The reception office was a bit "iffy". The reception I received was cordial, but lacked a genuine warm welcome. I was asked if I was a new patient, which I was. She gave me a clipboard with forms to complete with no instructions. Guess she figured as old as I am, I should know. When called to the back, procedures went like clockwork. Each person was delightful and obviously well trained. I was impressed with the Dental Hygienist, Stacy Gaylord, her warmth, and ability to put me at ease while advising me that I have been doing a good job taking care of my teeth at home. The Dentist introduced herself to me as Dr Gillum. While reviewing my x-rays, she made comments such as the number of old metal fillings. She tapped on a row of upper teeth that have been sensitive, showed me the x-ray and indicated that the roots of those teeth are making contact with a nerve in the sinus area. She found no need for any procedures at this time, thanked me for coming in and nice to meet me. When I complained about my teeth, I was informed of their Orthodontist. I was very pleased. The appointment concluded with with the presentation of the "goody bag" with toothbrush for sensitive teeth, sample size of Crest, and dental floss!! Great appointment! read more

Great service, great prices. I lost my insurance last year and decided to try the Priority Dental plan available at Element Dental. It was only $77 for a year for me sign up and get my discount card. It enabled me to go in today and get an X-Ray, check-up AND cleaning for only $69. That's about what I was paying WITH the insurance I used to have. The hygienist there is awesome and super helpful. She always goes above and beyond to give me personal advice about what specific things I might try, to improve my oral health. Today was my first time meeting the new dentist, Dr. Gaona. And she was actually super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, I definitely recommend this place to anyone in Lufkin looking for a dentist, with or without insurance. What ever is wrong with your teeth, they can fix it. They make sure to come up with a dental plan that works for you and they can spread it out over a period of time. They don't offer payment plans, but with their low rates, you really don't need one. read more

Dr. Gillum is by far the most unprofessional dentist I've ever met, lacks any compassion. She did a bad job on a restoration job for me, 9 crowns I believe. Nothing about the job was right and they looked awful. She agreed to fix it and the woman deliberately did an even worse job that I will now have to pay someone else to fix. Didn't even follow basic standard of care, at least not the ones in place by the Texas dental board and then went against standards of care fired me as a patient with no warning basically in the middle of a procedure which she CANNOT do legally in the state of Texas among many other things that were done. Something is very wrong with this dentist, I've never had a doctor or dentist retaliate because they got mad and that's basically what she did. I ended up in the hospital with a pretty serious infection due to her negligence in my care. I would spend my money with a more trust worthy, honest and reputable dentist. She and her cohort mexican racist hate white people, her assistants almost choked me to death with a piece of plastic,or some kind of molding,i almost breathed it in to my lungs. Tiffani Gillum broke a tooth in half and said i didn't need that tooth anyway. Plus she said she did a root canal and it still hurts. They are racist her and her mexican pals and very mean. I also heard she was to order false teeth for an elderly white man she never did. Horrible Dentist. Also she pulled and elderly white womans teeth, and the elderly woman got the run around about her false teeth. Also they never gave her pain meds;after getting all her teeth pulled. They are a hateful racist dental group. They hate white people. Especially white men. Even the white women there hate their own white men. You can feel the tension with them. The first time someone hurts me not by accident but because they turn away while there is a hook still on my tooth, that's it. I don't mind the dentist but I am glad I went ahead of my husband because he would have got up cussing and left. My kids have been going there for years but I may move them to the new place that I will be going. Husband and wife setting that don't try and get as many patients in as possible in one day. Element can not keep a dentist more than a few months so I will take my kiddos somewhere family oriented. read more

Appointment was at 430 pm with in 5 min we was getting X-rays. Staff was fast and friendly. The lady that cleans the teeth was on point and even remembered us from the last time. At the end we seen the dentist and she complimented my son on how pretty his teeth are and how he had good brushing skills. We have been coming here since my son was 3 he is now 9 we love this place. Son was a little disappointed at the end because he was looking for the treasure chest. They apologized and promised they will have a new one soon. read more

I had a wonderful experience here today! All of the employees were extremely nice and informative. They do great work in a timely fashion. I was able to get all my work done in one day, which is a GREAT thing for this busy mom! This included a cleaning, exam, X-rays, multiple fillings, and a root canal!
