There are certainly fancier, higher priced places around town, but the laid-back, easy vibe here suited me perfectly. The people are nice and Kari was able to accommodate me when my usual place was booked out for weeks. We chatted briefly about my cut ("just a trim") and she took her time to make it look just right -- plus the price was very reasonable. A nice bonus was a sleeping puppy at my feet and free candy! I'll definitely be back.

She put on 25 volume and left it on me for a very, very long time (long enough to wash, cut, and blow dry another client she had in at the same time). When she finally washed me out, she said she needed to do a toner on it to tone it down. It actually took 2 toners (which I had to pay for each, of course). The end result is that my roots are MUCH blonder than the rest of my hair and the two toner applications appeared to have done nothing (or, at least, I wonder how bad it looked before!). Plus, the level of blond is nearly toe-head, which really looks awful on me and is not at all what I wanted. I just wanted my roots brought up to the rest of my hair. I am now debating going somewhere else for corrective color, but I am worried that my hair will just break. It is starting to break already. I look like crap!

I asked for a balayage with natural dirty blonde highlights and she did thick, chunky, messy highlights that are not the same on either side of my head. The color is like very very light yellow and my hair is very damaged and thin and sticky. She offered to have me come in and have it toned but I'd have to be crazy to let her touch my hair again.
