Came here after a long week and needed to relax. Of course, I searched Yelp for good massage places in the city and came across this place after reading all the amazing reviews. It's easy to book online, and the website is great because you can see the therapists' availability and their names. I ended up calling and booking over the phone, and they sent me a text message with all the appointment details. Once I arrived, they are located on the second floor with both stairs and elevator access. The inside was clean and had a nice vibe that made me feel like I was out of the country. My therapist was Maye, and she was amazing! I got a Swedish massage, and she made me feel so relaxed. She asked if the pressure was good and listened to what I wanted. Overall, this is an amazing place and I definitely recommend giving them a try. I'll definitely be back! read more

I've been coming to Thai wat pho massage for 4 years. I usually go every few months when I have a horrible migraine. I feel soo relieved afterwards and the migraines go away after a few hours since I come home and nap afterwards. I feel rested and much better a few hours later. If you do Thai massage, the pressure is a lot more intense than a deep massage so don't be scared to speak up if it's too much pressure since they will accommodate your preference! read more

This was my first time trying a Thai massage!! My mom and I visited this afternoon and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had an appointment for one 90 minute and another 60 minute traditional Thai massage. Both of our masseuses were great! The best way I can explain it is kind of like a mix between a deep tissue massage and a stretching class. They bend you and move your arms and legs continuously throughout the session to get every angle of the sticky spots. We throughly enjoyed our massages and will be back!! read more

The place is very clean inside, with comfy couches and chairs. Water, tea and a candy dish is available for guests. Staff is friendly and responsive. I've been going for about a year now to see Meena. I've had only positive experiences. Meena has good listening skills, a variety of technical skills (Thai/Deep, etc) and the ability to apply as much or as little pressure as feels helpful. She also has a kind disposition, which makes the overall experience more pleasant. I highly recommend Thai Wat Pho Massage! read more

This place was a great experience and by far the best massage I ever had. My boyfriend and I saw Mina and Mai and they were so helpful. It's been a while since we had a Thai massage so of course we were very tight and tense but these ladies were able to get us right. All of the tension I had in my shoulders went away. I feel so much better. The owner greeted us when we walked in and she was super nice. I could tell off the bat this place would be great! Very clean and relaxing. Wow - loved my massage here by Joo! It's been like FOUR? long months since I've had a massage so... YAYS *Greeted at the front desk immediately *Led into a comfortable waiting area & offered water/tea/chocolate *Joo, my therapist, was super friendly & gave me an intense Swedish/Thai combo *She kneeled on the backs of my legs & manipulated my body in ways that accessed pain points to release them (the difference between "regular" & Thai massage is the therapist gets on the table to use her weight) *She wiped off oil with hot towels after she was done, so my clothes wouldn't get oily, & also incorporated steam from hot towels into massage *The towels smelled like mint - yum! *The salon/room are impeccably clean NAYS *The only comment I have here is that Joo never got to my feet, but I think she was focused on my back shoulders, which were seriously knotted up P.S.. Kate was very considerate in focusing on my shoulders, which have been giving me the most trouble. I especially appreciated her willingness to tailor the session, as many other massage locations I have visited in the past were not as flexible in adjusting their standard approach to target a specific area. First off, the interior decoration of the place is nice. They offer Swedish, Thai, foot, and deep tissue massages. They also offer couple messages. They accept walk ins and appointments. A 60 minute massage can go for $70-$80. Note that if you're a first time customer, you get 15% off. I decided to try something new by trying a combination of a Thai and Swedish massage. I tried to ask about my masseuse about what to expect but it was clear that her command of the English language was not very good. It was through this experience that I found that I truly value communication during a massage session. Early this year I was struggling with back and hip pain. Nothing seemed to resolve the problem. I decided to try some massage visits. After months of unrelenting pain the massages started to give me relief. I visited once or twice a week, making sure I always had the same person. Fern. 3.8 rating.. I really enjoyed the cleanliness of this space, and the staff was so so friendly and kind! After our massage we were made hot tea to sit and enjoy with no rush which was great. I love that they offer couples massage which is the service my boyfriend & I went in for. I give it a 3.8 simply because I personally would've wanted a bit more from the massage, we did get the traditional Swedish treatment so maybe I could've gone for a deep tissue but overall I would recommend this place and even possibly visit again. read more

They were able to give me an appointment with 60 minutes notice, and responded to my Yelp inquiry within less than 5 minutes. The facility is nicely decorated, tranquil and clean. I had the 60 minute combination Thai/deep tissue massage with added Hot Stones. The masseur's name was Michael, and he was attentive to my medical issues, and found the tight/sore spots in my back without needing very much direction. After the massage, I had a cup of hot tea in their comfortable lounge area. Overall, the nice facility and Michael's expert care added up to an excellent massage experience. read more

Years ago I worked at a Massage ‍ Envy in Seattle and since then have always liked to take sort of gear down with a nice 90 min massage. Escaping a bit and relaxing here at Thai Wat Pho has been great! I have tried a couple of different therapists and both were great. Super nice and clean place with an easy check-in at front desk. It's a little more Expensive but you get a much better massage than most places in AZ. Only wish they had one in the west side haha. read more

I have tried different massagers in the valley and I think I finally found a good one. Fawn was my massager both times. I asked for Thai and deep tissue massage w/maximum pressure because I struggled w/a leg injury for 2 years. After a few different doctors (chiropractor, sports medicine, acupuncturist, and physical therapy) and many doctors' visits, I no longer expect much improvement. Due to the pain, I often feel tired during the day and decided to "just get a massage". I let TWP know as out my injury and honestly didn't expect much since I have had massages before but did Fawn surprised me. My leg muscles were more relax after my first visit so I went back for another one the week after. It turned out to be the relief I need. Glad TWP isn't too far from home so I will definitely come back. read more

I am changing my overall rating to 4/5 due to the hassle and frustration I originally had to deal with. That said, management and ownership did the right thing. Bad experiences (or just bad fits) can happen, but the difference between a good business and a bad one is what management and ownership do to address those issues. 5 stars to management and ownership, 5 stars to Trang, and 4 stars overall given my specific experience. I can comfortably recommend this location, as long as you are willing to speak up if you don't get what you deserve. After my first experience, I would not have considered this location in the future. After management/ownership intervened, and after my experience with Trang, I can confidently say I will return, and if my experience is anything like the one I had with Trang, I'll be happy to follow up with a 5-star review.

I'm…read moredisappointed with my experience at Thai Royal Massage & Spa in Scottsdale and feel it's important to share for others who may be considering going. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for myself and 3 girlfriends. At the time of booking, I made it clear we had not decided on services yet and wanted to choose when we arrived. The night before, they called and left a voicemail confirming us for 90-minute massages, which was never agreed upon. I immediately called back and clarified that we were still coming, but only wanted 60-minute massages and would choose our exact services when we got there. They confirmed that was fine. When we arrived, I signed us in and specifically wrote "combo" because I was interested in their combination reflexology. Before my massage even started, I clearly told my masseuse I wanted the combo reflexology, and she acknowledged it. However, the massage I received was not reflexology at all there was no foot soak and barely any foot work, which is standard at every reflexology place I've been to. On top of that, during the massage they were extremely pushy about extending our sessions another 30 minutes (making it 90 minutes total). I was asked twice, and all 3 of my friends were also pressured to extend. We all declined. At checkout, I noticed I was being charged significantly more than expected. When I asked, they told me they gave me the "combo body massage" instead of the "combo reflexology." That was never what I asked for. Instead of taking accountability or trying to correct their mistake, they did nothing. To make matters worse, their tipping system feels very uncomfortable and aggressive. They present tip options starting around 30-38% and hold the payment screen right in front of you, creating unnecessary pressure. Overall, the entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and focused on upselling rather than customer service. I take responsibility for not being more confrontational in the moment, but not everyone is comfortable speaking up, and businesses should not rely on that. I discovered Thai Wat Pho a few weeks ago and had such a great experience with my masseuse, Pinky, I just had to go back. I have had hundreds of massages, sometimes as often as once a week when I am training for an Ironman, and other times just for pure relaxation after a stressful week. I honestly have never felt better after a massage than this second time with Pinky. I don't know if it's because she remembered me from last time and knew where my problem areas were or if she is just that intuitive, but I came away feeling profoundly peaceful and energized, and that feeling lasted into the next day. The Thai Wat Pho staff is nice and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxing and serene. I don't write reviews very often, but the salon in general, and Pinky in particular, were just too great not to let people know what I found. I will definitely return. read more

I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for myself and 3 girlfriends. At the time of booking, I made it clear we had not decided on services yet and wanted to choose when we arrived. The night before, they called and left a voicemail confirming us for 90-minute massages, which was never agreed upon. I immediately called back and clarified that we were still coming, but only wanted 60-minute massages and would choose our exact services when we got there. They confirmed that was fine. When we arrived, I signed us in and specifically wrote "combo" because I was interested in their combination reflexology. Before my massage even started, I clearly told my masseuse I wanted the combo reflexology, and she acknowledged it. However, the massage I received was not reflexology at all there was no foot soak and barely any foot work, which is standard at every reflexology place I've been to. On top of that, during the massage they were extremely pushy about extending our sessions another 30 minutes (making it 90 minutes total). I was asked twice, and all 3 of my friends were also pressured to extend. We all declined. At checkout, I noticed I was being charged significantly more than expected. When I asked, they told me they gave me the "combo body massage" instead of the "combo reflexology." That was never what I asked for. Instead of taking accountability or trying to correct their mistake, they did nothing. To make matters worse, their tipping system feels very uncomfortable and aggressive. They present tip options starting around 30-38% and hold the payment screen right in front of you, creating unnecessary pressure. Overall, the entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and focused on upselling rather than customer service. I take responsibility for not being more confrontational in the moment, but not everyone is comfortable speaking up, and businesses should not rely on that. I left feeling taken advantage of, and unfortunately, they've lost our business. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

I had a really awesome massage from the lady, got her name, and received their card, but when I got home I discovered there was like a stamp program thing on the back of the card and they didn't provide that lol. The next time I got a massage, I asked for two hours and they didn't make me pay in advance. I got another lady and she started off really bad by slapping my neck around that I was just about to ask for someone else and then it got better as she actually massages me. She was good for the most part, but then I noticed she was on her phone while she was massaging me. You know, the one handed massage. The buzz of the phone. The clicking of her typing? Now you shouldn't do that at all, but I can understand if you need to do a quick read and reply text since--stuff happens. But she was constantly on it so I stopped the massage and she was surprised. I told her I was stopping the massage because she was on the phone and she looked shocked and apologized. She told me it would be a 90 minute massage charge which I said fine, but when I got home, I realized it has only been like a maybe 75 minute massage. So not only did she make me cut the massage short when I wanted two hours, but she over charged me! I still tipped well, but I was a little annoyed. I got her name and then asked for the prior girl's name so I could book with that girl again. The one thing she did do for me was mark my card twice to reflect my first service so I appreciated that. It really does depend who you get! The third time I went back to the first girl and had a 90 minute massage which was pretty good again. I wanted to go back the next day, but got busy so now I'll be going back today:). Because of the second girl, I had to lower my stars and honestly, I would have lowered it to three, but that really isn't fair to the business since most people don't take the time to read the reason why so thats why it's four stars. If it hasn't been for that second lady, I would have given this five stars since I had great massage at very reasonable costs. There's ample parking outside. It's quiet with great relaxing soft music playing. Massage oil is okay--not too smelly. The first girl is very thorough in her massage and I appreciate that as that is rare.
