I'm not sure where to begin. I had a gift card for Xmas, I brought and use at Shea location. However, It was purchase at another location. I ask if they would accept the GC. They said they would, so I decided to get a service there (Aug 7th 2023). Long sorry short. They took my GC and also changed my CC for my service. They never bother to call or return my GC. We are trying to dispute the charge and they have not cooperated. My friend who bought the GC has been a loyal client w Element Massage for a long time, she also referred her friends to them. I would never recommend anyone to EM on Shea. The service wasn't that great. Front desk person should had told me or call me about this situation.. now it about 2 months and NO WORDS from them. I ended up looking like a Yeti in the forest, foraging for nuts and berries. My son made me a birthday appointment for 90 minutes of heaven in these tired, old, COVID-ridden bones. I had not received a massage in over a year and was a bit nervous that my therapist would beat me up. I was lucky enough to get Marshella, who is a Medical Massage Therapist. Y'all. There IS a difference! After spending a few minutes hearing my history, it was time to get nekkid and make some bad decisions. Marshella was absolutely wonderful! She was careful around problem areas and kept me company the entire 90 minutes by telling me what she was finding and how it was helping me to loosen a year's worth of tension and pain. We laughed and laughed... and I could feel the benefits of her experience. I didn't want the session to end. The crux of it was what she did to my Texas hair at the very end! She got all up in my business and found knots in my silly head! I couldn't believe how thorough she was and I felt absolutely wonderful. The ladies at the front desk needed Dr. Phil at this point. After sharing my success story, I happened to glance at my reflection in the mirror. Marshella did a number on my hair! My head massage transported me to Valhalla but I looked like a Yeti! Thankfully, the front desk ladies were kind and generous, telling me I could walk the runway. I love these girls. It's a warm, welcoming place with people who have a heart. I consider myself a massage connoisseur as I have them regularly. I was skeptical at first since this is a chain and I usually go to privately owned places. However a friend recommended it so I gave them a try. First off I must say their front desk staff is THE friendliest, most kind and warm-hearted desk staff I've met at any local business. Secondly, Nick, the massage therapist I regularly see, is a born healer. He has such intuition, pays attention to your requests and checks in frequently to ensure he is meeting your needs. He is a scintillating conversationalist if you feel like chatting but can also maintain silence if you want to just float on the bliss. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. We just relocated to Scottsdale from New Mexico and we needed to find regular massage therapists. I tried three before finding Cynthia at Elements on Shea and she is my person. She is relatively new to massage therapy but she has natural abilities and I am feeling relieved to have found her. Cynthia has gifted hands and I would describe her comfort level as light to medium. Soothing while still working on problem areas. While in the process of moving, I had a few bumps and bruises along the way and Cynthia was mindful and careful as she navigated my special situation. A few months ago I posted a review after having not such a great experience at elements. I was contacted by a manager at this location, she was extremely nice and apologetic that my experience wasn't up to my expectations. She offered us a free couples massage, and asked if we could give them another chance. I was extremely impressed that she took the time to do all of this. My husband and I went back and had a completely different experience. Our therapists were friendly, had great energy and did an amazing job. We left feeling extremely relaxed, happy and grateful for the experience. I would absolutely recommend giving elements a try. This facility refused to participate with the gift of glow gift card even though they are listed on the website and I showed them the website that shows that they are a participating Element Massage location. The manager was called and the manager said they never heard of it and they don't accept them. They didn't even try to utilize the merchant directions to check the gift card. The receptionist who was there talked to the manager twice and the manager seemed infuriated over the phone that I was even asking about using this gift card when he had already said that they don't participate. I also contacted giftofglow.com and they said that they are a participating location and they should have accepted my gift card. They tried to falsify my statement on Google that they accept gift cards for their location, however it's already been verified that the gift card was wrongly denied. I'm a regular of getting massages before moving to Scottsdale from Ohio. I understand the therapeutic nature of them. My wife is generally less interested. Saturday this week I was at a loss for what to get my wife for her birthday. She's tough to buy, for so I decided on a massage for her and her girlfriend. My wife has been working out a lot and her friend went on her first long hike Sunday on South Mountain with us. Anyhow the gift idea saved my butt, because my wife and her friend were beyond satisfied with their experiences. They made me look good. If think my wife is willing to get regular massages. I'm looking forward to getting in there myself next. The best part was that they had openings on her birthday, less than 24 hours from when I called, in the morning, and on a holiday. read more

Outstanding service, it wasn't your ABC massage but one where the masseuse truly listened to your needs and went above and beyond to meet them. I came in for a massage not for relaxation, but relief from the neck and back pain I had been experiencing. Ivan (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly)talked me through the problem areas/muscles causing the pain and worked them intensely during my time there. For the first night in days, I finally slept through the night without pain. He gave recommendations to further help with the soreness and pain following my appointment. Now, I'm only in Scottsdale for two more weeks, but you can best believe I'll do my best to get another appointment with him before I leave. I confess ... I did schedule a couples' massage next Friday as a surprise for my fiancé, who is coming in town to visit me heheh You can't top people who are not only talented, but also kind within their craft. I have been going to this massage studio for years and I love their professionalism, level of care and value. My therapist is Kerri and she is the best deep tissue therapist I have ever had, anywhere. In fact, she also works on my husband, who was an athlete, is very tall with lots of muscle mass and would present a challenge for any therapist. He also agrees that her therapeutic massages are exceptional. I highly recommend this studio. read more

After having a bad experience a few weeks ago, the manager of Elements called me to ask about what happened. She graciously offered to let me come back at no charge and correct the experience. I saw Jessica who was waiting at the desk when I walked in. She was awesome -- kept the conversation to a minimum so we could get started but also let me know that everything (temp, light, music) could be changed. I found Elements Therapeutic Massage when I was doing a search on Spa Finder (I had a gift certificate). I read a few reviews and the accolades they received, so I decided to try it out. I am a fan of their membership plan which includes a $0 membership fee and a health care plan that works with your needs. I prepay for a reduced rate for a 55 minute massage, scheduled regularly once a month. The best part is that if I need to go more than once a month, I would still pay the same reduced rate. The staff at Elements are friendly and professional. I appreciate their automated email appointment reminders, accompanied with a personal phone call. I heard of Elements on Shea through Arizona Spa Girls a while ago but had never been there before. When I was in dire need of a massage last night (around 4:30pm), I decided to call and see if they had any openings at all. When I called they were incredibly professional and kind and were able to fit both me and my boyfriend in for appointments at 7pm. So convenient and helpful! We arrived a few minutes early to fill out some first-timer paperwork, and were very impressed immediately by the cleanliness and tranquility of this beautiful little shop. We both received 55-min. massages at the introductory $59 rate and were more than relaxed when we left. Definitely one of the best massages I've had in a while! I've been going to this Elements for many years and have always been very happy with the owners, staff, and practitioners! I highly recommend a membership, as this has helped me stay on a monthly schedule and is the best deal financially. What has prompted me to actually write a review, however, is my new therapist Brooke. She is absolutely excellent! Great place...great massages. We did a a 90 minute couples massage for $200 total- very affordable for the neighborhood. This is similar to what I can find in LA all day long. Everyone was very welcoming and the owner who works the front desk gave some local dinner recommendations. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely book a massage here. read more
