We recently stayed here while attending a FIFA match and overall had a pleasant stay. The hotel features a beautifully done modern decor with nice earthy tones throughout the property. There is also a nice fire pit outside by the pool. The Room: Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The beds were great, and the bathroom was well-appointed with quality complimentary amenities, so you don't need to pack your own. It also featured a full kitchen setup, complete with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Amenities: The property has a nice decent size pool and jacuzzi. They host a complimentary evening happy hour, though we unfortunately returned too late to enjoy it. The free continental breakfast buffet is standard but decent, offering typical options like eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Additionally, they have a small lobby market stocked with yogurts, cheeses, beer, and snacks. Parking is free and plenty around the property. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location-wise, it is directly across from a plaza featuring a Starbucks, a bagel shop, and quick dining options like Mendocino Farms, The Habit, and an Asian fusion teriyaki restaurant, making it convenient for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it for its comfort, convenience and location. I also noticed this hotel was near lots of tech companies like Intel and others. read more

I stayed at the Element for one night while in town for work. I chose it because it's close to the office and part of the Marriott family. My experience started off well. I arrived after 9:30 PM, check-in was quick, and the property looked well maintained. My room was spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable. After a long day with my team, I got a great night's sleep. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I woke up around 4:40 AM to finish preparing for a two-hour presentation I was giving later that morning. After working on my laptop for a few minutes, the power in the sleeping/couch area went out. I found the electrical panel in the room and reset the breaker. The power came back on, but only for a few minutes before it tripped again. I reset it four different times with the same result. Eventually, I gave up. I decided I'd take a shower, check out, and finish my work in the hotel lobby instead. The shower wasn't much better. Even with the temperature turned all the way to hot, it took more than a minute before the water was warm enough to get in. By the end of the shower, it was only lukewarm. As I was leaving the room, the door wouldn't close because the deadbolt had partially extended. I had to go back inside, work the handle until it retracted, and then leave again. The most disappointing part of the stay came at checkout. I explained that I was checking out early because the power kept going out in my room. The only response I received was, "Do you want your receipt printed?" There was no apology, no follow-up questions, and no indication that anyone intended to investigate the problem. I worked in the lobby until it was time to meet my colleagues. When they showed up at 8 AM, I told them about my experience that morning. Another guest overheard my conversation and said they had also experienced only lukewarm water that morning, so my shower experience wasn't an isolated one. Will I stay here again? No. There are several other Marriott properties nearby, and next time I'll choose one of them. read more

Stayed here over night for the FIFA match. The service was very friendly and when asked for more toiletries blankets and towels they dropped them by very quickly. I enjoy the amenities here. My room was cute clean and chic. I would definitely stay again. The only thing I think they can do better is have the extras we asked for ready in the room because when making a reservation we did note more than 1 person was staying in the room, but asking for it wasnt hard at all. read more

I've stayed here with my mom who visits from Chicago. This is our preferred hotel when she is in town, we like the vibe and the location is near food options. The rooms are all very nice, some bigger than the others but still very big. A lot of the rooms have a full kitchen space, if not a full kitchen, at least a mini fridge and some dishes etc. The downside is that the walls are thin and if someone is above you , you will hear the footsteps as well as to the side of the room and the hallway. I think this hotel is used for a lot of sports/ camps etc, so it can be a lot busier than at other times. And during the busy times with the kids who are playing on sports teams, that's when we could not sleep through the night as the kids were in the hallway and someone above sounded like they were moving furniture in the middle of the night. Not sure where their parents were or why hotel staff didn't quiet them down at the time, but that was frustrating. There is breakfast offered in the morning. A good variety for a free breakfast. At times there is a special breakfast menu item to order in addition to the buffet. There's an egg option, bread/ bagels to toast, a yogurt bar and cereal bar. Along with fresh juice and an espresso coffee machine. The staff is very attentive at breakfast time. Small breakfast complaint- there are only two toasters so you and how ever many people are waiting to toast bread , I feel like there could be a better option than just two toasters made for homes vs lots of people at a hotel. Also there is a small but nice pool area in the back with towels available. There is a bar section that serves some drinks but only Monday-Thursday. read more

This has been my go to hotel when I'm in the area for the last few years. It's newer than some in the area, clean, service from the front desk to housekeeping have been amazing. I have higher status on Bonvoy so I always get acknowledged for it and upgraded upon check in. Some of the workers actually remember me as I stay here for work, our office is a few blocks away or a quick 3mins drive or I stay here for personal trips too. They have a daily breakfast served. I'm a simple breakfast person so the spread they have is more than sufficient for me. We have tried the bar and although not a huge variety, they have the gin I like and other bars in the area does not. The bartender who's here in the evenings alway know how to make our drinks. Never any issues. Rooms are spacious and clean. Will continue to come back. Vy is the sales manager and is so attentive and makes sure I'm taken care of. Myra is everywhere. She's helping with the front desk check in and then the next day, I saw her with the breakfast set up. Still with a smile and hard working. read more

The free breakfast was decent, but it was the same both days of my stay and lacked variety. My room had a strange smell, likely because the window couldn't be opened. I'm not sure about the cleaning policy, but no one cleaned my room during my stay. The front desk staff was friendly. I forgot my ID, but she allowed me to use my digital ID and even switched the check-in to my husband. They are located in a technology park. Parking is $18 daily. Hidden gem in the bay! Redeemed my annual free night here after a night out at topgolf which is only 10 minutes away. We didn't have any time to take advantage of the amenities so this review is mainly for the room stay. The room is super spacious with a nice open view of sunset, and there's a lot of food options in the same lot; could easily do a staycation here. They didn't let me do late checkout though even as a gold member so that was a bummer. read more

Element Santa Clara took the cake for me. Element is one of my favorite hotels to frequent when I travel for business. They have an incredible breakfast. The property is always clean, bright, with excellent staff. Upon check in I was greeted with a warm welcome. I had a wonderful good night rest. The beds are everything. They are two things that make me want to stay at a hotel, the bed and the shower. Both were amazing! I went to breakfast and had the most lovely experience. Alma in the food service breakfast attendant at the Element was incredible. She had over 25 years of hospitality service. She made me feel like a queen. Comfortable hotel, nice staff, but charges for parking even though it's not a crowded area... I've always been a fan of the element hotels. They have spacious rooms, great free breakfast, decent lobby space, and very affordable. Unfortunately this one really let me down with the parking situation. Located in Santa Clara near some industrial parks / offices, not a particularly crowded place but right off the freeway for convenience. Also only a few stories tall so not the biggest of hotels, but typical for an element. Check in was quick and painless, although I did have to park on the street in order to avoid paying for parking (and only until 8AM in the morning or so). It's definitely telling when the parking lot is half empty, nothing within walking distance, and everyone wanting to park on the street. The rooms themselves are typical element. Spacious, with a small kitchenette, decent sized bathroom, and plenty of outlets. Wifi worked fine. Overall, I still enjoy elements, but not sure I will be back. read more

I've stayed here 10+ times and I love this specific Element because the pool is heated here and our fur friends can come along and stay for FREE. While the other Elements in the area maybe newer such as the one next to Rakuten building, oddly it doesn't have a heated pool and they charge $50 non refundable deposit per pet. This Element is very cute, trendy, and pretty modern with an old school twist. The main and front public space is very inviting and very clean. The pool area is also very cute. It may not be the biggest pool however, it's sufficient enough to bring a small crowd. The rooms are also very spacious for you to sprawl out and really live away from home. It's a mini home away from home and bigger than a studio. This could make for a small apartment. I love the finishing touches of design here. The one big issue though, is that the sliding door to the restroom doesn't have a silent close or door stopper that allows it to quietly close. Instead, the sliding door creates a loud bang. The bang is loud enough to make you jerk. I'm sure it's a big annoyance and a shock to hear it at random from guests in neighboring rooms. If you're a light sleeper, it is likely you wouldn't be able to ignore it. The property should certainly invest in implementing some type of mechanism or stopper to prevent this. All in all, overall decent place to stay. There's also an orange theory in less than a 5 minute walk including Starbucks, habit and Mendocino farms - a farm to table food experience. Here's also a tip. Parking on site is $17 daily. There's not very many street parking but you can find one and avoid the daily parking fee. read more

I stayed here for three nights in January around NYE. **Location** It's located near Great America, Mercado and Levi Stadium. Also nearby Rivermark of Santa Clara for shopping. **Check-In** Check-In right by the door to your left when you walk in. Super easy and friendly front desk. **Accommodations** I've stayed at the Element in Barnaby, BC and enjoy their Westin beds. I stayed in a one bedroom room which had a separate room from the kitchen and living room. The kitchen area and counter was useful during my stay. **Amenities** They had a descent size pool and gym which I did not use during my stay. I did sit outside the fire pit for 20 minutes. Good breakfast, be prepared on game day, it gets busy. On quieter mornings, they were able to fulfill my request for an omelette easily. I was able to get street parking in front of the hotel. **Local Attractions** Rivermark is nearby if you need to pick up some grocery. Of course Levi Stadium is nearby which I would if you travel from out of town for a game. read more

This Element location gets a 5 star from me simply for the GM seems spot on with this brand. Sometimes it can be one person or one experience that pushes a review a Yelp star in one direction or another. In this case, I kind of think this Element is a "good" property and a 4 star, but the GM gave it that push over the 5 star goal line for me. I happened to have cause to stay at this Element over the weekend of the Taylor Swift concert weekend at Levi Stadium, for my niece and I were attending. Although a bit too far for us personally to walk from here to Levi Stadium, one could indeed do it if they had the time and were not dolled up with sparkles from head to tow in the heat of summer. Despite a very busy weekend, the layout of the lobby area is open for an Element in a way that is inviting, whether one is eating from their breakfast bar or simply plugging in to check some emails. Lobby easily spills into the courtyard and pool area where you could do either of those things to. Rooms were standard for Element, but were clean and as expected. But kudos goes to the General Manager. Although I cannot recall his name, I recall his professionalism, his friendliness, his presence in lobby and in general being around and his making me feel like a valued guest. His hospitality and personality seems to fit this brand of the Marriott chain perfectly...young at heart, cool, urban, comfortable, laid back. I would consider staying here versus the Marriott down the street for 49ers games if my husband was willing to walk a bit further to Levi Stadium. Seems more our style. read more

Pets stay free here! The rooms are all suites, spacious and clean! They have a decent sized pool and jacuzzi and lots of lounging spaces. Parking is $14/night but since it's located in a business park, you can also find lots of other spaces to park around the area. Super close to 101 freeway. The only downside is the walls and floors are thin so you can head all the stomping from above and the planes that fly above. Shower pressure is nice as well, and they have all the items you would need for a kitchenette. read more

Breakfast was great with options for granola, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and some hot food options that change daily. The push carts that you find at the airport were helpful getting baggage to the room. Here it goes.... 1 Property is brand new so everything was very clean. The windows in the main lobby were crystal clear, the tables and bar area was nicely arranged and very clean. 2. The room was updated with the most modern appliances. The bathroom was spacious and light and bright. They had automated lights so you don't have to flip a switch, the motion sensor detects you. The kitchen had everything you needed to make and cook a meal. 3. The bed was so comfortable. Of all the hotels I stayed at, this was the third best bed that I slept on. First was Marriot Resort on Big island and second one was JW in Koolina Hawaii. It was so comfortable, clean, soft and sheets were crisp. I wanted to sleep in. 4. The front desk was super busy. I called 2x during 5 to 530 pm and no one picked up. I then called at 730 am and noone picked up. 5.The bar guy was super freindly and super nice. I wanted a blue moon but he put me on to strawberry wheat beer and i loved it. 6. The pool area was simple and all you need was there. It came with a corn hole play area for kids next to the pool area. The pool came with floating beds. It was cute! 7. The breakfast was very simple. Bagels, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and apples. French toast was made to order and its very small. -( see pic). I wish they would have had oatmeal. Everything is very color coordinated and very small portions. 8. Parking is $15 a day. This is ridiculous because u can literally park next door which is 10 feet away infront of Sumitomo and not pay it. Plus, parking fee should be free for Marriot Members. Overall, this was a great weekend stay to blog the hotel and see what is new in the neighborhood. I hope to see this element hotel in other parts of Northern California. read more

This hotel rates on a scale of awful to awful-er. It only scores a 2 due to the fact that I liked the outdoor area &I found the breakfast area to be very nice considering how awful the service of this hotel is. This begins before my arrival. This reservation was made by my company for our group for several rooms. We arrived the weekend of the game in Santa Clara. Prior to arrival, as a Marriott Bonvoy member, you receive a 'check in' reminder a email asking if you would like anything prior to your arrival. I noticed that my company had booked me with two beds & even though I was traveling alone, I still prefer one large king bed. I got on the app. & attempted to change this since I did see that king bedded rooms in the same category &price were available. The 'person' on the app was not only very stale but said it was not possible with my status & I would have to try at check in but it would be 'noted'. It didn't really matter that much because as I said, I was traveling for work and it was only me. Fast forward. Our group all arrived about 2 hours late. Mind you , we are a large group -upon check in the gentlemen checking me in, allowed someone not in our group, who had been waiting patiently, to just cut the line. Again, pick the battles, as I say. Minor annoyance. When I got to the gentleman, he noted my request, & said that if I changed to a king room that I would 'lose my upgraded amenities', ( I would later figure out this was a lie, my original room was the same , if not less than anyone else's.). We, in our group, were all asked to stand to the side while we waited for EVERYONE in our group to check in & hear about our special amenity package' , (again, it was nothing special & rather, the same for every hotel guest). We waited, for another 10 minutes. It had already been a long day & frankly, many of us found this to be lazy on the check in agents part .. some in our group didn't wait & went to their rooms, because, well, we aren't children & we had a dinner reservation downtown to get to. I get to my room, FINALLY, & found that it was next to the exterior door that opens to the corridor outside and THEN I found out I am in a handicap room, in fact, MOST of our group was placed in handicap rooms. I am also on the first floor and I can hear dogs barking across the hall. My colleague next to me immediately calls me & says she is changing rooms. I said that I don't have time before our business dinner or I'll be late for our driver who is picking us up in 10 minutes.. thanks so much Element check in guy. I SHOULD have not been so kind and went with that 'downgraded amenity King room' ... so much for that. I can not figure out how to bring the blinds down on this large window facing out to the pool patio area so I can safely change! I swear it took me most of the time I had to do a quick change before dinner. I was so irritated with the whole Element experience ! I had been here not even an hour yet all I hear dogs dogs and more dogs!!! Doors doors and slamming doors! The blind has a switch on the wall as you enter; in a handicap room? Seriously. We go to our dinner. We return & the bar, which is actually pretty cool, closes promptly at 10p. It is 'dry January' for me & I wasn't drinking but this is a game weekend so I was very surprised at that in a post pandemic world trying to recoup revenue That it was closed early. There is a large cooler with many wines and drinks available. The front desk staff, isn't very friendly. Had the room been quiet, I would have thought it was nice. I had a very loud full sized refrigerator; microwave; dishwasher and warmer. However, the refrigerator made a loud sound about every 90 minutes, so with the sound of the banging door to the exterior & the dogs yapping, it was impossible to sleep in this loud first floor hotel room. FWIW, I did ask to change rooms & was told no rooms were available without even a glance at the computer. The breakfast bar is great & so are the staff. The outdoor patio is also very nice with lots of fire pits and seating. There are eateries to walk to and Levi Stadium is about a 5 minute walk. The worst part happened on the check out day. Check out is at noon. I was taking a nap after breakfast & most guests had seemingly left the hotel for the game. Our group had been booked with a group rate & advised of a 'late check out' with said group rate. At 1140a my phone in the room started ringing; I ignored it. The staff here called my cell to tell me that check out was at noon & we argued over that. Then my door to my room was being knocked upon. I ignored it; I had a DND on it. THEN the door was being opened. This would happen 5x more with calls until we left @3pm. I even spoke with the manager to address it & my travel coordinator & it still didn't stop! No apologies. Nothing. Needless to stay our group won't book here again. Element has potential but not with our company;too loud &too unapologetic. read more

This was a pretty decent hotel. I like that they had real glasses to drink out of when I had some water. So that's always a plus. The front desk here who checked me in (Red Head, blue eyed woman) was super helpful. I was a little put off by the $15 parking fee. But I feel that way about all hotels that charges parking that's not in a big city like SF, or downtown Seattle. The front desk people after the nice Red Head, was kind of giving one of my guests a hard time for coming over and visiting me. That needs to be worked on. read more

My wife and I stayed here with our dog recently and it was excellent. - Larger-than-average room - Dishes, utensils, and a mini-fridge for takeout/leftovers/drinks - Super comfortable king bed - Responsive temperature control kept things warmer during the day and cool for sleep - No pet fee! - Continental breakfast daily from 7-10 am inclusive of coffee and hot breakfast sandwiches (!) - Adequate, free street just outside the front hotel lot (otherwise it's $15/day) Our only disruption was a loud and vulgar neighbor who woke us up unexpectedly on one of the nights. I had a great 1 night stay here for my birthday. The room was freshly cleaned (the dish washer was even still running upon arriving). I had some guests come by and I noticed the extra security measure they have, being that a key card is required to use the elevator. There is also a bar in the lobby which I thought was cool. I had a good experience here & I wouldn't mind staying here again. Something to make note of though, is that to park a vehicle on the property overnight is a $15 fee. Let me just make it really clear. If I can hear a neighbor snore, definitely not a recommendation for a hotel. The TV sound in your room you could barely hear probably for this reason. You could hear all the doors open and close sounds if you are on the first floor. Perfect view of your room from the pool right by your room, so definitely can not have your curtains up. Room cleaning is upon request. It should be backwards where room cleaning is opted out by request. Definitely not worth the price. Might change review once I do my full stay but highly doubtful read more

I'm disappointed to downgrade my rating to a 2 specifically due to their front end customer service and lack of response to negative Yelp reviews from their corporate office. We have been a Gold Elite Marriott Rewards member for some time now and we enjoy staying at Marriott and Marriott owned hotels. We decided to celebrate my birthday and watch a 49er game this past weekend. This location is a mile and a half away from the Levi's stadium so we decided to stay here again. They are pet friendly and offer free breakfast which consists of eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fruits, toast, muffins and coffee. Upon arrival, we walked directly to the front counter where an employee was working. The male employee had a Tshirt on and no name tag. He was focused on the computer and was typing furiously. We made a couple of gestures to alert him of our presence but he was too busy to acknowledge guests. A second person walked up by name of Luis acknowledged us and said "he will be right with you one second". After the nameless employee finished with his typing he then proceeded with asking us for our information. We even tried to lighten the mood by asking rapport building questions. It's clear by his response that he did not want to be there. We were given our key card and said "I can help who's next". This would have been an okay interaction if you are staying at a motel or have business at the DMV. However, this is Marriott and their standard for customer service was represented poorly by the nameless employee. Typically they will thank you for being a Gold Member. Talk about the benefits of staying at the hotel such as the breakfast and other events taking place. We experienced none of that during this visit and relied solely on Microsoft word typed announcements pasted in the elevators. Once we got in the room. The toilet paper only had a quarter of the toll left. We searched for the replacement which usually is present under the sink. In our case, there was none. We called the front desk and requested for a single roll to replace the one that is almost done. After one hour of waiting, we requested for the toilet paper via the ap as well to see if that would speed up the request. Another 20 minutes pass and we followed up and finally was told one will be sent up. 15 minutes pass by and someone came to drop one off. Every time we left or entered through the front entrance, the staff seem to be busy on their phone or on other matters to simply acknowledge their guests. The quality of service has gone down significantly at this location. It is clear that management may not be explaining the Marriott standard to their employees. The foundational training that you expect staff to have is just not there. It explains why our experience that day was lower than mediocre. This would only have been downgraded to a 3. However after reading several downgrades and similar experiences, you can quickly conclude that Marriott corporate no longer care about customer satisfaction and feedback. It is such a disappointment knowing that the level of customer service has declined due to their expansion to 30 brands and 8000+ properties across 139 states. Stayed here the other night and am very pleased with the stay. The hotel is very clean and modern. The breakfast had limited options but was really good. There were plenty of paid parking spots and some free street parking right out front. Lastly, for a Saturday night stay, the cost was very reasonable! read more

The worst new hotel I've stayed in. When you walk in the lobby, you think you're in a 5 star gem of a hotel. The rooms with kitchenettes are also tastfully designed. Then the noise starts. The hotel is right under the SJC flight path. Planes fly over very low. Even with ear plugs, it's very noisy. The worst part was the thin walls. I mean so thin I heard every word of my neighbors zoom call at 7am. It was like he was behind a curtin instead of a wall. At one point in the night, I heard a loud bang. He must have dropped something like his suitcase on the floor, but considering how think the walls are it was probably just his cellphone. Finally, the breakfast the waits for you is just comprised of frittatas, bread, bagels, and lucky charms. There was coffee, thankfully. I will never stay here again. read more

Great new hotel to recommend to my friends visiting the Bay Area for business. It is super modern, still smells fresh. I love the decoration and the vibe, after all the facilities are brand new (I used to work across the street and there were old office buildings that were demolished, so very nice that the new building modern and for good purpose has been erected!). Receptionists are super friendly and the bar and pool area are really nice. This is also a perfect place to attend seminars and professional meetup gatherings. Great addendum to the hotels pool in Silicon Valley, many of them super outdated. read more

For food- it's sub par. The only advantage is that the lounge is cute, but read on... This used to be the hotel I liked closest to me until they hired a security guard. Or maybe I had just never been there at 10pm to have the security guard berate a single, short, Asian professional woman sitting in the lounge minding her own business. Maybe he was just racist and trying to threaten me. He asked if I was a guest after I had dinner there and he said if I don't have a room, I have to leave. I walked up to speak with the front desk, but they were on the phone for a while and he kept staring at me the whole time so I left and haven't ever been back. I never recommend this hotel to anyone. Why is there even a security guard? For break-ins? For rowdy guests? Focus on the criminals and not the simple introverted guest. This is everything wrong with the crime around here. read more
