I have been experiencing bad back issues... i called for an appointment, they told me they had a special for new clients... The deal was to sweet to pass up. I did the 2 hour Cbd oil massage with Alejandra.... From the time i walked it in to the time i left i felt comfortable...especially with Covid going around! The staff wore masks, checked tempures and had a Covid screening questionnaire. I was a little scared at first but i was really happy everyone wore masks... The 2 hour massage was amazing!!! Staff was nice since my initial call and gave me some of the information needed. I arrived and was greeted with friendly smiles and was given the paperwork to fill it since it was my first time. Not too much paperwork so it wasn't overwhelming. The lobby was relaxing and they had ice cold water which was very refreshing to have before my massage. Then the masseuse came out as soon as I was done with my paperwork which did not really give her time to actually go through and read my answers in which I had wrote exactly what I was looking for. However she was friendly and asked me then reiterated what I said to make sure she understood. The masseuse did a good job and kept asking periodically if I was okay or needed anything. She was very professional and her room was clean. However they can improve by having relaxing scent oils in the room. I've had massages before where this was part of the massage and not an extra charge which I imagine it was for Elements. Relaxing music would also be soothing. Also it would have been nice to have the massage table have a warmer setting and if it did I was not asked if I wanted it turned on. I have been a member for some time now, I used to like this location a lot, however the turnover of this location is unbelievable, as soon as you find a massage therapist you like, they leave. They have cancelled multiple appointments due to this problem. I hope they get it together, as for now I am canceling my membership until they do. They have also now started this elite massage therapist program, so you pay additional for these sessions on top of your membership. I would not recommend this place to anyone and highly advise that you don't use their services. I was actually charged twice on my card without authorization when coming in with a gift card. After charging my account the manager tried to act like it was no big deal and my card still hasn't been credited back or made right and it's going on three days. My card was charged over $200. I have been coming to this location for awhile now, probably almost a year if not longer. It's a quiet little location, but they have the best service. The front desk girls are always friendly & knowledgeable and Darrius gives the best massages I've ever had. I'm a member of their monthly plan, and the occasional free upgrades are lovely. They've adjusted well with COVID requirements. They confirm with their reminder calls that you haven't been sick or cared for anyone sick. Then at arrival they check your temp & have you sign an acknowledgment you are in good health. They sanitize the rooms between visits & have taken a lot of the little things out of the rooms so there's less to disinfect. Everyone wears masks. read more

I like the fact of how friendly helpful and courteous the staff is both in office and on the phone.I also really like how you get a discount for your first visit which is really nice. While I will be the first to admit the muscles in my back can be tricky, my masseuse Marisella did an amazing job in my hour and a half session. That's often easier said then done as my muscles can often prove to be a challenge and she was up for it and succeeded. She was very professional and friendly and made specific effort to pay attention to the areas which most affected. Her ability to perform a quality shiatsu massage was worth the time for sure. I came in back in December 2022 and forgot to put in review. My friend and I came out to Arizona for a getaway. We decided to get a massage and the reviews here looked good. My friend said she had a really good massage cause she had a male masseuse. I had a female one which I didn't mind and thought maybe she has strength. I was wrong. I needed a lot of focus on my shoulders and needed a lot of pressure. When I asked her to go harder on my shoulders she responded "I can't with my hands but I can with my arms". I was confused, why did I need to know that. When the massage started her hands were cold. When I was on my back and she was massaging my neck/shoulders, she was standing above my head and breathing directly into my face. Horrible Service. I don't recommend this location. I booked a massage for 3. We arrived and they only had appointments for 2 of us. They said they called and canceled one of us but we never received the voicemail. When booking I confirmed they accepted spa finder gift cards. Element massage is listed on the spa finder websites but they didn't accept that form of payment. They failed to give the new client price. For the inconvenience they only waived a $10 add on. One of us drove from Sedona and the other flew in from CA for this girl weekend. I am sad because my massage with Eli was amazing but the horrible service out weight the good. I am extremely disappointed that they didn't personally contact us and informed us of the cancellation. They spent so much time at check in that we only received a 45 min massage but were charged for the hour because they started late even though we arrived 20 mins prior to our appointment time. Last week I was visiting in Arizona and suddenly woke up with a terrible knot in the back of my neck. I was recommended to Elements Massage by a friend and decided to make an appointment. When I called, I believe I spoke with Kayla at the front desk and she was very professional. Kayla was polite and understanding through the phone due to my neck being in pain. My appointment was booked within the same day at 3:15pm. When I arrived, I was greeted by Kayla and began filling out my first-time guest forms. During the time I was filling out my forms, Kayla offered me the option of using aromatherapy oils during my massage which I thought was wonderful! I used the restroom before my appointment and it was squeaky clean! Coming back from the restroom, Leah met me at the front and was prompt and ready to walk me to my massage room at 3:15! Leah definitely has a calling for this profession! I prefer my massages to be light-medium pressure and she did just that! I voiced my concern of the knot in my neck before we got started and she confirmed everything on my paperwork for comfort. Leah used specific techniques that have to had been taught in school for getting knots out. I was very impressed with how she managed her time in covering my preferred body areas on the form (neck, back and shoulders). I highly recommend Elements Massage for anyone in the Tempe, AZ area! Very appreciative to Michael here at the Tempe location. I highly recommend him! When working out I noticed some imbalances that were leading my right and left side to get tight in different places. I tried a chiropractor but didn't feel any lasting improvement. I tried rolling my muscles out and stretching at home which would fix the issue for a few hours to a day but the tightness and pain would come right back. I decided to try professional massage and am glad I was matched with Michael. He works out the root of the problem, not just the muscle I feel the tightness in. He also provided me great insight about the muscles, connective tissue, etc. that helped me make better decisions on my own. After the massages and guidance I was able to get a lot more out of my exercise and stretching. As I strengthened and stabilized the pain and tightness went away. After months of too much sitting, exercising at home, and Elements being closed some of the pain and tightness I had worked out before had come back. I went back in today and left feeling so much better. I already feel so much more range of motion and am ready to get back to feeling great. read more

Ashley at the front desk went out of her way to help me with scheduling and sorting out an appointment I had with another location in California. I cannot thank her enough! The environment itself is also wonderful. The music/white noise soothes and relaxes you. I've had massages with a few masseuses here, and every single one has been amazing. Each one listened to me and always checked during the massage to make sure the pressure level was good. Kim no longer works here but she was great. My most recent masseuse was Reilynn, and she is wonderful as well! I live in California now, but I always try to schedule a message with her when I am in town because she is that good. One day after my review I received a phone call from Andy at Elements Massage Tempe, letting me know he received my message and was sorry for the inconvenience, that he would be looking into the matter, and for my trouble he had noted a complimentary massage on my account. I was able to book my appointment with Kathryn today and received an amazing massage (as she usually does;) and I am satisfied with the outcome and resolution to my post below. I hope that the matter is truly looked into so that future guests do not experience the same treatment. I would also hope that a protocol is put into place at each Elements Massage for when a guest does not receive a massage that they clearly booked, they are contacted by management, and efforts are made to ensure the guest has been taken care of properly. Original Post: Unfortunately, I am upset and angry after booking an appointment, arriving at my scheduled time, only to find out that my online "confirmed" appointment was not in their computer system. I booked the appointment Thursday, May 5th, for an appointment with Kathryn on Saturday, May 7th at 3:30pm. I received a first email (Thurs, May 5th @ 5:47am) stating I was confirmed and booked. I received a second email (Thurs, May 5th @ 9:34am) again confirming my appointment, now with a link to click to reconfirm on my end, which I did. Because I booked this appointment and made a commitment, I missed going to an event in Sedona with friends and family that night, not to mention I planned my day around this massage, which was supposed to start my Mother's Day weekend. I am very rarely treated to a massage and I only go to Kathryn at Elements Massage Tempe because I have found a masseuse I really like and is very good. After not finding my reservation, the front desk did offer me the only other appointment available that night at 6pm with Michael, but again, I go only to Elements Massage when I am treated to a massage because of Kathryn and the time did not work for me. I was also told that I should try to call and book my appointments rather than use the new online system. I was not offered any other compensation and after being ready to drop at least $150 - I expect more. If it was my company, I would be making the situation right by offering at least a complimentary massage for the time and trouble lost, and also, it's a massage-people are coming here to help heal their bodies and relax-I received the exact opposite. The online scheduling system has been horrendous trying to schedule appointments already because my husband originally booked me a surprise massage several years ago and when he signed me up he used his work phone number (now an old number) so that I would not know about the surprise. No one has been able to correct the information linked to the account, whether online, in person, or over the phone, and it took me until this year to figure out what phone number I needed to try to use to actually be able to book an appointment online. Now I book an appointment online, get confirmation emails, and show up to find out they cannot accommodate my appointment. I don't want Kathryn to lose my business because of this but it's been nearly two weeks since I contacted the location and I have heard nothing back. I am very disappointed. read more

I had a late night last minute appointment to get a massage. My body has been sore all over due to one month of traveling to Europe. I really needed a deep tissue massage, and I meant DEEP when I say deep. Luckily, a guy massage therapist name BRYAN did the job and oh boy, his pressure can go really hard and he was able to really hit those knots and muscle tension. This is my first visit. After a long weekend of DIY projects around the house, I desperately need some massage to work out the soreness and kinks. Erin is one of the two therapists available this morning and I am so glad I booked with her! She did an amazing job for my badly needed 90-minute session. We talked about the areas that I would like worked on and the pressure that I prefer. She focused a lot on my arms and shoulders because that is what I needed most. My arms gets tingly and numb sometimes and she said that she does specialize in that area quite a bit. By the end of the session, I was totally relaxed, and painless! The front desk lady was nice and did not push hard on the membership after I told her that my schedule won't allow me to have regular visits.
