I want to sincerely recognize the General Manager at The NOW Massage in Chandler, Arizona for an outstanding level of customer service. I believe his name is David. I actually reached this location unintentionally while trying to find a central or corporate contact for The NOW after a frustrating experience with another location. Even though the issue had nothing to do with the Chandler studio, the General Manager did not dismiss me, rush me off the phone, or make me feel like I had reached the wrong person. Instead, he listened with patience, empathy, and professionalism. My girlfriend and I are long-time members of The NOW, and we had recently been dealing with a stressful situation involving a chemical spill emergency and mandatory evacuation orders near our home. We had cancelled a massage appointment within the required timeframe through the app, but another location still charged us and removed our credits. When I explained what happened, the Chandler GM immediately took the situation seriously. What stood out most was that he took ownership of a problem he did not create. He looked up our accounts, contacted our home membership location in Long Beach, apologized multiple times on behalf of the brand, and assured us he would follow up. Within about 15 minutes, he called back with an update and the issue was being handled. That type of service is rare. He could have easily told us to contact another location or redirected us elsewhere, but instead he chose to help. He showed the kind of leadership, accountability, and care that makes customers feel valued. The NOW is fortunate to have someone like him representing the brand. His professionalism turned a very stressful experience into a reminder that great customer service still exists. I truly appreciate his help and hope his leadership is recognized. read more

She's great at her craft, intentional, and has a bubbly personality. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Had 80 minute massage that was negatively impacted by very loud ocean waves sound machine. Did not allow for relaxing experience. Asked the therapist to turn volumn down and she "could not" .The environment was inconsistent with what one would expect to be necessary to enjoy a massage. I emailed the studio about this and asked that it be forwarded to the owner.i requested a refund explaining that the money spent was not worth the value. I never received a response. Have a membership and every month get an 80 minute massage with Sabrina. She gives the absolute best massage I have ever had. I even have my husband going twice a month to see her. I rarely leave a negative review $190.00 for an 80 minute ( not deep tissue) but paid extra 20 for deep tissue is not just overpriced but not reflected in the service. I still left a $15 tip. I want to start with ... I have never written a bad review before. I went in for a massage the other day and it was unfortunately not worth the price/time. This is my second pregnancy (30 weeks) and we are new to the area so I was looking for a good place to join. My last pregnancy, I had a place in Dallas that was wonderful. As a gift, my husband signed me up for the membership at Now Massage and booked an appointment. Although the lady seemed very polite, this was a waste of money. Not only did I get charged for a regular massage but they up-charged due to my medical condition (pregnancy) which seems horribly wrong. The 'prenatal glow' is providing you with a pillow to lay on your side... let's be real now. I think there is a reason why they don't go into what that entails on their website. On top of the cost, they had me lay on one side the entire massage and she did maybe a 1/2 of my body. No upper neck, arms/hands and barely touched above my knee. To add to the disappointment, she barely applied any pressure... like she was afraid to touch me. I could have lathered on lotion/oil and called it a day. I actually left there in more pain due to laying on one side the entire time. Immediately called after to remove my membership which was awkward but they did. read more

It is impossible to relax when you're freezing the whole time. And not being able to really communicate with your therapist during the session doesn't really help. You can't really talk because it's in one big like communal area they're separate but by like sheets. I paid extra for cupping and I've been cupped before they basically ripped me off for that part... I mean every is friendly and it's clean. Just over priced for the experience. When my boyfriend and I left Now Massage he stated it was bad and didn't want to go back, but I was actually having back pain on my right side. I had ZERO pain going in. I thought it was normal massage soreness, 100% not. It has been two weeks and I am still feeling pain. I'm a nurse, Ive had plenty of massages in my life, I know they tweaked a muscle. I'm so bummed to be writing a not so great review. I have been to the now massage in Scottsdale / have gotten quite a few massages and have always had an incredible experience. However, unfortunately this experience left me not wanting to come back. My massage therapist from my personal experience felt inexperienced, it was far from relaxing and the whole time I was just laying there waiting for it to get better. It had no flow, was more painful and uncomfortable. I felt like I could not get relaxed because I could feel the inexperience and was just hoping it would get better. The massage had no flow like I feel like they usually do. So unfortunately because of this experience I would not recommend this location. I received a gift card for a massage here and decided to try it out having a membership at another spa. I wasn't expecting much but I was actually blown away! Daphne gave me one of the most relaxing massages I've had in a really long time (and im an avid massager lol) . The place was also very aesthetically pleasing and I loved how you are only allowed to whisper in the massage room with the calm ocean music. Two different approach as my needs were different each time and they both took the time to listen to my needs. Jerry tends to be more deep tissue and Paige more Swedish. From walking in the receptionist never looked up from the game on her phone- I had to stand in front of her for a few seconds then finally said something to get her attention. The space is clean, maintained well with lightly fragrant candles. It creates calming environment. Therapist Niki was polite and was asking if pressure being adequate or not. Her service was good and I kept craving for more on each part. Back got enough attention but arms and legs needed more massage for sure They use some oil for the massage so it left me moist but oily everywhere. So if you are planning to go anywhere after the massage, need to reschedule! I added the scalp massage thinking it will be on top of the 50 minutes of massage. To my disappointment that scalp massage meant pouring 1 tsp of coconut oil on scalp with at the maximum of 1.5 mins of strokes. So that made my hair oily and the oil was not distributed just the front of my hair looked oily. If they had used hot cloth to wipe out the oil, spent enough time on overall body and not focused only on back, and soent "additional" time for for "addition" /upgrades, I would go back. read more

It became clear in the intake room that the masseus was not aware of my medical condition (pregnancy). I elected for cupping that she was going to allow me to do it until I reminded her that I'm pregnant and she looked shocked. She had no idea. Not sure what the purpose of filing out any of my online profile or waiver paperwork was if the masseuses or front desk staff aren't paying attention to it. Then I'm told I have to do the prenatal glow upgrade for extra $$. That was a joke. Nothing special about it and didn't have normal adaptive equipment, just pillows so I was uncomfortable the whole time (I'm not far enough along where I can no longer lay on my stomach which is what I would have preferred). Pregnancy is a medical condition and not an invitation to charge more for the same thing! Also the massage it was mediocre at best. No technique and felt like getting lotion rubbed in lightly the whole time. Edit: appears they removed the extra charge for the prenatal enhancement but regardless, the principle of the matter still stands in my opinion. They had every intention of charging for this "upgrade" and would have had I not spoken up. read more

Jerry was great - creatively figured out how to get my tight muscles to release. I asked for deep tissue and got it. He even went a full 90 minutes (they didn't seem busy) when they advertise 80 minutes. Most places state 90 or 60 but they list 80 and 50. Maybe that's just being honest? I do feel like, unless you join as a member, it's a little expensive. Also, I prefer a walled room vs. curtained room. However, being not super busy it wasn't really a problem. This is a very unique boutique, and you feel like you've stepped out of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding Chandler Fashion Mall area into another world. My therapist, Pandah, wanted to know my expectations, and areas of my body that I wanted her to focus on and my level of pressure tolerance. After listening, she recommended her planned approach and asked if that was agreeable with me, which it was. I was extremely pleased with my massage and darn near fell into a deep sleep while she focused on my neck and upper back muscles, pressure and all.
