From the check in lobby to the bed side table with a handheld massager. You'll be able to go in and out of the garage with the use of your hotel key. When we were checking out we made sure to take the car out first. We had a 4th floor view and it just over looked some corporate buildings, but the room itself was just gorgeous. Full length mirrors for those fit checks and large enough to fit both you and your partner. Closet space to store jackets and also has robes and slippers (Slippers are free so feel free to take, but leave the robe) Bathroom was so elegant, huge mirror accompanied by another full length mirror, toilet that was a square and not an oval, and a walk in shower that had a rain fall shower head so it gave the experience of the jungle. What was insane was the bed, I planted by butt the second we go in and it was SO SOFT I melted into it. It was like a gentle hug on my booty. A huge ~55-65" tv that welcomed us and has all your streaming providers. A nespresso (which I didn't get to use, but cool that they had it) Then yeah that massager to get the knots out of your neck or circulate the blood in your thighs or whatever it may be. Regardless, it was a wonderful time and really sets the standard for the Bay Area, or Sunnyvale area. read more

The hotel is modern and chic, with excellent maintenance -- it feels almost brand new. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by very unfriendly front desk staff. Within just five minutes of entering our room, we received a noise complaint. The staff member claimed multiple rooms had complained, which seemed clearly untrue. We were disappointed that a stay at such a well-kept property was marred by poor service right from the start. Would advise any family with kids better stay elsewhere. read more

This is the most beautiful modern hotel I've ever walked into near the Google campus. I came here for a local pilates meetup at their rooftop hosted by 313 Wellness during sunset. The amenities were top-notch. They got the pool and fitness room with a view of the sunset on the rooftop floor. It sucks there's no ocean view, just the streets of Sunnyvale, Google, and other buildings lol. That sunset view gave me a stunning profile pic, though. I didn't expect to have loud airplane noise while chilling out, so I'm not sure if the hotel rooms are soundproof, since I want to book a room to treat myself on my birthday or another special occasion for a full luxury experience. The front desk staff was kind to validate my parking ticket. I would love to try their restaurants and their bar, where you don't have to book a room to dine in. They even have a pop-up event that supports local vendors once a year. Overall, walking in there took my breath away like paradise. read more

Tetra... What a hotel!!!!! IYKYK... THE spot to stay in the South Bay! My wife and I bought tickets for the Gilroy Garlic Festival this past weekend (first one in six years!) And being there's no real hotels or restaurants in the town of Gilroy itself, we wanted to stay in the Greater San Jose/ South Bay area to make the trek to Gilroy manageable on Saturday morning. So when I saw Tetra on the Chase Travel Portal I decided to book. Tetra Hotel - Autograph Collection is located in the heart of Silicon Valley: in Sunnyvale next to Google's campus and surrounded by other tech companies. The hotel is right off 101 and at the intersection of Java and Mathilda. Parking is very convenient (but you do have to pay). And Tetra is next to an AC Hotel with both hotels sharing the same parking garage. Walk inside and you'll see the "elegant minimalism" that Tetra showcases. Whomever designed the lobby and layout of this place was extremely creative! It's very tranquil and focused on nature. Moreover, the hotel interior is extremely picturesque and the vibe is relaxing. You'll also find their Japanese whiskey bar (Nokori), a sit down restaurant (Adrestia), a coffee shop (Coffee Manufactory), and somewhere where you can grab snacks. At the check-in station staff welcomed us with open arms! We were told to go to the second floor for our room. There are 186 rooms and 14 suites at Tetra. We opted for a basic, 1 King. Walking inside our room was absolutely GORGEOUS. So smartly designed. Incredibly sleek. And I'm talking EXTRAORDINARILY clean! You know how almost all hotel rooms have scuffs, ding marks, and wear? Not TETRA! Our room was absolutely spotless and new-looking! I joke with my wife when we travel that I can't sit on hotel couches because they almost always feel or look gross. However, this was NOT the case with Tetra! Their couch was spacious and looked and smelled completely new!! Hardly any noticeable wear! The bathroom was extremely roomy! It features a "rain" shower that could easily fit a whole family (lol). And amenities that are top of the line, with an included loofah, vanity set, and Dyson blow dryer. Our room also came with a fridge (which I feel is rare these days), but it wasn't a gross or crusty one. Tetra gave us two ice-cold Evian glass water bottles to welcome us! The room was also equipped with a Nespresso and Nespresso pods! Something I haven't seen in a hotel since our time traveling Italy! Closet space was ample, and the hotel included robes and slippers too! Smart TV... extremely comfortable bed... checkmarks all around... But coolest of all, the hotel offers mini THERAGUN massage guns in each room. Yes, you read that correctly. I've never seen that before in any hotel!! You know we got our massage on!! We stayed here for two nights and were extremely sad to leave. The comfort, tranquility, and modernity were just what we wanted! We even ordered room service a couple times! (Lol). In a nutshell, this is the perfect hotel to stay in if you want something unique for a great price in the South Bay. I can't wait to come back, maybe for a 49ers game this season? Fantastic hotel in Sunnyvale! We stayed at Tetra during our visit to San Jose. The hotel is lowkey sexy, and has a gorgeous ambiance. The rooftop pool is nestled in between two hotels, but has an elegant luxury appeal. The gym is small, but is well equipped with just about everything you need. They have a Japanese whiskey bar in the lobby by the name of Nokori. Our bartender made us some tasty yuzu old fashions & whiskey sours, which tasted great. The other restaurant on property offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed breakfast, especially their crispy sea salt potatoes. The rooms were minimalistic, yet spacious. The water pressure in the shower was great, and they have dyson blow dryers if you need them. I was also a big fan of the lighting inside our room. Our experience was great. Very modern, clean, parking was easy. Loved how the room was equipped with a dyson hairdryer, mini massage gun, bath robs and slippers. We still went swimming on a cold windly night but the pool was slightly heated. The pool area had a lounge area with a fire place that was lit with hanging lights. Breakfast was Japanese inspired and we loved it! Servers were very attentive to beverages, etc. They even offered to give us cups to take coffee to go, which was a kind gesture. Stayed at Tetra for one night after the Coldplay concert since I knew the show would end late and I'm so glad I booked it. The vibe of the place was really nice. The lobby was gorgeous and the room was as pretty, spacious, modern, and elegant. One thing I loved was the little details. They had a Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom and even a Therabody mini massager which was a nice touch after a long night. The fitness center also looked great and had a nice view of the pool. The whole place felt peaceful and not crowded at all which made the stay even better. Also, the parking had a tesla charger which was super helpful for me. This place feels like a retreat! I was greeted by Alicia(sp?) who truly went above and beyond with her care/service! Just an absolute gem of a person! We were lucky enough to get a free glass of wine as we headed up to our room, The true stars of the room are the Dyson blow dryer and the Theragun massager! The beds are nice and low to the ground if you have mobility issues I can see them being a bit more comfortable. I also love the huge mirror right by the door it makes for great photo ops! Swanky, clean, and soooo comfortable. I loved this hotel and got the best nights of sleep here. It's very quiet at night. Probably in part because there's absolutely nothing within walking distance of the hotel (it's located in an office park), so you'll have to Uber for coffee and food, unless you're willing to pay for an overpriced $10 latte downstairs at Coffee Manufactory. No need to bring a robe or slippers since those come with the room. There's a water bottle refill station on each floor. Room temp water only, but there's ice here too. The toiletries smell great and the Dyson hairdryer is a big plus. I would definitely stay here again. read more

We stayed over a weekend and it felt quiet and relaxing. - Details of the interior were very thoughtful. Staff was really great. Bad -- - Front desk host was not very friendly. - I was hoping for some additional perks or upgrades for being a Marriott Gold Elite, but did not. - Location. Not many dining options close by and what's on site is overpriced and not amazing. Decent restaurants are at least a 15-20 minutes drive out. - Bathroom walls are translucent glass, which look beautiful, but if you're staying with another person and using the bathroom in the night or early morning, the lights shine brightly through. - Gym is small and probably comfortably fits 2-3 people. - Parking is $22/night, but that's most hotels. All in all, because of the location and lack of dining options, I probably wouldn't book this hotel again unless I really needed to be in this specific area. read more

Definitely worth checking out if you need to stay within the area for business or even a weekend retreat. The hotel offers a very modern, zen like atmosphere with an amazing japanese bar located in their spacious lobby. My first impression upon walking in was how quiet it was. Even with children around me there was no echo of their presence. Not that I dont like children - I just happened to be staying here to get a way from my own (and it this hotel served my purpose perfectly). The hotel has a spa vibe to it (but, unfortunately, there is no spa). I wish there was otherwise I would have taken complete advantage of it. The accommodations are superb! On the surface, this a super swanky spot that serves all the right vibes, but there are lots of little things that detract from a 5 star experience. Good: - vibes and aesthetic - really kind staff - coffee bar in the lobby - decent restaurants in the lobby - solid little gym with pelotons and equipment in great condish - motion censor nightlights in the bathroom - great blackout curtains Cons: - the rooms smell SO STRONG. Like designer perfume. Even the duvet covers seem to be drenched in it. And you can't escape it because there's not just one source - is it coming through the air vents?? Also because... - windows don't open - mattresses are so over the top soft, as are the pillows - room service is delivered in to-go boxes - they have hydration stations everywhere but the censors are so finicky and won't pour into my water bottle, only their plastic cups Overall I wouldn't come back because of the smell. I know it's probably supposed to be a nice touch but it's so strong and gave me a headache the entire time. read more

Review purely for the coffee shop inside the hotel lobby. There is a Coffee Manufactory location in the hotel lobby across from the entrance in the corner. The shop is quaint and small with a ton of products displayed. They have food, drinks, little trinkets, and merchandise. The service was quick and the employees were very friendly. I opted for a matcha latte with almond milk. The lattes were not cheap here. I believe my matcha latte with almond milk was around $9. The latte itself was ok. The matcha was not suspended enough and the powder was balled up at the bottom of the cup. read more

We stay here every year for our annual 49ers game. The level of customer service is always very high, no matter what part of the hotel you're at. The hotel is luxurious but not pretentious. I love that it's just a blocks walk to the light rail, and the food quality is HIGH. Chef Sarah, in particular, is excellent and her dedication to customer satisfaction was evidient when she came out to personally talk with us and make sure we were happy (we were!). The amenities are nice, including a Dyson hairdryer. There is plenty of parking in the garage and multiple electric car charging stations. Daily parking costs $28. Amazing hotel in the tech area of Silicon Valley. I just had the most amazing stay here and was so impressed by the service from check in to the restaurant to the bar to the bell staff. The room was upgraded to a corner room - super crazy layout but quiet and comfortable. One quirk is that the nightlight comes on each and every time by motion when you enter the bathroom via a sliding glass door, ( ultra modern).. and it shines into the bedroom area for a few moments even when you depart the bathroom. It would be great if that motion nightlight was just in the toilet area rather than the underside area where it shines into the bedroom hence where someone is sleeping. The shower is big and amazing with great toiletries and a Dyson hairdryer!! Love that ! Nice robes too :-) The tea kettle and Coffee Manufactory coffee in the room is great. There is a coffee shop downstairs- Coffee Manufactory and it's good and served at breakfast. Speaking of breakfast- amazing! The staff in both restaurants was so nice and accommodating to my allergies- as the theme here is heavily Asian with lots of miso / soy/ etc in the food and I'm allergic to all of that! They really helped me work around that and were kind about it. We hosted our daughter for breakfast one day and we are all still talking about how good breakfast was . We need a place to stay just for one night because my neighbors were throwing a huge all night party and I just wanted some rest. This is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed at and I travel a lot. The beds were soft it was super quiet, and my daughter was overjoyed it just how fancy everything was. The Nespresso machine and tea kettle were really cool. I love the robes and the slippers. There wasn't a bathtub but the rain shower was a lovely and all the products smelled delightful. It was a great way to switch a grumpy evening into a fun little adventure. Everything felt new and clean and just sleek and high tech but in a way that was so inviting. read more

They have pack and plays available for your baby/toddler. I loved my stay here and already cannot wait to come back! From the subtle Japanese touches, in room dyson, complimentary evian water, and the MiN New York toiletries, our experience felt so upscale and serene. This is one of those hotels where they pay attention to so many small details. From the wood, to the wool carpet, the amenities, even the lighting fixtures felt premium. They have everything from an in house restaurant, coffee shop, a pool, a fitness center, and even a bar so that you can enjoy your stay here without leaving the property. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating to any requests we had. The hotel common areas are kept very clean and the property scent was a nice touch. Great experience at a seemingly almost brand new hotel! We are Marriott Platinum status members and we were upgraded to a suite at check-in. the room was beautiful, with tons of floor-to-ceiling windows, a fabulous shower with rainfall showerhead, and some fun amenities including a Theragun and a Dyson Supersonic blow dryer. The elevators were fast and parking was secure and convenient. The hotel is tucked into a quiet business area, which could be a con for some, but we enjoyed the quiet. A couple of cons: - First and foremost, an Autograph Collection level location really needs a lounge for Elite members. We were offered a continental breakfast at the property next door, or a few extra points. - The floor-to-ceiling windows are beautiful, but unfortunately not practical. You can't them open because the lights on the outside of the AC Hotel next door are SO bright, and the pulls that open and close the drapes end up behind the decorative (?) cement columns in both the bedroom and living room and are a pain to open and close. A super strange design flaw for such a new hotel. - There are tons of motion activated lights all over the room - under the bed which sits close to the ground, on the vanity in the bathroom, etc. They can easily be set off by accident from bed. Not good for light sleepers. Overall, this is a great hotel and we would stay here again if given the opportunity. read more

There's no smell from construction at all in the room. The room is pretty spacious and clean. They have robes in the closet too. I had to ask for toothbrush and toothpaste. They don't have slippers available like most Marriott do. The front desk is very friendly. Everything is new in the room. They remodeled it nicely and put some cool furnitures / decorations. Had a very nice recent stay at Tetra in Sunnyvale. The hotel is attached to another Marriott brand AC Hotels and they share many common facilities. The hotels are brand new and offer elevated design and amenities for the area. For example, rooms came with Dyson hair dryers and Fellow electric kettles. The hotel gave me vibes of 5 star hotels in Asia, be it in a smaller package and located in the middle of an office park. If you have Platinum Elite status, you'll get breakfast at Adrestia - the hotel's all day restaurant. The menu will be limited to a continental breakfast plate or the typical two eggs, sausage/bacon, toast option. Service was a little hit and miss at the restaurant, but it is a nice environment and the food was good. They offer free EV charging in their garage with all EV stalls located on the lower level (make a left after entering the garage). read more

TETRA hotel has finally opened offering another Autograph Collection hotel in the 101 corridor in the South Bay--the other being Hotel Nia. The finishes of the hotel are very modern and sleek. The staff is very attentive and friendly... and still working through some minor opening issues. Construction is ongoing therefore limiting room selection. Pros: Finishes, modern rooms, convenient location, easy parking, quiet, complementary glass bottled water in the room. Cons: Room curtain functionality, corner room layout awkwardness, no hot tub and small pool, located too close to Bay resulting in nauseating smells in the morning, food delivery must be picked up at front desk and no delivery straight to the room. read more

The Tetra Hotel is a swanky modern hotel that is new to the Sunnyvale area. The hotel is not cheap to stay at but the fact that is new, clean, and very modern appeal to me. Our suite was spacious and the amenities were somewhat unique - dyson hairdryer, a sewing kit, shampoo and conditional in a reusable bottle. The bed was comfy and clean. The receptionist at the front desk was nice and friendly. The cleaning crew did an excellent job! The only con was the room was facing construction so if your looking for a nice view, this hotel isn't the best for that. In addition, the valet service wasn't the best. When we arrived and when we were leaving, the gentleman just stood there, did not offer to help put suitcases in the trunk. I would of tipped him if he did help. Overall though, it's a nice hotel to stay at and close to the highway as well! read more

Terrible establishment. As a loyal marriot convoy member, this place is bad for being on the newer side! The hotel is on the newer side and gives a nice contemporary feel. But the service is horrible! I went down to the front desk to ask for extra towels as they only gave me one bath towel for my stay at 9:00pm. They informed me that house keeping would bring it up. I waited about 1 hour and then I followed up using the marriot app - at about 10:15. They responded and told me sorry for the delay and someone would be up shortly. Of course I waited another hour to follow up. No one ever came. This was around 11:00pm now. Marriott even sent me a follow up again to remind and apologize for the delay. HOUSEKEEPING never brought the requested towel up and they never came after I messaged them about it. The service is horrible here can use a lot of work. Like how hard is it to bring towels to my room because they neglected to leave extra towels when I arrived? I also even went down to the lobby to request the towels and they couldn't give it to me there. Overall for the price point, this hotel is not worth it. I stay at a lot of Marriot hotels and this has to be one of the worst experiences. Followed up, the Director of Rooms - Sol Medina Lor. Said she would provide 5000 extra points as compensation. But it has been 2 weeks and the points have not shown. Would not come back to this pricy establishment with terrible hospitality! read more
