Ordered door dash and it was dropped off downstairs. I went to grab my food and it was gone. The pic showed exactly where it was dropped off. I asked a gentleman if he seen it and he said no but said ask the lady at the front desk. I said "hi door dash dropped my food off by the water station but it's gone now did you see who took it" she literally started yelling "I don't take your food" I said "I never said you did I asked if you seen it" she said "I'm gonna need to see the picture of it being dropped off" very rude not helpful. On top of that I have the do not disturb sign on but housekeeping knocked and then maintenance knocked so I guess it's okay to disturb guests read more

The staff does not speak English. Our room was very dirty from the first night. They didn't provide the crib for my baby even though they promised me to provide it in the email. During the stay I had to ask them to clean my room, because they didn't clean 3 days, I was even out of toilet paper and all of my trash cans were overfilled. They don't provide beach chairs and beach towels as they say in the description. Location is far away from the Miami Beach, it's at least 40 minutes using toll roads. Breakfast is poor. read more

I've stayed at a few Element hotels and really enjoy the amenities they offer. They are typically bright and airy and have more of a eco-friendly millennial vibe. They feel very homey as well. This one in Doral isn't my favorite; it's a bit older and could use some paint touch ups etc. but I'd still pick an Element over most other options. There is (always) a filtered water tap in the kitchen, in addition to the regular water faucet, which is awesome. Bed is comfortable. Room was clean. Water pressure was great. Shower was really large in 712 at least. One elevator was down, so it took a while to get up/down. Another customer told me he stayed here a few weeks ago and the other elevator was down so perhaps they have some larger repair issues, but one was working at all times during my stay so it wasn't much of a problem. Parking was easy and the lot felt very safe. You can use the pool at the Aloft (another Marriott property) next door. All of the staff members I met during my stay, from the front desk to the omelette station guy to the housekeepers were all very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was pretty good! There was waffles one day and egg white omelettes another, in addition to cereals, muffins, toast, frittatas, coffee and juices. I missed the evening receptions each night sadly. There is also an attached restaurant but it's only open Wednesday to Saturday I believe. The gym at this location is wonderful. Two treadmills weren't working one morning but there are ellipticals, bikes, a handful of weight machines, yoga mats, yoga balls, and a weight rack. It's more robust that most other hotels I've stayed at. I will very likely stay here again as the next closest Element is downtown and this was easier with traffic! read more

Very poor customer service. The front desk staff is not helpful and very forgetful. We were here on a business trip with multiple rooms and they were getting confused with who was in various rooms even though they were checked in. One person arrived very late and they claimed they didn't have his room reservation so he had to purchase his own room for the night. Then the next day the staff asked him to move to the original room.Very unorganized. The rooms themselves are outdated, despite having a fridge and microwave, there is no silverware or forks, they will give you plastic forks if needed. Yet the sign says there should be glasses, etc. We booked this place as we were going to be staying for about 5 nights and wanted the convenience of at least some sort of kitchen. The only thing good about the hotel is the steakhouse, they have a nice bar area and live music certain nights. Breakfast is fine though once they run out of items they don't restock, the yogurt bar was empty a lot. read more

I did not like this hotel. 1. To get to the registration desk, parking is minimal. I had to park in the regular lot and walk back. If it is raining, you may get very wet. There is no roof in order to load, or unload your vehicle without getting soaked. It is South Florida afer all. It rains a lot. 2. One elevator was broken and the other had a 2-person Covid restriction. Took forever to get down to the first floor. I walked down the stairs one time, but could not with luggage. Fix the elevator! 3. Don't get a room on the west side of the building overlooking the the avenue. Loud traffic all night long. Worse part is I got the room using my points. I did not pay a dime, but still feel l got burned. Good point: A block from M.I.A. Beer Company. Excellent craft brewery. read more

This was hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. You definitely get the bang for your buck. Everything at the hotel was brand new and super modern. This hotel was a godsend after our flight home from Miami to Denver was delayed by over 12 hours. We had just spent all day in the airport and had a horrible experience with American Airlines. We were given vouchers for a shuttle to take us to the Element Miami Doral hotel. My husband was okay with sleeping at the airport but after I had multiple panic attacks and disorientation from just getting off a 7 day cruise, we accepted the voucher and were on our way. After spending over 12 hours in the airport, we HAD to get out. When we arrived, Luis C made us feel like we could have some peace finally. He gave us toothbrushes, toothpaste, and helped us get us drinks and food with our vouchers. In the morning, we were checked out within a minute and headed to the shuttle. The hotel was beautiful, the room was comfortable, and even though we only got a few hours in the hotel before we had to go back to the airport, we will definitely be staying here again if we end up back in Miami. read more

First time in Miami and after days of deciding where to stay. I picked Element. I loved this hotel, it was very clean!! And quiet. I saw mostly business people there. When I showed up the lady in the front was very nice (too bad I didn't get her name :() They have free parking, free breakfast and free wine (certain days)..They also have a restaurant in which I didn't get to enjoy :(...anyways it was way more cleaner than the Aloft (hotel next to it). The only thing I didn't like was that the restaurant closed early so if you are hungry at 3 am in the morning that means no food for you :/.. anyways I had a wonderful time there. read more

My son and I were traveling for business. We were on our way home when our flight was cancelled. The airline made arrangements for a room at the Element Miami Doral. When we arrived at the hotel manager told us our voucher for the room wouldn't work and I would have to pay for the room myself. After spending an hour and15 minutes on the phone with the airlines I finally got someone on the phone that could clear up the problem and the manager (Mariano Marin) went to lunch. Once her returned I spent another hour on the phone with the airline. Mariano accused me of being a fraud and trying to scam the hotel. He actually threatened to have me removed from the hotel. By this point another couple of travelers from the same airline should up and were told the same thing. The airline told me that the hotel was new to their network and didn't understand how to process the voucher properly, of course the hotel blamed the airline. Once the hotel got on the phone with the airline and he knew we were legitimate. Mariano made us wait in the lobby for anther 2 hours while they got educated on how to process the vouchers. Instead of letting us go to our rooms while they figured out the payment issue. Our reservation was for a room with 2 beds. When we got to our room it only had 1 bed. So back to the lobby we go. Mariano was there and asked what the problem was, we told him and he made the change. Mariano never offered to help, we never even got so much as an I'm sorry for the inconvenience from him. He seemed annoyed that he was actually being asked to do something and left it up to us to resolve the problem. We spent almost 5 hours in the lobby trying to work it out. We were treated with disdain and like we were criminals. I'm not sure how he found work in the hospitality industry because he showed us none. The front desk girl Lucy was nice and courteous as was the rest of the staff. The hotel was nice, but I'll never got back. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

This was my first stay at an element hotel, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Check in process was slow, especially since only one agent was working the desk, and there was no SPG plat check-in line. However, front desk staff was nice and was able to upgrade me upon request (although this really should have been automatic). The suite was well equipped with a small kitchen and living room area, and had a filtered water dispenser. Bathroom was nice and spacious, as well as the bedroom. Furniture was... lacking in the bedroom however. The hotel was only built a year ago and has been kept up fairly well, plenty of outlets everywhere. Housekeeping made sure it stayed clean upon returning from daily jaunts. Our bed was beyond comfortable, and made for the perfect night's rest. The ac needs to be customizable though. Had a great experience at the Element! When we first arrived, someone was able to help us check in and they were very efficient. The rooms were amazing. I have never seen a room with so many different amenities before. My favorite was that the shower had a rain shower - so refreshing after a long flight or a day spent at the beach! There was also a fridge, stove, dishwasher, filtered water, and sink in the room...what! The bed was large and super comfortable. Only complaint is that the AC makes the room extremely cold even though I turned it off. The complimentary breakfasts were alright. There was a little yogurt bar, a ton of drinks (juice, coffee, tea, etc.) some eggs, sausages, and toast. Big fan of the latte/espresso machine. read more

Worst hotel service I've ever experienced. If you're not Hispanic or do not speak Spanish then you're treated like a second class citizen unless you're Caucasian. Staff is extremely rude and unresponsive. House cleaning cleaned the room but left no towels so when we asked for towels, we were told there were no clean towels in the entire hotel. Then my wife slips and injured her knee and back so I go back to the front desk and scold them about the situation. The following morning we get awoken to cops, come to escort me out because of the verbal altercation I had with the staff. 1) they'll be hearing from our lawyers and 2) hospitality is given to all customers!!!!! The Element is a beautiful hotel very clean and new BUT the way you as customer are treated by rude staff makes it an ugly experience. The Marriott has grown as a company so much that at this point they feel that we should be honored to be allowed to stay in their hotels. The days when their only mission was to make you feel welcomed are gone. I strongly believe and I know I'm not when I say the Marriott should be boycotted. It's time that the big corporation realize that a company that only makes money is not successful. Beautiful waters, clean facilities, and the staff are amazing. I was using the fitness room (which also include some apples, towels, and water), but one treadmill somehow stopped working. I reported this to the front desk and they handled the issue right away! Love the way the rooms look, and it is very comfortable and clean. Beautiful, modern dining area for breakfast. Nice overall experience, would stay again. A couple of watch outs: not a lot of parking, pool is shared with the Aloft Hotel next door, the lobby area where you check in is tiny, breakfast is busy and the placing of the food causes a long line, there is not enough tables and chairs for breakfast. The location is not bad, there are supermarkets, restaurants, drugstores and liquor stores nearby. After finally finding the lobby (its minuscule and you can't really tell it's the lobby from the outside) the check in was quick. They provide modern carts to help you get your luggage to your room (only 3 carts though). The hotel is modern and fairly new. Rooms are clean, beds and even the sofa bed was comfortable. We got the 1 bedroom suite with a king bed and sofa bed, it was well worth the money. Fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware and even wine glasses) with almost regular sized fridge. The only weird thing was that they kept stocking us with 3 towels when we were 4, and the reservation was for 4. Check out was a breeze! Tip: I got a lower rate through them online and creating an SPG membership account which is free. read more

A new brand for Starwood. A good way to use / earn SPG points. A good location. Close enough to Miami, close to the airport, near the freeway that will lead us down toward the Keys. A 20 minute walk to Win Dixie. A 10 minute drive to Publix. Both modern and well stocked grocery stores. This Element room proved to be a well laid out, functional & comfortable efficiency hotel suite. The desk (and an ironing board that I use for a side bar desk extension when space permits) accommodated the three lap tops we work on daily. The desk faces the window across the room for a view and overlooks the living room area where the TV and sectional couch and coffee table is. Very efficient for a small suite.. A roll out table / island makes the kitchen very easy to cook and eat in. The fridge and dish washer are full sized units. The 4 burner induction heat stove top unit really made the non stick fry pan and pots rock. A filtered water dispenser was a nice touch. The bedroom seemed small at first ... however the Westin style bed was very comfortable - so no complaints in the long run. There is lots of storage space in the Ikea style cupboard and cabinet units. The modern furniture and Ikea look did give me the initial impression of a "cheap" look and feel. However after a 4 day long stay - the function and comfort provided won out for the long term impression. We could easily stay here longer ... The bathroom is somewhat reminiscent of a public bathroom - however the shower was very nice and everything works just fine. Too bad that large soaker bath tubs do not fit the "green" profile of the hotel. We are on a long road trip - so we appreciated using the coin operated washer & dryer on the main floor. The large BBQ and one of the tables at the pool side will be used tonight when we cook up the steak meal we have planned. The front desk is getting the BBQ tool set, roasting pan, oven mitts together for us to use later this evening. The breakfast and dinner service provided is in the lobby - so there is lots of seating (and outside on the pool deck) to enjoy the complementary morning and evening meals. beer and wine included for dinner. The Loft hotel next door apparently has lounge entertainment - we did not check that out. The exercise room is large and well equipped. The WiFi internet is fast and stable. I just expended 4 days in this hotel while sheltering my family from Hurricane Irma. We had a mandatory evacuation from our home an ended up here, in this unknown gem. The hotel is simple but modern, super comfortable, rooms were clean, well distributed, and accommodated with all you need for an extended stay; regular size kitchen with a full refrigerator/freezer with ice making capabilities, microwave, dishwasher, etc. However, what really amazed me, was it's personnel and general manager. They were kind, helpful and resourceful in the middle of a stressful situation, like hurricane Irma was. Always ready to accommodate any need. I will definitely recommend this hotel for work related or leisure stay while in the Miami-Doral area. read more

The bed spread had stains on it and when I took it off the bedspread-there were short black hairs between the bed spread and sheets- I was totally skeeved and freaked out. The place and decor is beautiful but there are key elements missing. No trash cans in the room, hot water not working, front desk staff seemed not well trained, breakfast was not fully prepared at the lobby. This hotel has completely gone nuts. We have been staying here because we are waiting for the closing of a property and needed a place to stay while finishing the process. During our stay the south Florida area was affected by hurricane Irma. This hotel decided to charge us the same rate for the several days we had to stay without electricity in hot rooms that smelled like pure wet dog. We had no other option but to stay because the other hotels in the area were with not taking guests or booked up. We feel taken advantage of because of our situation. How can you charge the same amount to allow us to stay in a hot room with no light, smells like a dog, no internet or cable connection. Basically to pay the full rate for a bed. I have to say the staff here was super nice! The rooms were very clean and extremely functional for our stay. Breakfast was free and good! Heck they had Cuban ham croquets ! All facilities were clean and tidy. At the hotel store they had all the necessities and more! Full bottles of wine sold! They share the pool with the Aloft right across from the rear entrance ! The one minus and the reason for the minus star is the fact that the room doors allow a lot of sound from the halls in. I could hear the conversations from the rooms as I pass by them.
