Understood -- you want it strong, blunt, and unmistakably negative, but still factual The massage therapist was good. Unfortunately, the front desk experience was so poor that it completely ruined the visit. I had a valid gift certificate purchased for me two years ago that was attached to an email. At checkout, the front desk employee, Nicole, immediately became argumentative instead of helpful. I provided my email, my phone number, my daughter's email, two additional phone numbers, and even spelled the emails out twice. I repeatedly asked for one minute to search my records, and she would not stop interrupting or pressing me. She insisted they "only issue physical gift cards," which was not how mine was purchased. The interaction became confrontational and unprofessional. Eye-rolling, dismissive tone, and refusal to simply pause and look further created an unnecessarily hostile situation. Instead of leaving relaxed after a 90-minute massage, I left feeling pressured and upset. I ultimately paid again just to get out of the building. What makes this worse is that the moment I got to my car, my daughter immediately located the purchase confirmation under the exact email I had provided -- meaning the credit did exist exactly as I said. It is extremely disappointing when the quality of the service inside the room is undone by poor customer service at the front desk. I was blown away by Art's massage therapy which included deep massage that I need with a touch of reflexology. It was truly one of the best massages I've had. Absolutely poor experience! I have a gift card I received from my friends over Christmas. I called in January to book my massage and the scheduler asked for the gift card code to add to my profile which I provided. I came in for my scheduled massage and the therapist was great. I come out to provide my gift card and the front desk person asked for my number, my friend's number and then said the gift card was either used or not actually purchased which is ridiculous. After 20 minutes of her typing and looking she asked me to pay. What a very very poor experience for what was supposed to be relaxing. Whoever took my gift card code at scheduling could have even used it. I asked for her to have her manager call me and she said she would when her manager was in next. Because of this experience she should have advised to call her manager now to figure it out. Awful customer service. Awful documenting practice for this to even happen. So this is a caution to everybody buying gift cards when they have any specials do not buy gift cards from Elements Massage. -------------------- Update for today 4/18/2023 The manager called me and apologized for the issue and refunded the amount that I had to pay because of the gift card confusion. read more

This is the worst elements massage. The first issue was i booked a 90 massage with Natalie and then the next day they told me the system double booked and I wouldn't be able to have the full time so I rebooked for today and the therapist Natalie didn't show up for the 12:00 massage and when they called her she claimed that she thought it was at a later time. The only way they tried to make it up to me is to rebook it for another day and add on free hot stones which I don't even like. For messing up like this multiple times and me wasting my time driving to the studio and waiting 20 mins to be told that she's not coming, that is really a pathetic way to address the issue. This location is really the bottom of the barrel in terms of reliability and customer service. read more

I have been getting massages monthly for years. Unfortunately the therapists have been very hit or miss leaving me with no real desire to go back. I always try someone else. That being said I FINALLY found a therapist that I can write home about. I have seen Melanie 3 times now and each time the massage gets better. She has a great vibe and energy and you can tell she likes what she does. I am now booking every two to three weeks rather than monthly. I have been visiting Elements - Cave Creek for almost 2 years. For most of that time Greg has been my therapist. He is amazing! Very professional and intuitive. He listens to what I want and addresses specific areas where I'm tight or have pain with just the right amount of pressure to give relief and not pain. I have tendinitis in my shoulder and he has helped me to get some relief from the tightness and pain from that. The whole staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I was searching for a prenatal massage in the area and was recommended to Greg at this location. He was amazing! To start things off, the front desk staff was so welcoming and kind! The ambiance of the place was nice and relaxing and the essential oils smell was great! I was super nervous about getting a massage while pregnant, but had been hurting for a few weeks now. I asked Greg specifics about the difference between a normal massage and a prenatal, and he was so knowledgeable. He talked me through every step and made me feel comfortable. I asked for medium to deep pressure, and he was spot on. I left feeling so great! He also recommended when would be best for me to come back based off of my specific issues in my back. As a bonus, there was a Groupon! You can get your first massage for $59 instead of $99. Just don't forget to tip your hard working masseuse for the full amount! It's been a while since my last professional massage. I've heard good things about Elements Massage and have been meaning to check them out. My visit to their new Cave Creek location was my first with this chain. When I called to make my appointment, I had to leave a voicemail. This was understandable as they had only recently opened. I didn't expect a call back from the owner to schedule my appointment though! Karla was extremely professional and helpful. She specifically scheduled my visit with a therapist she recommended for a deep tissue massage. I'm glad she took the time to understand. My last massage was little more than a rub. I ache. I needed a massage. I arrived early, filled out my paperwork and waited in the lobby. The young ladies at the front desk were very friendly and the furniture was very comfortable. I was also offered some water while I waited for my appointment. Dominic was my masseuse today. He met me in the lobby on time and then got to work determining what was ailing me. He even asked how much pressure I would prefer. No one had ever asked me this before. I already had a sense of confidence in his ability. He explained he had about eight years of experience. I believe it. Dominic is good at what he does. He was nothing but professional. From my first contact on the phone, to the end of my visit, I was completely impressed. I have been a member at a few different locations and this was by far the worst experience I have had. I tried four different therapists at this location before finally cancelling, only for them to tell me that they are charging me one more month and I have a month to use any remaining credits I have. But their service is so terrible that I don't want to use any of their therapists so they are basically stealing my money. I saw Mitch two different times, which they upsell him as a "premium" therapist, however he goes so deep that I was in pain the entire 90 minutes. And he spends the entire 90 minutes telling you how awesome he is at his job. When I asked him to lighten up just a bit, he just tells you to breathe through it but will not go lighter. I have breast reconstruction due to breast cancer in 2020 (which was communicated to him prior to the massage), so this was beyond painful. So the next therapist I saw was Lonnie, who does not use enough lotion and basically spent 90 minutes rubbing me raw. Next I had Crystal, who was sweet but forgot various areas of my body, spent way too much time on areas that didn't need massaging and had very very light pressure. My last therapist by far was my most jarring experience. I am not going to call her out by name but she spent the entire 90 minutes telling me about her recent recovery from drugs, the state of her marriage and intimidate details about her children. When I left that night, enough was enough. When I called to cancel my membership, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude when I tried to explain my issues and she ended up hanging up on me. This review is for Ciara. I have been coming here for a few months and she is truly a miracle worker! Her flow, technique, and pressure are the perfect combination. I used to work at a chiropractor that also offered massage therapy. I have probably had over 20 different therapists in the last five years and she is certainly the best I have seen. I asked for my back, neck, and feet. You know I'm pregnant. He didn't touch my neck. Kept the lights on high when I flipped over. It was the biggest waste of time and money. Absolutely horrible. By far the worst massage I have ever received. I had two 1 hour gift cards that I wanted to use. I booked online for a medium level massage. Approximately 30 minutes later, I received a call stating that the person I booked with was a "premium level" masseuse and there would be an up-charge for him. I said that was fine. I figured if he was that good, I would certainly pay for it. He started by letting me know how good he was at this and that he would be able to read my body language. If it was too deep, he would know immediately. I initially thought he was just hitting the pressure points before the massage started. That was not the case. The entire massage was deep, deep pressure points. Even when I yelled ouch several times, he just advised to breathe deep and continued on with the pressure pain. Finally I told him that I could not take anymore and needed to be done. He didn't even flinch, didn't ask why which tells me this isn't uncommon for him to be told. I have had many massages and never experienced anything like this. He never did massage me and then I am charged for a 2 hour massage plus his premium fee. Absolutely horrible. read more

I booked a last minute massage today due to some pretty significant neck pain. I called to explain my issue, the one suggested (hindsight I should have taken that one) was not until at 6:30, but there were 3 different people available sooner. I asked if the 3 which would she suggest based on my issue. She suggested the one that had never received a complaint (upon reading these yelps that was incorrect). But alas I went in filled out the form highlighting again my neck; during the pre consult I again explained the right side of my neck was the issue, told him to focus where he found the problems. So it begins, on the left side, fine due diligence find the problems but spends significant time there then when he goes to the right he stops to use the bathroom mid session. Comes back apologizes says he'll give me that time back but goes back to the LEFT side again. The right side of my neck was worked in for 5 min before he had a family emergency (which I get it happens I hope the family is okay) but he tells me he will give a few more minutes before he has to go deal with it, I tell him the right side of my neck is still bothering me that was the whole point of coming in he feels the spot and says "oh yeah you should stretch that," then tells me he is going to give blood flow to my arms. Earlier in the massage when he was working on my right side upper shoulder (at least closer to the neck) there was a knot so intense that when he did work it out and it popped even he was surprised and let out a "whoa," but then went back to the left side... the woman at the front asked if I wanted to leave gratuity before even asking about my next booking (which I did not book). There was no discount for him having to end early nothing and I'm a wellness member at a different shop. And he only used lotion 2x at the beginning and after his bathroom break... I've been trying to find a new therapist at several different elements since mine left the company I think this is the final straw to cancel that membership. My neck is still aching!!! read more

Decided to check this place out since it is close by and had good reviews. Also, I had a Groupon! Karla, the owner and Jenny the receptionist both greeted me and made me feel right at home. For a strip mall location I was pleasantly surprised to experience an immediate sense of calm! That was the first impression! The experience continued in the private massage setting. Relaxing music, soft lighting and attention to detail by the massage therapist put me right at ease. She explained it's " all about the client" and she can adjust the music volume, lighting, intensity of massage pressure to my liking. Jose provided a relaxing and therapeutic massage. New to Cave Creek but definitely not new to me. We recently moved here from Ventura County, California where there were a local Elements we frequented. This particular location recently opened up and filled the vacancy of choices for quality massages in the Cave Creek area. My husband and I received a couples massage by two therapists who truly did a great job. We signed up for 60-minute massages and although I understand that "dressing time" is part of that 60 minutes, our massages lasted just 40 minutes. We showed up at 1:50 for our 2 o'clock appointment with all of her paperwork already filled out. We were brought back into the room at 2:05 and our massages didn't start until 2:10. Then they ended early at 2:50. My only other criticism was that the room we were in was way too warm to be comfortable; so much so that I had asked the therapist to please stop the massage and turn on the fan. I'm hoping both of these issues are a one-time occurrence as I'm chalking it up to them being new --only open for just a week. We'll be back for sure. UPDATED COMMENT- 10/31. I just received the nicest phone call from Carla the owner, who wanted to follow up on my review and the concerns we had. She could not have been nicer and was very sincere in wanting to make things right! Just had a great couples massage with our therapists Dominic and Tommy. The new location is beautiful, with tons of room, and a great couples massage room. Dominic was great promoting circulation, range of motion, and gave a great sports massage. Tommy did a wonderful job working with my fiancés next injury and did really good detailed work on her spine and neck. This was my second visit. The first time was great but this time was most probably the worst massage ever. I went for a 90 minutes massage to relax and ask pressure level 1 to 2. The massage pressure was so painful that I had to ask for lower pressure as I was in pain. The masseur did not change anything and why I was for 90 minutes in pain and discomfort I tried to convince myself that I will get the benefits afterwards. I could have said something at check out but it was awkward to say that in front of everyone. Now days after the massage my entire body is hurting like bruising ... I will not be back as it seems the masseur can not adapt to the customer's request nor read pain ! Too bad. read more

I've been having a lot of neck pain lately that has led to not being able to sleep & horrendous migraines. I knew I needed to get in to Elements asap. This is my favorite location. Ive seen John many times here over the last couple years & he is amazing, especially with deep tissue and increasing my flexibility. He wasn't available tonight and I couldn't wait. I trust the ladies at the front desk with whatever they recommend. I saw Hailey tonight for a much needed 90 min session. She did exactly what I needed. I needed a much lighter touch than usual and I needed my neck, shoulders, and jaw focused on. She did a fantastic job. Seriously feels like magic how much more relaxed my neck and jaw feels.
