I had a very relaxing massage by Daniela the other evening. She was very sweet and made sure to make my experience great! This place is set up with the rooms all down one hallway, as well as the bathrooms at the very end of the hall. So to get to the bathroom, you have to walk past all the rooms with clients in them. Usually there's some kind of a "be quiet" sign at other spa businesses, to allow for a quiet and relaxing service for everyone, but I did not see one when I opened the door to go down the hallway. And at one point, in the middle of my service, there was a loud conversation taking place in the hallway that kind of interrupted my relaxation. I think the addition of a quiet sign or a different set up could be better for guest experiences. read more

I was told that they needed to prep the room for the next guest if that's going to be the case then advertise and charge it as a 45 minute massage not as a one hour massage, misleading The review before mine made me laugh. I would NOT recommend scheduling a massage here. I made an appointment. I drive the 15 minutes to get there and walk in. I wait while receptionist was handling payment from another. I did not have my phone to access because I was driving and missed a call 20 minutes before appointment that my therapist had a flat tire and wasn't coming. the receptionist said are you checking in. I said yes and teo hour with Raul. she said I called you Sorry 20 minutes or less before I show up is really not right. And that was that. the purpose of the appointment both ways and I will not ever return. They Supposably gave me 3 calls which I never received and didn't seem apologetic at all. Not a huge fan of the receptionist that booked my appointment. Her tone of voice and attitude was not welcomed when I opted to give her information of me being gifted a massage. She gave me an odd feeling, almost as if I was an inconvenience. When I visited, she was fine, aside from touching my head with the temp scanner. In terms of cleanliness with COVID, there was nothing posted about the measures they were taking to prevent spread. The receptionist did not seem vigilant about cleanliness, but I was only sitting there for a few minutes. My massage was awesome. The masseuse, Randy, listened to my needs and focus areas, and was able to target them well. He seemed knowledgeable about the human anatomy and was able to assist with areas I have been having pain for quite some time. I was provided advice on a stretch to assist with the muscle tightness, and felt well taken care of. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had getting a massage and with customer service. I booked my session online. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my start time as I was told to do when I booked. When I checked in, the receptionist started asking very personal questions as to why I was there and being treated for. They were running late so my massage started about 5 minutes late but ended early. On my intake form it asked if I had any medical issues, I provided my medical issues. My masseuse asked if I was taking my medication for my conditions. First of all, that is none of their business, second of all I am because if I wasn't I would die. I told him yes, I was taking my medication and he said "good because there are things I could do to you on this table that could literally kill you". I do not care who you are talking to or what the context is, that is one of the most inappropriate things that has ever been said to me and it made me feel very uncomfortable. It is not their place to be giving out medical advice. When I was done with my massage, I went back out to check out. I was given a gift card to this place so I used that for payment. I left gratuity and then was told that it would also be an extra $10 because my masseuse was "elite-level". I was not made aware of the extra charge that when booking with him, but whatever, I just wanted to get out of there. The receptionist from the beginning stopped helping me because someone else came up needing to be checked out asap because the masseuse and receptionist did not communicate on a schedule change. I also had somewhere to be and as someone who has worked in customer service, you don't stop to help someone else. The receptionist informed that the gift card was not working but I should leave and she would give me a call when they figured it out and she kept the gift card. I got a call later that day saying they would charging my card and when I asked to speak with a manager, there was not a manager in the building. I called the next day asking to speak with a manager and told them what happened and they said that my card had been refunded and I would see it within 3-5 days. I waited the 5 days and called back because I had yet to see my refund. They were dismissive and did not seem to care at all. Horrible costumer service and staff, I feel violated and hurt. I will be talking with my bank to get my refund, but wow I hope nobody makes the same mistake I did and books with this establishment. read more

Holy moly, I had a fantastic experience tonight! I actually bought my massage on Groupon, which is always hit or miss when you actually go to use it. They were very receptive and even offered to honor the groupon price for a six month time frame...of course I took advantage of that! If I signed up for membership tonight, I also got my Massage free (so I still have another free massage) and I get a 30 minute Massage for my birthday! Great deals!! I had a GREAT massage from a female therapist tonight; I already forgot her name but she was a petite blonde woman. She was amazing!! Firm but not painful, which is always a tough balance for me. She also told me she is a Reiki master and I can ask to have that incorporated in my next massage; very excited to try this! Customer service at the front was great (Angie helped me, I believe) and I thought she was very friendly. My one downfall was that I thought it was a bit hard to find once I got into the complex. DeWayne was thorough in his questions and set me up with the most perfect masseuse, Shiva. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of. The atmosphere relaxes you in itself. Shiva did an AMAZING job and hit every single area that I discussed with her prior. She used oils and hot stones. I became so relaxed, I almost felt asleep on her mid conversation! What I DID NOT expect was her to give me a handful of tips and stretches specific to me based on what she felt during the massage to help my body after the massage was complete. I am sorry to say I didn't really enjoy my massage. I had a groupon and made an appointment with Beverly. The website doesn't have their massage therapists posted; therefore, I went on Yelp to see what kind of reviews who had. People seemed to like her so I made the appointment. The receptionist is quite friendly. I must say the waiting room is a bit crowded with all the "stuff" they have on the tables. I think it makes it look cluttered. Definitely need to get rid of some of it. Makes for bad energy. On to my massage. Beverly asked what kind of massage I wanted. I said "medium to heavy." She said "deep tissue?" I said, "Yes, medium to deep tissue." She proceeded by doing something that hurt. Later I found out she was pinching me. At least, that's what she said she was doing. Pinching in a massage???? New one on me. Then she starting pressing really hard on my shoulder blade, right at the part that sticks out the most. I told her that hurt as well, and I told her it was my bone. (I gather she thought it was a knot in my muscles.) Nope. It was my bone. Told her it was my bone. She said, "That's your scapula." Great. Good to know. She still kept pressing on it. Yes, it's my bone and it STILL hurts! I mean, I know I don't have any body fat in my upper body, especially around my shoulders, but when I tell you it's my bone, guess what?? It's my bone! I was surprised she didn't have my flip over to my back to do my legs. I mean, that's what all the other massage therapists do. Nope. Did it with me laying on my stomach only. I got a groupon for my husband and myself to get a massage as a mother's day present/birthday present. Our massage therapists Susan and Theresa were professional and did a wonderful job. We were very happy with our massages. When we went to check out, we left a 20% tip for both of them. The woman at the check out offered us a monthly special. I pollitly said no thank you, not at this time. She then explained the deal again and I agreed it was a great savings. She finally asked why we didn't want the monthly membership so I had to explain to her that I'm a teacher and can't afford it. After working with a couple of massage therapists at this location, I found Obie, who is an intuitive therapist with a caring heart. He makes the experience amazing each and every time. He zeroes in on the pain points and really works on my body, which is usually all in knots. I am moving away from the area and have submitted my written request to cancel my membership, so let's hope these other reviews don't hold true and they take my cancellation to heart! I was so impressed with this Elements salon. I have been to the one in Arcadia, but this one is even more beautiful with a cool Zen feel...and so clean. The staff was ultra-professional. I was asked to fill out a short form and soon I met with Shawn, the massage therapist. I cannot say enough about how wonderful he is. Such skill and talent. He obviously knows anatomy well as he not only expertly massaged me, but also stretched me out. He was professional and nice, and knew exactly what to do to relieve stress. I highly recommend not only this massage studio, but specifically Shawn. He is a real miracle worker and takes the art of massage to a whole new level. I have been an elements massage member for over a year and really enjoyed it. That is until I moved and started going to the Tatum and Shea location. They are very adamant that you have to cancel at your original location and sign up with them which I've heard is untrue. They will not allow you to transfer credits from another location. I had to have my original location called him multiple times to make them use my credit. The customer service is awful, especially over the phone. they don't seem to know or care what they're doing......they mumble and are hard to understand. There is an online booking system but apparently when you do that it's just a request and not an actual reservation, so I showed up for a massage and they told me I did not have one. many times when I called no one answers the phone. The only reason I gave two stars is because most of the massage therapists I've had have been very good. I feel bad for them that the front desk is driving away business. I plan on canceling my membership soon..... but I expect it will be a battle! read more

I flew in to AZ from SLC, UT and I needed a massage badly. I have a membership with Elements Massage and I booked an appointment near my hotel in the Scottsdale area. My therapist was Obie and I had the BEST massage. This gentleman was simply amazing. I have a severe impingement in my shoulder and I had full range of motion by the end of the session. He is able to provide a PERFECT balance of therapeutic techniques with absolute calming relaxation. I will definitively be booking with Obie the next time I'm in town and am seriously jealous of those who live in the area and are able to utilize his services on a regular basis. read more

My Elderly (85) Step-mom was in a lot of pain, so I told her to try Elements at Tatum & Shea. She did not know what to expect, but liked the treatment and continued to go for 6 months or so. Jan 17th she went into an old Folks home and we sold her car. Feb 2, 2017 there was a credit card charge for $59? Upon questioning Elements, they said she had signed up for a membership. My step-mom said "NO, she had not signed up for a membership"! She did not cancel the contract when she went into the home ...BECAUSE SHE DID NOT BELIEVE SHE HAD ANY CONTRACT! We explained the matter to Elements and that she was elderly and does not understand complicated situations due to her age and asked them to refund the $59 charge, as she would not be coming back and that she had not agreed to any contract. Elements said, No. The Moral of this story...if your elderly and in pain, don't go to Elements Message at Tatum & Shea and if you do...don't agree to any contracts and hold on to your wallet! Better just go to Massage Envy or some other place that does not take advantage of old folks! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Timothy (Tim). I will honestly say, I wasn't sure what to expect on my first visit with him, but he far surpassed my expectations. I am am member at Elements and have been for years. I've gone through only a few therapists; one left, not sure where she went, and the other became a flight attendant and the few others really don't deserve to be mentioned. With that being said, I was left floundering around from location to location trying to find a good therapist. It has happened! Finally! I have problems with my shoulders from working on my computer most of the day so I'm always tense and achy there. This was my first time in a very long time leaving a 90 minute session and feeling no pain in my shoulders. Tim is excellent! I hesitate to write this review for fear of him becoming too popular and not having time for me, but he deserves this and anyone reading this deserves to see him! Enjoy! read more

I love getting massages so i went into elements today just to ask about the pricing and if there was any thing open. I was asking a young lady about it and out of no where came this older lady with a small dog yelling at her telling her she was the manager and she had to do whatever she said. I don't know what her problem was it was very akward and embarrassing to stand there while the poor girl is getting yelled at for what apeared no reason. I will not return to this was place very unprofessional! I have been a manager before and that is not a way to talk to anyone! Also you take it to the back and fix the problem! i looked around to see if anyone else had notice the fighting and everyone was just awkwardly trying to ignore it! If I had to review the massage itself I would rate it 5 stars. Gina was my therapist and she did an incredible job. Unfortunately I did not care for the high pressure sales tactics of the business. I had bought a groupon a few months ago and almost forgot about it. I booked my massage before the Groupon expired. As soon as I checked in they have a person sit down with you to go over membership and packages. The girl that did that was very nice. I didn't have a problem with her at all. I told her and the other front desk people that I had a membership somewhere else so I was not interested in signing up. The girl who presented me the membership info left me alone. However after my massage one of the other front desk ladies (the manager?) started asking me questions about my membership at the other place and really putting the pressure on to quit my existing membership and join them. I felt very uncomfortable. Not a good way to end a relaxing massage! read more

That is why I am giving three stars, even though my sole experience with this place has been negative so far and warrants a one star, it would not be fair, because I have not experienced a massage here... Coming to this page on Yelp, I read: "$44 for $89 deal.." I interpreted that as: I pay $44 and receive $89 worth of service. If you check their website, it states that an 80 minute massage costs $89. So I assume this all means that I pay $44 for an 80 minute massage. Perfect! Well, I call them and was told that the $89 dollar deal is actually for a one hour massage. That is their deal. $89 for one hour. So that means $44 will only cover one hour. The receptionist states that she will give me the 80 minute for $65 but the massage is a bit later in the afternoon, and I was looking for something earlier. By this point, I had already given her my CC# on the phone to hold the spot, but I am glad I clarified with her the final cost. I was feeling a bit confused but soon realized where the misunderstanding was. It was in the wording of the Yelp 'deal'. I explained what I thought I would get for the $44, and that I was not interested in the massage anymore, but was sure to remain polite and thank her for her time. This is when the problems begin... The receptionist was really really trying to get me booked. Really trying. Too hard. Uncomfortably hard. She just could not understand that I was not interested in that offer any longer. By the time I finally convinced her that I was not interested, she scoffed and said, "alright." I got off the phone feeling all sorts of bad vibes and uneasiness. I didn't necessarily NEED a massage before, but now I feel that I NEED one just to relax. Luckily, I feel a bit better after writing this review.
