So, I'm not one to give low reviews on a place I've never even received the massage at but here it goes. I have a Groupon voucher from April 2021 that I never got to use and fast forward today, I found the voucher. On the voucher, it states, "The amount paid for this voucher ($59.20) with Elements Massage San Antonio NEVER EXPIRES. The promotional value expires April 20, 2021." So I called to see if I could book a massage and the lady on the phone was telling me that they don't take Groupon and can't accept that voucher. Now, I understand that I can't use it for the 90 min promotional massage anymore but I did expect to be able to use the $59.20 towards any massage or service. Management and ownership of the establishment at 10003 NW MILITARY STE 1102. So, firstly, active duty service member here. Signed up and paid timely for usage of this establishment 20221229 til 20230915 until an untimely occurrence happened that became a huge nightmare for me, financially. Occupationally, my hours changed and availability changed and couldn't sync for a session as planned with first signing up for 2 hours at 129 dollars a month. Subsequently, I accrued two 2 hour sessions and one 1 hour sessions and was going to be billed again for a 2 hour on Sep 15 2023. I very timely communicated with management and have emails to confirm a rollover of those sessions by the management team into 20240915. But with the caveat of them receiving the termination form. I sign everything via CAC, filled and signed it and presumably sent it off, as I did a previous suspension form. But, unfortunately it was not received and as I clear my spam, drafts, and trash inboxes on my gmail accounts regularly, I could not present the management team with a sufficient and satisfactory proof that I had emailed the required documents, Therefore, just got off the phone with "management" at this location and not only did they deflect to their subordinates having made a "call" when granting me the year extension and rollover, but then instead of saying "hey ownership didn't receive the termination form therefore they deemed it necessary to enact the clause of terminating your membership and wiping off your credits." But there is a bright side, was offered a conditional reinstatement of my list already paid for (285 dollars) worth of services, if I reinstate and then it would be receiving 1 hour service of the 5 lost, every month. Hey, it's on me, truthfully, despite going above and beyond and signing with a CAC like I do all PDF forms, I didn't do my due diligence and follow up with inquiring about receipt. That is my fault. But the cause of ownership termination decision, apparently a second ACH payment decline, did I receive any sort of communication about this, no, but am I still receiving "oh hey member we have open slots for massage therapists" basically spammed everyday, YES I DO, everyday. In short, take your business elsewhere, this is a mentality top bottom you don't want to associate with, at all. Paid for and already agreed upon extension, then no communication final cancellation and loss of services, in my opinion, not right at all. But, you make the call, I can only produce my own experience and I'm very sure this isn't an isolated incident. God Bless read more

I scheduled a 60 minute massage online. I wrote in the notes that Elements had sent me a free 30 minute add on for my birthday. I arrived for my 9 am massage five minutes before the time. I was informed I had to bring my coupon as proof and I should have scheduled it for 90 minutes because the therapist had someone scheduled right after me. Fair enough. Lesson learned. But then at 5 after 9 I again asked if my therapist knew I was there. The desk staff said yes she will be out momentarily. I said I was concerned I would now not get even my allotted time if she had someone right behind me. She assured me that would not be a problem. At 9:10 the des staff said " oh she had asked to be bloc'ed, she's not here. She doesn't get here until ten ". At this point I left. No other therapist was offered, no explanation for how I was able to schedule her for that time. No customer service. Similar experiences are why I dropped my membership before. Will never go back. Would have made this a zero star rating but it wouldn't take it I wanted to update my review to say I was called by the manager Chantelle who was very nice and has offered me a service on them. I probably should have asked for her that day. I realize errors happen and I appreciate her taking the time to understand and correct the experience. Going to see how it goes next week! read more

Loved the masseuse. The management is incompetent. Entered into a contract with them to pay a monthly fee for one massage per month. The charge was made the first of the month on a credit card. Suddenly I was charged the monthly fee plus an additional $50 in the middle of the month (after being charged the correct fee on the 1st). It took two phone calls for them to agree it was a mistake and they would credit the second charge back onto my card. They did, but the credit was $30 short. I was told it was for a tip which I never agreed to pay on my credit card. They said they could not credit the $30 back to my card so they gave me cash the next appointment. Today I noted they charged an additional $10 on the first. I called and was told they raised the monthly membership fee. I explained I had not received any notice and the contract states I would receive a 30-day notice if the fee was changed. They stated they emailed me and sent a text message. After checking my account they acknowledged they did not have an email address for me on file, and it appears the text message never went through. I advised it was because I have a landline and not a cell phone. Crickets......I asked how soon I could cancel my membership and was told after my next appointment. If you are interested in a one-time massage this is the place. Avoid a membership like the plague. read more

So when I went to book it on my birthday they have no openings and won't honor it any other day! Elements had a massage deal for Christmas so I bought my boyfriend and I a one hour massage. We had to book a few days in advance as their late-afternoon/ early-evening slots fill up quickly. We arrived promptly. This location is clean, well-kept and quiet. I'm not sure how many rooms they have, but the room I was in had relaxing music and a relaxing smell to it. My masseuse was friendly and asked what spots I wanted him to focus on, which he did. This massage was great and relaxing and I enjoyed my visit here. What I will say I wished for was a more full-body experience. Typically, when I go to get massages I give a focus area and they still find time in the hour to work on other spots. During this massage, I felt like my focus area was the only thing focused on and I really missed the other pieces of that full-body experience. I would definitely love to come back as I appreciate the atmosphere, friendliness and overall experience. read more

I found a Groupon for Elements Massage and decided to have a girls day with a friend. We couldn't get in until later in the month but oh my was the wait worth it! I saw Erin and let me say if I lived closer to San Antonio I would see her monthly if not every two weeks. I will definitely be back to visit this location again. I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed with this place, I joined the membership and paid the first couple months while I was pregnant, I had lots of complications during labor and delivery and couldn't continue paying so I cancelled and still had 2 massages on file that I wasn't able to use so I was told they would be on file and could use them when I was ready since I had already paid for them the previous months. So I went ahead and canceled my membership.... months later to November I get charged $89 out of no where, so I called to see what the deal was and they said they would refund my money but mY other massages that were "supposedly" on file were terminated as well, so it doesn't matter if you pay for massages.... if you terminate you're cancelled all around and the massages I paid for months prior were no longer available, after I was told they would still be on file to use when I was ready. If I would have known this in the beginning I would have NEVER signed up in the first place. I wouldnt trust what these ladies tell you... all they're doing is scamming people with false words and leading them to believe other wise, ready to withdraw from your account. Needed to get a tight riding muscle worked out of my right upper calf. I booked, last minute for an hour and was able to be squeezed in no problem. However, the service was more focused on what could not be done. I.e., I enjoy using a certain product from a health food store. I asked if this could be used and was quickly cut off with 2 reason why they could not use my preferred product. The second issue would be that the knot was not worked out. In fact it seemed to intensify and only get angrier. Thinking the technician wasn't that experienced or that into working on simply one area of the body? Who knows, but the upside was that it was relaxing. The third issue was me leaving a message for the manager to contact me regarding the possibility of using preferred products and that answering this question was membership dependent... Well, that message was left over 3 weeks ago. Granted s/he may have went on vacation or some other reason. But 3 weeks is plenty of time to follow up in a service oriented industry. read more

However they were charging my credit card for a program I signed up for to get better rates, however after a few massages accumulated They did not allowed me to cancel until I finished using all the pending massages and they kept charging me for more every time. This was something they never told me at the beginning. So my card got expired they couldn't charge any more so they end up canceling the 2 pending massage I had. I purchased a Groupon that clearly states 90 minute deep tissue massage. The fine print doesn't state anything else. My massage was only 60 minutes exactly and that included preparation. The quality of the massage wasn't what I expected as deep tissue. It was more of a relaxation massage. I just felt like I was being rubbed. I have so many knots and they were not touched. I went In strictly for a deep tissue because I have so many knots. I seriously feel like I should of just paid my daughter to rub my back. read more

Tried this place out via Groupon because I normally go somewhere else. The location is convenient and the front desk staff person was professional. My therapist while very nice did not seem to internalize the areas I pointed out at the beginning of our time as the ones in pain. He started out with a full back quick pass with both hands and noticed my left side is extremely tight and then seemed to spend much more time and energy while I was still face down on that side. I could tell I really upset him when I mentioned it after flipping over. At the end while my left side feels wonderful my right side which hurts feels only slightly better. I scheduled another massage at my usual place for later in the day. My fault for not mentioning anything sooner when I noticed the trend. I'm just not used to having to say anything except idle chit chat during a massage. read more

Got a massage back in July, it was nice so I ended up signing up for the monthly service. Life and time changed for me so I called to cancel, was told that I had to do so in writing 30 days prior to my next payment. I had them email me over the form to which I immediately filled out and emailed back, the girl who answered the phone let me know I missed my 30 day cut off by 3 days and would have to make the sept payment next month then my contract would be over. So paid for July, Aug and now sept for one massage.... Shady but whatever lesson learned until today and they charged me again in Oct and now won't return my calls to rectify the situation. One massage how now cost me $310 and I have to cancel my bank account completely to stop them from continuing this fraud. This was my first time trying elements. I've been a massage therapist for 6 years and I like to try different places to see which are good. This exceeded my expectations, I got an introductory 90min and it was exactly what I needed. I had a male therapist who unfortunately I forgot the name of, but they were excellent. I am very picky and require someone who can work out muscles without going too deep, and the pressure was great. Whatever adjustments I said were carried out perfectly and I didn't need to adjust too much either. I regret not getting the super cool Himalayan hot stones they had, I held one of the displays in the front and it felt good. I tried "Affordable Massage" not too long after this Elements, and it was horrible. I definitely will be back here where the therapists are well trained. read more

Customer Service from the front desk was terrible! Then I received the weirdest massage ever! I felt like I was in 2nd grade and someone was giving me arm burns, friction was odd, pressure to much! I came here because of their first massage special - 59 for an hour and I was in desperate need of a massage. A lot of places are closed weekends so I was happy they could fit me in - day of - on a Sunday. I saw Ritchie who is awesome!!! Never had a MT who actually used enough pressure to really get at the root of my knots. He made me feel very comfortable and seemed genuinely interested in figuring out how to make me feel better. The staff up front are also very friendly and welcoming. They have pretty good deals if you subscribe, or they have a summer special right now if you buy 3 up front you get the 59 pricing. I got two coupons for Christmas and decided to use them during a particularly stressful work period. I'd never had a massage before so I was a little nervous. The first time I made an appointment my therapist had to cancel because of a family emergency, and they were great about informing me, rescheduling and even added 30 minutes onto my coupon. I started using Elements Massage with an email discount coupon many years ago. Now I am a member of the wellness program and try to have at least one massage per month. Many of the therapists are very good with their techniques but my favorite is Dana. If I have serious tension knots, Dana will use deep pressure and work them out. Whichever therapist works on me I can count on leaving well treated and relaxed, The front end staff are always friendly and helpful when I call for an appointment or when I check in. The therapy rooms are always clean and there are never any overbearing scents in use. In the winter months we can enjoy heated tables to take the chill out of the bones. You can count on your therapist being on time most of the time. I have seldom had to wait more than five minutes beyond my scheduled time. read more
