I really enjoyed my stay at Element San Jose and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel near San Jose Airport, Roku, Earthquakes games (nextdoor), or the greater San Jose area. Element is a newer concept by Westin. The hotel is clean, quiet, bright, and safe (security guard on duty overnight, key required for elevator access). My room was comfortable with wood floors and a small carpeted area. It had a full kitchenette, and a little seating area, great for anyone needing an extended stay option. Breakfast was included in my rate. It's available in the lobby and it's better than most mid-level hotel breakfasts! There's a cook making eggs to order (no chafing dish of questionable eggs here!), a bagel/toast section, a yogurt bar, and a self-serve coffee/latte machine. Coffee machine. The hotel boasts a guest laundry room and a fitness center. My only minor issue was that water pressure in my guest room was low. Not an issue for my one-night stay, but would have been challenging if I needed to wash my hair. Another reviewer mentioned good water pressure, so hopefully the issue was unique to my room. This was definitely a pleasant hotel stay, and I'll stay again if/when flying in/out of San Jose. read more

Stayed here twice for a total of 7 days combined -- in 2024 and 2025. Would def stay again. Would recommend for families and business travelers. AIRPORT NOISE: Quiet hotel--never heard or notice the airplanes even though we're near the airport. ROOM: lovely bathroom...even down to the detail of water drops on the drain making a nice noise. Great lighting options throughout the room. Kitchen has a generous fridge and good dishwasher. Very nice layout with even 4 people staying in a room. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Wonderful customer service as usual. The breakfast staff is super attentive and really elevates the breakfast service experience. Really impressive. FOOD: The bar food is consistently very good. Would recommend the wings--moist and crispy. Cesar salad was very good as well. We stayed here for one night during President's Day weekend. It was super quiet. I was worried about it being so close to the airport but honestly you can't even hear the planes at all. I was super impressed with how clean and new everything was. The mini kitchen has all the amenities you could need, minus maybe a toaster oven. The fridge is a really good size to stock enough food for a week. I love that you have a stovetop with pots and pans to use. There are even containers to store your leftovers. The bed was also surprisingly comfortable. I loved their pillows! I was worried about the noise level but we stayed on the second floor #202 and it was super quiet. They also have a good size heated outdoor pool and hot tub with a pretty spacious fitness center! Free breakfast was also included and the bacon cheese scramble is a must!! I also really appreciated the DIY yogurt station. The only thing to complain about is the $18 parking fee which is really steep. We stayed here January 30th thru February 1st. The hotel was standard. Our headboard looked like it had been stabbed but it's fine. The rest of the room was very cozy and clean. We were on the second floor and it was pretty quiet. Parking was easy, and so was checking out. Liked the safety feature of the elevator (need key to activate it). My only genuine complaint has to do with the front desk. We came off of a seven hour drive and were exhausted. The person at the front was so rude. He talked to us like we were dumb. He asked if we had stayed in the hotel before, we responded we hadn't. Then he asked where we parked; we had just pulled in to a spot in front of the building so we could check in. He then rolled his eyes and explained to us that the parking in front was for another building and to move. How would we have known that... we just said it was our first time. For an airport hotel, this place is great. The amenities are fantastic, with each room having a small kitchen equipped with pots, pans, and dishes. The food in the lobby was also incredible. I had a fresh harvest salad, a glass of champagne, and a charcuterie board, which truly made my night. The staff was kinda and efficienet. Had an overnight stay here for work since it was close by. Hotels near airports usually have a bad rap but Element San Jose. Check-in was smooth. I had a request for them and they were able to accommodate it. The weekend I stayed here they were pretty bust given there was big 49er game. I got to my room and I was very surprised at how nice it was. It was very spacious and clean. I booked a standard room and all in all I paid $257.00 for the whole night and that included the $18 overnight parking. My room had its normal amenities and it included a nice bar. The bed was very comfortable. FREE BREAKFAST is included with your reservation and I must say they have a really nice breakfast area. They also have a restaurant in the hotel that closes at 10PM I believe. It was also nice that they have security on premises. One thing I wish I knew though was if you're staying overnight but not parking until after midnight you dont have to pay for a parking fee. I didn't return back until 2 AM from work so me paying a parking fee was honestly a waste. All in all, I will definitely return here. It was definitely a good stay. read more

This hotel was right next to my office in San Jose which was super convenient. It still smells really new inside. The room is like a suite style that has a kitchen, living room and a bedroom. My room was on the 5th floor which was the top floor. There's not much view but mine was facing the pool. It's really clean and everything is environment friendly. There's free breakfast and the two times I've eaten there, they had the same breakfast special at the grill which was the avocado toast. First time at this location and a bit mixed feeling, but overall, the stay was fair and comfortable. As a Marriott member, I typically get acknowledged for my status and provided with complimentary upgrades (upon subject to availability). This time around it wasn't the case as we didn't realize our stay was the same day as the home opener for San Jose Earthquakes. The location was pretty busy, but full of life, fun, throughout the hotel and around. This hotel is walking distance next to PayPal Park. With a game on the same day, it created a lot of miscommunication and misinformation in regard to parking. Between the hotel staff and security, we were told one thing, allowed to park here, can park here after this hour, but upon arrival we were told otherwise. It was challenging since the communication was not clear and a little frustrating. Note, that parking is $18/night. Our room was on the 5th (highest) floor. The room was comfortable and comes equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, and other small amenities. The room was clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. However, the walls are thin. We could hear neighbors playing loud music and whatever is going down in the hallways. In addition, keep in mind that the stadium is VERY LOUD since it is right next to one another. If you do not enjoy loud rumbling and crowd noise, then best to avoid on game days. The breakfast buffet (Weekends from 7:00AM to 10:00AM) is included for all guests! A great amenity and something to always enjoy for a free meal. Unfortunately, the breakfast options were lackluster. There was juice, fruit, cereal, variety of pastries (individually wrapped), bread, bagels, plus egg frittata and French toast for hot meal. The egg frittata was more like an egg mixture shaped in a muffin tin as it contained no cheese, meat, or vegetables. We wish there were more variety of hot foods like bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. and I could see everyone was saying the same thing upon arrival. A big plus was the customized yogurt parfait station. I have not seen that before in any other hotel and a nice surprise. I also enjoyed the sanitation and attentiveness with the staff! Just stayed at Element San Jose Airport this weekend and really enjoyed our stay! My family and I had tickets to the San Jose Earthquakes game and this hotel is right across Paypal Park. It was a no-brainer to stay here and I will continue to stay at this hotel when my family and I get tickets to the game versus staying SJ downtown. Parking is $18/night but well worth it since it's a few minutes walk to /from the stadium. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a Marriott property. Our room overlooked the San Jose Airport and PayPal Park so it was really good for people and plane watching. The room was clean and pretty spacious. It was also very comfortable with a large couch, desk, and 2 large beds. There was a kitchen, complete with a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes and silverware which really came in handy during our stay. It wasn't warm enough for us to use the pool, but we might try and use the pool if we come again over the summer. The lobby has complimentary fruit flavored water and coffee which is nice. The complimentary breakfast was better than I thought - french toast, egg bites, bagels, and a yogurt station. All in all, very happy at Element and will be happy to go back. read more

From the moment we arrived, the front desk service staff has been helpful and attentive. My son accidentally packed a couple of items (favorite pocket knife and an old fashioned razor) which wouldn't allow us to carry on...and just as a long shot I asked the front desk if they have a mailing service. The relaxation theme is very strong & well-executed; scents, textures, & stock create an incredibly calming, upscale apart-home vibe. The units are spacious for 2 or more with tons seating options & tabletop space. I just completed a one-night stay at the Element San Jose Airport and I would return in a heartbeat. This is Westin's version of a Residence Inn, but far more contemporary. This hotel opened in April 2022. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, was no recognition of my Ambassador Elite status in terms of a room upgrade or a credit for a cocktail at the bar or something from their convenience store. When I checked in, the staff member thanked me for my loyalty. I found the staff friendly and helpful. But then I wasn't calling them seeking assistance. Loved the breakfast with Buckwheat Pancakes and fresh fruit, the Mini Frittatas and the Yogurt Parfait Bar. Yum, Yum and Yum! Another benefit is the location. Great if you just landed at SJC, but it's only a $12 Uber to downtown San Jose and very close to the Caltrain station in Santa Clara. If you're into soccer, the San Jose Earthquakes stadium is right next door. A block away is a Starbucks and an In N Out. This hotel checked all the boxes for me! read more

We booked a free night here through my hotels.com rewards points. We went down to San Jose to visit the Enchant event at PayPal Park. We parked out back by the hot tub and walked into the lobby. When I was trying to check in, there was nobody at reception. I stood there awkwardly for a couple minutes when someone came out and greeted me nicely and checked me in. They did inform us about the $18 scam parking fee, which isn't that unusual but still not great. The hotel was nice and clean as we made our way to our room. The room was super clean when we came in and we had a perfect view of the PayPal park across the street. So that was nice for us. The bed was phenomenally comfortable. It's a Simmons made custom for the hotel. I looked at the tag to try to find out what it was. Nice big TV, nice shower, nice kitchenette. We missed the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. We didn't hear the airplanes from our room at all. And if you come to stay at an airport hotel you should be ready for a reasonable amount of noise anyway. We had no noise issues. read more

My husband and I stayed here for one night, we were in San Jose for a concert two miles down at the SAP center. We LOVED this hotel, check in was a breeze, the hotel was super clean, simple and perfect. The lighting in the bathroom was really nice, the little kitchenette was a really nice addition to a standard room, the cabinets had dishes, utensils, wine bottle opener, everything you can think of. The closet was a really nice size. The bed, super comfy. We wanted to extend our stay but decided we would just come back another weekend. The hotel pool area is super nice, just all around this was a great hotel, I would say this was the nicest hotel at this price range we have stayed at. HUGE bonus points was the FREE breakfast, they had a yogurt bar, egg frittatas, French toast, fresh fruit, they have a nice automatic specialty coffee maker that makes mochas, cappuccinos etc.. Black out shades were a plus!!! They served real cooked to order eggs in the mornings. They have filtered water in each room so no need to buy $5 bottles like other places. Rooms have a list next to the phone of all the info you need so no need to call to find out breakfast hours etc. Mauricee and Tatiana at breakfast cleared plates and were attentive ....they didn't just let them sit like I've seen at other places. Utilized pretty much all the amenities--the pool (wish it was heated), jacuzzi and fitness center that's open 24/7. I also love the healthy selection of their continental breakfast buffet. There was a sofa and desk in our room as well. The beds were clean and comfortable. There drawback for me personally was that the room's thermostat did not go below 68. Very up to date, clean hotel. Overall, this has been my go-to hotel when visiting Santa Clara/San Jose. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast bar is always good, with options for most. Outside area is a nice place to relax after your work day. Yes, it is somewhat near a train track but I didn't hear them at all. Parking is easy to find, just don't park in the Roku spots. If you're visiting for Roku, it's right next to it so you could probably skip the car rental since you'll walk over. If you get one of the rooms facing the tracks, you can watch sunset with the large windows. Chipotle, Five Guys, and In n Out are about a block or two away. They have a gym in the hotel, but I favor the one in the same plaza by the restaurants. I forgot what the name of the gym is called, but I know that if you're a LA Fitness member, they should honor your membership(double check with them). I was curious to try this hotel after I saw it being built. I walked in and talked to the hotel manager about the rooms and she was very friendly. I told her what I liked about my room and she accommodated me appropriately. She even upgraded me and gave me the best view that I could have, I had the corner room on the top floor and I had a nice view of the airport. The room has three big windows, which is great. The room itself was very well done and clean, I love the artwork the beds are comfortable and the kitchenette is a nice touch that even includes a stove and pans and pots in the drawers, you even get a decent size refrigerator. I'm only here for two nights and I can't wait to try the breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place and because of the nice staff I will stay here again. read more

(Stayed here for a week on a business trip) Very nice hotel! Very accommodating with full kitchen and all appliances. Very clean. The room was great! I have a few small and very minor critiques that may be personal opinion. While I love the walk-in shower, I don't see the point of having one when the water pressure doesn't even reach the length of the shower. Like why? Seems pointless to have a fancy walk-in shower just to install a shower head with barely a trickle of water pressure. In my opinion I would much rather have a bathroom greatly reduced in size and elegance that has a shower head with pressure than one without, but that's me. Another thing is the room temperature. I tend to be more comfortable being on the colder side than warmer side, and I simply could not get the room cool enough to my liking. It would have been nice to have the option of opening the window or a ceiling fan. And the breakfast. Very nice spread of various breakfast items, coffee, tea, juices, etc. Different choices offered daily from omelets, crepes, etc. All of which was very tasty, loved it! I can only eat so many eggs and muffins though, catch my drift? Very pleasant stay. read more
