The hallway is lit up on the left with pretty rocks and light. It sets the scene. The bathroom is cute and decorated nicely. Our massage room has our two tables and it was decorated nice too. The massage beds are warmed, so it's nice and toasty when you get it. You can be totally naked or wear whatever you're comfortable with. The massage was amazing and the pressure was perfect. Definitely better than the last massage I got. My only complaint is the loud ticking clock on the wall. The music was comforting and relaxing, but the clock is so loud. They should invest in one that is quiet. Well update- the night I went home my left knee started to hurt and it's been hurting ever since. My husband heard it all the way to the other side of the room too, so it was pretty loud which kind of takes away from that zen feeling. But that's really the only con. From the first drive up, I had a feeling this wasn't my typical spa massage from our cruises or…read morevacations. The business address dropped me into a strip mall with a simple sign that said "massage" and no specific naming. I opened the door to a rousing chiming of multiple bells on the door, looked left and saw a sewing machine ready for action. Hmm...is this the right place? I faint voice called from the back saying ..."you here for the 11 o'clock? Why you not ask for one hour? Only half hour not a lot of time." I apologized as I didn't know how booked she may be, and calling the morning of, often you take what you can get. She guided me into a room decorated on light pink motif and I happened to notice steel pipes hanging from the ceiling forming a "rack" over the massage table...yep this was no spa treatment... I quickly disrobed and got comfortable under my thin massage sheet and waited for Miss Julie to enter. I quickly reviewed my issues with my tight hips, glutes and back. I happened to look over to the table next to me at what could be described as a masochist kit at best. There were blades, knobs and clubs all ready to go. Oh lord.... I laid face down and I could sense Julie climbing up and grabbing the steel poles above the table and starting to use pressure of her toes and heels to work free tension across most all of my body. It felt amazing. So far so good. Often she would find extra tension points, which would cause her to go into her kit and grab a blade and begin scraping out the striations of tissue on tissue to get separation. It looked like the next appointment wasn't showing so I was able to bonus an extra 30 minutes. Julie continued to seek out tension areas and attacked them like a predator after prey. I completed my massage feeling 100 times better than when I walked in and pledged to Julie that I would be back next week. It's not much to look at walking up, and is NOT a relaxation spa experience, but if you need deep tissue massage and want someone to work you over good, Julie is your gal!

BUUUUT, I always give brownie points for good people and good service so lets go with 4! We came there and currently of course as they're still undergoing upgrades and renovations their potential is yet TBD. Ambiance wise, not counting the on going renovations the current available rooms seems to be clean but unfortunately tiny. The first thing that stood out for me is the scent of chinese food that made me and my husband hungrier (so thats not bad) but they did mention also selling food eventually. If the time does come, I am down for trying out their food. However, in terms of exp, it does take away a little bit away from the relaxation. Some sort of aromatherapy scent would be nice. Music is fine and relaxing enough. So far, it seems like a family owned business. The people are very nice and accommodating they've taken note of my injuries and had avoided it so I appreciate about that. Technique wise, they're okay. Definitely worked on my shoulders that was apparently really sore. However, it would be cool to refine their techniques more. I really was surprised with the warm towel in the middle of it. Another experience enhancement is offering something (aside from water) like tea before or after the massage. Definitely will come back and will look forward to see the final form of the spa!

After a long week, it was nice to fine a place to escape the stresses of day to day life. I didn't call ahead but I was greeted by cheerful therapists. They were able to immediately accommodate me for a 1 hour session with free tiger balm. I never tried that before but now, I expect it to be the gold standard for any future massage I get and I will be asking for it. It has been a couple of days now and I think the quality of the massage allowed for optimal recover after long hours of sitting at the computer and long distance running during my work outs. I believe the therapist was named CiCi, like CiCi's Pizza. I think for the cleanliness, spaciousness of the rooms, politeness of staff, and quality, it will be hard to beat in price.
