I cancelled my membership last month and they will not leave me alone. This is AFTER spending THREE DAYS attempting to cancel, which required TWO in person visits to the physical store location and about half a dozen phone calls (apparently they never have a manager available unless they want to harass you or its convenient for them). The first physical visit to Elements was a Friday morning and I was "assured" by the front desk that a manager would call me THAT DAY. It didn't happen until MONDAY. I kept calling over the weekend--since they are open and one would assume that SOME sort of management is available during business hours--this is a false assumption. Only by calling and demanding someone get back to me did I get ahold of someone. This still didn't solve my problem, because I came in over a month ago to cancel and I have spent the last week trying to tell these people that I am NO LONGER a client. The management has been harassing me for payment despite offering proof of the cancellation. If you cancel, KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK BECAUSE THEY WILL CLAIM TO HAVE LOST IT (or they think I'm lying, which is fine since I have my paperwork signed by their employee Kayla). I kept mine, THANK GOD. I receive phone calls and emails daily because the management is unorganized, or worse, inept. This review has NOTHING to do with the massage therapists, but I would warn ANYONE considering signing up for a membership to stop and reconsider unless they are willing to be locked in for life (and probably for the lives of any living offspring). I've been coming to this location for 4 years and overall have had positive experiences. A couple not so great massage therapists but usually can get a decent massage. Not usually worth $100 but I've always appreciated the ability to schedule an appointment within just a few days rather than waiting a couple weeks to get into other places in the area. Unfortunately I think they've changed their business model. I scheduled a 60 minute appointment online and was called twice in 24 hours asking to change to a 90 minute appointment or reschedule. Something my budget and schedule could not accommodate. When I declined the upgrade the woman was so rude and gave me the option of canceling or rescheduling. If the block of time was for a 90 min appointment they should not have it available online as a 60 minute appointment. Also being called more than once in such a short time frame was incredibly unprofessional. I'm used to the hard press to commit to a membership but this was a whole new level of sales pressure. I guess I'm going to have to find a new massage studio. read more

Mrs. Pamela is by far the best massage therapist I've ever had! She was my therapist before I moved away from Arizona in 2012. I moved back this year and went on a serious hunt hoping to find her and I did! She always customize my massage specifically for my needs. I have chronic back pain do to scoliosis and I've been through therapist in Arizona, Illinois and Texas and no one compares to her! By far the best! read more

Mediocre massages, Stepford Wives receptionists. I received a gift card as a present for three massages. It took me eight months to use them although I get a massage typically about every two weeks. Luckily for me and everyone else there are far better places in this town to go to. The massages are, like I said, mediocre but the real disappointment of the experience is the hard sell and unprofessional behavior from the receptionists. Each time I went it was as if I was being sold a time share. I was asked to provide feedback on my last experience from the business and gave them a longer version of this review a few weeks ago to which I have never received a response. Please avoid this egregious place and get a quality massage without frustrating customer service interactions somewhere else. Caily W, while I appreciate a response, which was more than I ever received from my feedback solicited by Elements, again this business has missed the mark. In regards to you not showing me on file, well I'm sure you, like everyone else living in the year 2016, realize that people use aliases for things like Yelp, twitter, etc. If the business was truly interested in righting a wrong, you would have responded to my feedback email which again was sent by the Tempe Elements location and had all my real information on it. My gift card was purchased in late April from Elements at the Tempe location. I'm not sure how anything I wrote and the timeline would lead you to believe this was not the correct location and just furthers my point that the customer service is horrible. I have been to this place about 4 time and the first three times my husband and I mostly enjoyed the message. The last time we went for the message we made a mistake by picking the last appointment of the day. Originally I would have rated this place with a 4 star but I have to take away a start for the last visit. My husband and I both had the same experience as to where our massages felt shorter. For my 6PM appointment the person messaging me only came out at about 6:07 to get me and the my message ended at about 6:48PM. It seemed like picking the last appointment of the day everyone was rushing to leave. There was other differences in the massage style that particular day but I will spare the details. I would recommend this place but I would suggest don't pick the last appointment of the day. read more

Horrible online appointment system - called me an hour ahead of my appointment to let me know the massage therapist was unable to work long enough today for medical reasons so they cancelled my massage and would call back to reschedule. THEY THEN CHARGED ME A CANCELLATION FEE. Prior experience would echo what others say, awkward pressure to buy a membership, okay but overpriced massages. I have been to many massage places but this one tops them all! The front desk staff is super friendly and I feel like I won the massage lottery by getting Allen. I had pain up and down my back and neck, created from sitting all day behind a computer and possibly a bad mattress. I explained to Allen the pain I had and I was impressed to hear he had a medical and therapeutic license. It turned out to be the best massage I have ever gotten! All my pain was gone and I felt so relaxed, he was able to reset my hips get all the lumps out of my muscles I had to go back the following week just to make sure that this wasn't too good to be true. Extremely kind girl at the front desk, she was so approachable and friendly it felt like I knew her already. The guy that did my massage was so nice too. I had never had a massage by a guy so I was a bit nervous beforehand but he was so professional and nice that I lost the nervousness within a minute or two. Andrew did a great job with my massage--no complaints there. However, I had purchased an intro 1 hour special online for $79, with service fee totaling $82. Fine. I figured after tip it would be around $100. But when I went to leave, they said I owed $50 more dollars because I didn't qualify for the intro special because I had been there once in 2016. So my $82 massage that was already a "splurge" for me, after the other $50 and tip cost me over $150 for a 50 minute massage. That's ridiculous. There was no attempt at customer service or trying to uphold the online special I had purchased, despite my complaints of false advertising. She was very unapologetic and just said it was the policy since I had been there before--over 5 years ago, which I don't even remember. I had to pay the balance, but informed them I would not be back. Basically, all the relaxation I experienced during my massage was out the window after having to pay an additional $50 unexpectedly and having such rude service at the desk. Here's a tip about customer service - if you are rude, can't answer simple questions or just don't like your job, then go do something else. People who get a massage expect a good massage and a nice person at the front desk, to help with the experience. Kaleigh is definitely one of the most incompetent receptionist I've talked to. Will make a complaint. Due to my horrible experience there, I won't be back. I don't think they care about losing a customer anyway, not worth my time or money. I will find another place who values clients, have front desk people with good customer service skills and good therapist that will stay around. All the good therapist leave, high turnover. I am guessing it's due to management, what a shame. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. What do I like about this Elements Massage location? The massage therapist all have different styles, and I have my favorite,I'll call her "K", but have seen some of the others. There isn't a bad feeling about having to see another therapist when your favorite is booked or out of the office. They are professional, a know ethical behavior in this business. The rooms are clean, smell great, and have a modern look. The front desk greets you when you enter their office, don't worry, they won't ignore you here. Subtle touches like lemon water and chocolsyes, yes chocolates are there for your pleasure. Iif there is,a billing problem or anything that you bring to their attention, it will be takwn care of. The massage studio is very clean, inviting and relaxing from the moment you walk in the door. You are greeted by a very friendly and courteous staff. But their customer service starts before that... They will send you a confirmation email regarding your appointment, and a reminder phone call the day before. That is huge for people with a busy schedule. My family and I have tried multiple massage therapists and they all have been great! They are very good at adjusting the massage to your specific needs. This is the only massage studio that has earned my repeat business. Love them! read more

Our family received a $30 coupon for the Tempe facility. I called to inquire about the fee for a 90-minute massage for a new client and was told the fee would be $89.00. I mentioned that I had a $30 coupon and planned to apply it. I made a gift appointment for my husband for the next day (5-2-15). When he returned home, he said that the massage was fine, but the price was not what I had been quoted. Instead, he was charged $129.00 for the massage and given a $40.00 discount. He added a $15.00 gratuity for the massage therapist = total of $104.00. So...instead of the anticipated bill being $89-$30 (coupon) =$59 + $15.00 (gratuity) =$74.00...we were charged an extra $30.00. These business practices mean a one time only visit for this family. read more

I had one amazing massage and signed up. That therapist is no longer there. They only have one other that can do prenatal and she did not want to use pregnancy table which was one of the major reasons I loved elements. Lying on my side for 60 minutes is not relaxing. Then they scheduled me twice and cancelled. They were not available four different times I tried to schedule appts. They even cancelled the day of when I already arranged childcare. They were callous about my dissatisfaction and did not attempt to improve anything nor was I contacted by management. I have since been to two other elements locations that actually have availability and they have been great. If you are pregnant this is not the place for you. If you want customer service go elsewhere. I have rarely written a slightly negative review but feel this is too important for others not to know. When you are finally spending money on yourself it should be a good experience. read more
