners think that installing these crappy shower heads will save them water when guests end up using more? This also got me realizing that housekeeping cannot fully clean the shower as the pressure is so low to wash it down and inot enough water being used to wash the towels in their laundry room....yikes!!!‍ Only saving grace is that the hotel bill is being paid by the company AMEX and not my pocket because I'd be The only saving

No scuff marks to be found anywhere. Everything that you just sort of tolerate at most hotels is just so much better at a new hotel. I've never stayed at a TownePlace Suites before so I've got nothing to compare to. My room did seem a bit on the small side though the layout was thoughtful and the built in couch was a nice touch. The room has plenty of light and a good sized desk if you need to work. My room's window was unfortunately immediately next to the glass walled hallway, which created some window privacy problems (even using the filtered shades) until I just gave up and dropped the second set of roller blinds, which then blocked out all the natural light. :( Based on the building diagram, I'd guess that slightly less than half of the rooms face into the enclosed interior courtyard, which was very quiet but which might create other privacy weirdness from neighbors across the way. You may want to request an outside or inside-facing room at check-in based on your preferences. Secured parking runs $30 a night but seemed plentiful. It seemed a very fair price for a city hotel and well worth the peace of mind and convenience. I did see a few guests parking on the street. No thanks. The only real down side of my stay was the wall unit-style ac, which was a bit fussy and switched off until the room was a bit warm and would then turn on and blast arctic air and freeze the space. Bed linens were thankfully multi-layered so I was eventually able to figure out how to get to the right temp for sleep. Overall, I liked the hotel. I'm not sure how much it actually costs to stay here but TownePlace is a very good alternative to the big downtown hotels a half mile to the east as long as you've got a car.
