I was really hoping for this to be a great experience, but it was extremely disappointing. I had…read morejust ended a 2-day conference where I was on my feet all day in heels and sorely needed a foot massage. I called this place and they were ready to take me in 15 minutes. when I arrived, they asked for payment upfront. this is highly unusual and nowhere else that offers any kind of service (spa, salon, etc.) takes payment upfront. this should've been my first clue that clients often dispute the charges, so this is why they take it before the service. when i entered the massage area, I realized that you dont get your own room, and your massage bed is not partitioned, so its. shared room with about 10 beds. what ended up happening is that the guy next to me fell asleep and snored very loudly the ENTIRE time of my massage. obviously this prevents any sort of relaxation. so, effectively my massage was ruined. I could not ignore it and it was so so annoying to have to listen to. as far as my masseuse, there were a couple issues there too. first, the entire time he focused on the center section of my foot, he did not touch the toes or the heel. this place advertises itself as reflexology, and the toes are a major part of that. so that was extremely disappointing and I could've really used that part of the foot massage. if youre going to have a one-hour massage focused only on the feet, you have to do the ENTIRE foot, I felt like this is just obvious. however, I couldn't communicate with him at all as he doesnt speak english. second, he used SO much lotion, my feet felt like they were swimming in a swamp during the entire massage. it was horrible, and he couldnt get any real traction because of the insane amount of lotion. finally, at the end I tipped him about 13%, because I felt like he tried his best, however the overall environment there, plus his skills, was lacking. as we walked out, he walked through the door into the lobby and let it close in front of my face rather than holding it open for me. when I entered the lobby, the receptionist asked me how the service was. I told him about the snoring. he did not apologize, but instead said he could discount my service but could I please tip the masseuse more, since that wasn't his fault. then I explained the issue with the masseuse. he sad he would talk to him about it, and didn't end up discounting my service. this is the first time EVER in my entire life i have had someone ask me to tip more. not at any restaurant, bar, salon, spa, etc. has anyone ever said that, because it's common social etiquette that you NEVER ask for more tip, ESPECIALLY when you're told that there's a problem with the experience and/or service. this blew my mind that the masseuse ran to the receptionist right away to complain about his tip. and still no one apologized to me! needless to say, I will never come back!!

We made an appointment a couple of days before and waited about 10 mins after our appointment. I got the 30 minutes customized massage for only my neck and shoulders. Leo was great and was able to ease the tension on my neck and shoulders. It did hurt, but he was very careful and kept asking if the pressure was ok. My husband got the 60 minute foot massage and he really enjoyed it as well. It was a good price for the massages, everyone was professional, and we are definitely coming back... soon!

They have an open area where…read moremultiple people are getting massages, but they also have private sections with curtains dividing each space. They do have a sound machine playing waves in the background, which helps gently block out some of the surrounding noise. If you're someone who gets easily distracted, I can see how it might be harder to fully get into that relaxing zen if someone starts chatting or snoring (). This actually happened during my last visit, and it took everything in me not to start laughing. The few times I've been here, the massage therapists have been pretty considerate and always check in to make sure the pressure is comfortable. During my last visit, I felt like some areas were a little rough, but I always recommend advocating for yourself and letting them know if you need them to adjust the pressure. My only real issue with this last visit was that my 90-minute massage ended about 5 minutes early, which was a bummer. My friend, who went with me and booked the same massage, also finished before I did, so it was a little confusing and something I didn't particularly appreciate. That aside, the prices are affordable, and overall, they get the job done. If you're looking for a reasonably priced massage and don't mind the more casual/open setup, I'd say it's worth giving them a try.

The guy I had literally put his entire strength on my shoulders and back and I feel like he hit every knot and I felt super nimble after. I had a lower back injury few years ago and my back feels so much better. I didn't even realize I had that much tension there but they were able to release the knots. My boyfriend and I noticed how strong they were when they were giving us our massage. Compared to some luxury spas who kinda just do the bare minimum , this place definitely released stress in my body and worked through every muscle. Though you're in a room full of other people, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. They do ask you to pay upfront. I paid $30 for the 60 min. And then after your massage you tip your masseuse. Some will ask to take off your tops and they'll provide robes and I noticed some kept their tops on. I guess it's preference? I tipped mine $20 and he looked happy. I liked how they don't chase you down for more as some other places will do. Overall I really like this place and will be going back in the near future!

My whole body received the same attention and firmness that other therapist would struggle with. I highly recommend that you see her if you need help with tight or sore muscles. I received an awesome new client discount that matched the membership price and saved me 80$ which was the best price around. I will go back next week and buy the membership which will pay for itself and save an additional 30$ on the same visit. I am so happy to have chosen the Massage on the beach and will continue going back every time! Thanks again Ika!! And see you tall again very soon!

Today was my 2nd time with Sasha. Although it was a 90 min Beach Pro (Full Body) massage, it…read moreseriously felt like a 2 hr massage. Sasha has stucture and a tempo. She begins with some directional stretches on your back to get you ready for the "walk on the back." She walks with such skill, from your calves, thighs, buttocks, upper spine, forearms, etc. My two add ons were: - The walk on your back (she does it the best) it's so restorative - Back scrub (it's so refreshing, it like brings more blood flow) - Sasha really puts her heart into it, and uses strong pressure; it feels so good. Sasha has a spirit of excellence. She does not miss a single thing. She got all of my areas of concern: - Ear massage (she does this the best and the longest), it helps with my recent sudden neural hearing loss - Scalp - Neck - Shoulders - Upper spine (sometimes it cracks too, absolutely wonderful) - Buttocks - Thighs - Calves (she does my calves in a few different ways during her treatment), so good!!! Cos Calves are the body's 2nd heart, it pushes blood back into the heart! - Ending with face up, shoulder, arm, thighs and feet massages too Sasha has great concern for the client. I was too warm and asked to remove the blue blanket. She checked on me to make sure I wasn't cold. This place is consistently EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL, AND CLEAN! The massage was so good, I gave her my applause when she was done!!!! Hahahahah Such a great masseuse!

I came here for a deep tissue massage with Lucy due to glowing reviews. I've been getting deep…read moretissue massages for almost 2 decades now and this one was one of the worst. It was such a huge disappointment and painful and uncomfortable I kept waiting for it to be over. First, she doused my entire back with oil, it was so much it dripped everywhere and she didn't even ask for what kind of pressure I wanted. She massaged my back with her forearm, not her hands, with short, super fast strokes. How is that relaxing?? Her pressure with either too soft or too hard, never just right. I had to give her feedback every 5 minutes which was annoying. And she massaged near my armpits and it kept tickling me, I told her to avoid it but she kept doing it anyway. Halfway through the massage, I gave up on giving her feedback as I could not relax. When I told her to please massage my feet as I'm standing a lot, she massaged the top of my feet the whole time, instead of the bottom which was stupid and painful. I told her to not massage my thighs or hips and she did anyway. She massaged a lot of the bony parts instead of muscle. I'm really upset I spent so much money feeling more tense than I did before I came here. I don't understand how people thinks Lucy is a good masseuse.
