Originally I was planning on giving 2 stars for this review and recommending against the elements spa for any spa or massage needs. Upon arrival the signage for the spa is non existent I ended up behind the main hotel and wandering hallways until I finally reached the front desk. The front desk staff directed me downstairs and to the double glass doors marked as the elements spa. Upon arriving there were two women behind the desk. One a thinner darker haired woman who was just arriving and the other an older dark haired woman with glasses. I have to say the woman in glasses was not very pleasant for someone at a front desk she was very pushy and had a snarky attitude when I asked if there was a sauna as it was my first time ever here. She responded it's an additional fee since you're not a hotel guest. As well as my friend who joined my spa day had even worse attitude from her saying she was booked for an afternoon appointment had confirmation but when checking in the same woman said we don't have your appointment confirmed on our end and were fully booked. But yet they charged my friend's card and she claimed it would be refunded tomorrow. Which I don't know what banks process a refund on the weekend. I started with a deep tissue massage. I went into what is easily the world's smallest locker room and is not ideal for use when others are trying to change or get their belongings into the small lockers that barely fit a crossbody purse. I waited for a while in the lounge area before my masseuse got me and showed me to my room. The room was nice and warm and very clean. This was probably the saddest excuse of a deep tissue massage I have ever experienced in my entire life. The woman spent more time on the other side of the room doing who knows what then actually massaging me. Most of the time she was putting a hot towel on my body or just brushing her hands over the blankets on me. Not to mention she stopped earlier than the time I paid for. Next I was brought to the foot soaking station in which my feet were soaked in barely warm water when epsom salt and essential oils. They give you some granola and a towel to snack on. This was honestly not enjoyable. My next appointment was not until early afternoon so I let the front desk know I was leaving and will return later. Upon returning a different girl was at the front desk who was younger and extremely pleasant to deal with. I opted for the mud body treatment and Nadine was phenomenal! She is the only reason for this higher rating. Four stars solely for her! She was personable made sure I was comfortable and talked about the entire process step by step. My skin feels absolutely wonderful and I would return solely to see her and that is it. read more

honestly? One of the worst spas I've ever been to. The lockers are the size of my hand. You don't get any of the steam room sauna or pools that are associated with the hotel you only are paying for the massage itself. The layout is absolutely horrible and the design is from the 1980s. There were three people working at the front desk and none of them were customer service friendly, and had no idea what they were doing. The vibes are so incredible here. It's truly beyond relaxing. The location is very clean and organized. My boyfriend & I had reservations for the couple's massage and that is exactly what we received. We had Cecilia and Lexie, who were nothing short of professional masseuses. They asked us where we'd like them to focus on during our massage from the very start. Great customer service skills. Their hands were so magical. They both rubbed every knot out of our bodies. We didn't want to leave the massage tables but when we did, we felt so refreshed. The only unfortunate part is the hour goes by super quick. I've always wanted the crystal springs experience, perhaps they used to thrive back in the early 2000s compared to today. I had a spa appointment and all went really well, the facility was just ice cold and it was uncomfortable. Even the hot massage bed wasn't enough when the air is cold, i was the only appointment so it was clear they were keeping the place warm for others but this would've made my experience better. I was given a gift card for a therapeutic massage and decided before I would go to check out the reviews. Full disclosure: I haven't had a massage in years. After checking out many reviews, positive and negative, my expectations were mixed, so I didn't quite know what to expect. As I entered, I was greeted by a nice woman at the desk. Since it was my first time I had to fill out a simple questionnaire and then was brought to the men's locker room. I can see why people might be put off by how small and non-private they are, but I was by myself so it was all good. I waited in the waiting area where there was a calming demeanor, nice "spa music" playing in the background, and a young woman taking care of the footbaths on the other side. When Laine came to get me she was very nice, answered all my questions and, though she expressed some concern about my heart issues, was incredibly accommodating. In fact, I had been mountain biking the week before, and went over the handlebars, so she was very cognizant and would always ask me if I was ok. Since I also have a pacemaker, she was very good about adjusting the massage on the side of the pacemaker and gentle when need be, because I had otherwise made a request to go a little harder since I had years of knots. Overall, my experience was great! I will definitely be returning and will definitely be asking for Laine in the future. This was our first time going to the spa at Crystal Springs Resort and Michele and Grace made it so comfortable for us no matter how many questions we asked. They answered them with a smile and exactly what we needed to know. They made me feel like I knew them forever. Moving on to my Facial with Shannon--it was a fabulous experience. She explained everything she was going to do step by step and made sure I was okay with everything. During the process, she let me know what she was going to do before she did it. I left there feeling refreshed and would recommend her to anyone. My grandson, after hearing how well my facial went, decided to book a Teen Facial. He ended up having Sara S. and loved it! My expectations were high as I had heard good things about the resort and spa. I was so disappointed. The lounge area is small and the seating is uncomfortable. Two sofa/benches lined the walls. The material was cloth so they showed dirt/oils. There were no individual chairs nor were there recliners or reading materials offered. Options for refreshments were either plain water or tea. At other spas I've been to, there were multiple beverages and refreshments offered, a plethora of seating, and magazines to thumb through. During the two hours I was in the lounge, an employee came through once to clear used cups but did not refill water or the thermos of tea. This area is also co-ed, so if that is something you aren't comfortable with, take note. Across from the lounge area was a post treatment area where you could soak your feet in warm water w/ epsom salt. Nice in theory but while I was sitting in the lounge, I noticed that after a patron soaked her feet that the employee did not clean the basin or seat. She just drained the water and put new bottle of water and a towel down for the next person. Needless to say, I did not utilize this service. The locker room is small as well. I was in a group with three others that I know. We were almost touching each other while by the lockers. There was no bench to sit on if you wanted or needed to. If you are not comfortable changing in front of others, there was no changing room. It was the locker area or the bathroom stall. The stall I used did not have a hook in it to hang a bag or clothing or robe. One of the sink faucets didn't work either. At other spas, I've always seen displays of complimentary toiletries. That was not the case here. My technician was so very nice. Pleasant personality and did not speak all throughout the 80 minute massage. She asked if I had allergies and if there were any trouble spots I'd like her to work on. She proceeded to not work on one of them (my neck) and spent maybe two minutes on my shoulders. While working on my upper arms, she massaged so hard and repeated the same stroke so many times on both arms that I was sore well after I left the treatment. She did the same thing on my back...so many of the same stroke in the same spot that it was more of a nuisance than therapeutic. This was NOT an enjoyable 80 minute deep tissue massage. It was likely the worst one I've experienced. The employees I encountered were very nice. The room I was in for my massage was clean. All four of us in my group felt there was ample parking but a lack of signage directing you on the property. But, my overall experience was disappointing. It was an expensive massage and I didn't walk away from it feeling any better. I would not recommend this spa. read more

I had an amazing experience here. Audré gave me a phenomenal deep tissue massage and included the theragun prior to my massage which was a gamechanger. The massage room was really nice and the massage bed was heated and had soft linens. I felt like a new person after my massage and was then lead to a complimentary foot soak area afterwards where they offer epsom salts for your soak. Very impressive, I have never had that at a spa before. While soaking my feet a woman offered us tea, granola and water which was so nice. I enjoyed the ambiance and felt it was very clean. If you go during the week for a massage you get complimentary access to their pool facilities which I highly recommend. Sitting in the jetted hot tub after my massage was the icing on the cake. Ahh...must needed relaxation. Located in Mineral Spa Resort is Elements Spa that has hair, nail and massage services. I had gone for the massage service. It was freakin' awesome to relax on the bed that is firm and warm. My masseuse did a great job with massaging all my knots on my body. I told her of backaches and would like a firm pressure and yes, she worked it. I was so comfortable and the bed was so toasty, I didn't want the massage to end. I would have fell asleep in another few minutes. I would recommend that you treat yourself if you are at the resort. Go get a massage. read more

For starters, don't let the reviews scare you into not giving this place a go. I came here as part of a bachelorette party. There's plenty of parking and there's plenty of signage to direct you to the spa. Every staff member was very kind here and helped direct me to where I needed to be. I found the spa to be beautiful and relaxing. You're conveniently close to the pool where there's a sauna room. I wasn't bothered by the noise at all, because again it's down the hallway. The bathrooms were clean and I liked the locker room setup. However, the lockers could be a bit bigger. You're given slippers and yes if you have bigger feet, I suggest bringing your own slides, which I should have done just because they would have fit better. I had a CBD massage and my massage therapist was SO nice. She asked several questions to get to know me and my preferences. She also informed me of everything she was doing, which is definitely great if you have never had a massage before. I found it to be relaxing. I had a facial done by Sarah and she was awesome!! So friendly and informative. She again too made sure to tell me everything she was doing. Upon checkout she left a note with some suggested products, which I did buy. I love the foot soaking area. It was nice to just to sit and relax while soaking my feet. It's a bit tricky to get in and out especially if the seats are filled. I thought the prices were a bit steep. Booked the girls day package with my friend and also a night at the resort. Resort room was nice and clean and the beds were super comfy. The two stars is for the spa. Walked in and we waited in the lounge area which is cute with tea and granola and water. Massage was phenomenal, body detox was just not my thing but my friend liked both. I also think they book to their appointments too closely together. When I was I'm leaving a two star review because although our services were nice this is an example of how customer service can make or break you. After our nice relaxing day we went to go check out and the lady at the front desk was horrible, I believe her name was Michelle. We asked to check out and she kept us waiting when there were no customers and it looked like she was sorting fake nails? When we did get her attention she asked if we could send the bill to the room or check out now. Since we were using the same card we said charge it to the room. Our appointments were at 1 pm and you can't check in until 3/4. We told her that and she made a big deal by calling up to the top floor hotel front desk and kept sighing. Then she goes how do you want to tip and hands us envelopes before we even resolved the issue of how we were going to pay which I believe is rude. Next we asked about a 15 dollar promotional credit to their kites restaurant that's stated in the girls day package. She starts huffing and puffIng saying we should have gotten something in our email when we booked. We showed her the email and it's not tHere so she calls upstairs again as basically hands us a gift card then moves over to help the next customer. My friend literally pulled me away because Michelle's attitude and demeanor really rubbed us both the wrong way. I was going to say something but my friend said she didn't want out whole day to be spoiled. We checked out the next morning and we were going over our bill. She charged us for the 15$ gift card. How does that make any sense, it's supposed to be part of the prOmoTion. Front desk manager and receptionist credited the account and fixed it for us. So I have been back and forth with Mike who is telling me I did not cancel my massage appointment. Though I did on my way to have cancer surgery used my daughters phone. The spa took 306 dollars from my account saying missed appointment. I was told by Mike that is I took down my yelp review I can have my refund. I have not only put it on here but Mike I have your number and what you did and how you lied and stole from me on every social media. This was the second time I visited the Elements Spa. I received a gift card for my anniversary a few years ago and I finally used it in October. I had a message and facial. They were awesome!! I rebooked a facial with Sara that was today. Again, the facial was terrific! Sara assessed my skin to determine which treatments would be best. I have had other technicians at other spas but none spent the time like Sara did. I booked another treatment for February! I also had booked a kid facial for my daughter. She was so excited and they did not disappoint! Her technician was Shannon. Shannon was great with my daughter. When I asked her how the facial was she said it was great!! It was my daughter's birthday weekend. I booked the trip last minute. It was our first time. The pool area was crowded. We weren't having the best time. It was not what we expected. That changed once we had our spa appointments. I have to mention all of them because they turned our day around. First, what an amazing welcoming team! Antonia and Kathy greeted us. They talked to me like I was a friend because they saw that's what I needed at that moment. They were awesome! We had facials and had to come back for our massages later. In hospitality we had Hannah and Kaleigh. They both made sure we were comfortable and and relaxed. I never felt so pampered with a foot bath before! It was the cherry on top! We had Sara for our facials. I had the 80 min.one. She is extremely knowledgeable in skin care. We both felt so rejuvenated. Best facial ever!! That was followed by the best massages with Gloria! I've had many massages, but she is not just your average masseuse!! She has this maneuver she does with her elbow. It's totally worth mentioning! I actually booked this place because I wanted to go somewhere nice for my birthday . I called the hotline and they told me I can come in and make a appointment and so I can see how the Spa looks. Well I can say that everyone else was very nice except the people working in the Spa . I walked inside the Spa and the Woman did not even say Hi and made us feel like if we were lower class then her , she was very stuck up and when I asked to explain something she made us feel like if we were supposed know all this stuff already . Absolutely wonderful spa! I have been lucky enough to visit quite a few spas in luxury hotels and while the hotel itself didn't impress me much, the spa was SPECTACULAR. The spa is downstairs through the gym and at first glance it doesn't look like it's too big, but once they take you to the back it's quite expansive. The service list is fairly expansive (facials, body treatments, salon style options and a wide range of massages). Despite the busy back to school weekend we were able to get a variety of times for Sunday and were immediately impressed with the locker rooms & waiting area. Showers, lockers, towels and slippers awaited us ore-treatment as well as hot teas and cucumber water. Right on the hour the therapists came down to greet everyone waiting by name and take us into our private rooms for a consultation. I chose a massage and my therapist (I think Ashley!) explained everything to me and helped me pick out an aromatherapy scent for my treatment. The table was the perfect temperature and comfort level as well as the lights being nice and dim so as not to take away from the relaxation. My massage was the perfect fitness and she took really good notice on all my "pressure areas" and shoulders that were quite knotted. During the massage I had multiple hot towel treatments and was always adjusted on the table to be in the most ergonomic position (pillows under ankles, knees and neck) The after treatment was honestly what set this spa apart... after putting your robe and slippers back on you're greeted with a full glass of ice water and walked to the post-massage area where you get to soak your feet in a warm bowl of hot water, salt and aromatherapy oil. I highly recommend her for this service, and any others that she does which include hair and makeup. The reviews of the other folks here BLOW MY MIND...I couldn't wait to write a review because clearly this reviews are very old, very outdated, and very unlike what the spa is now. Yes, you still go down the stairs and through the gym to get to the spa. So what? Once you enter, the professional and friendly ladies great you with a nice piece of paper that has my name, my scheduled treatment and my massage therapist's name. That was a nice touch. We were given our locker room keys and were shown around the locker room. Only drawback to the locker room is that there is one toilet which, as an aside, has a front and backside heated water cleaner. Kinda weird, but if that's your jam, go for it. The locker spot was a little tight with only one bench; again, a little meh. However, when you go and sit and await for your masseuse, you are seated in a very private area with water, amazing hot vanilla tea, granola, and other treats. People complain about the "clanking" of the beads; folks, sounds a bit like rain. Hang out in NYC for a day and tell me what noise really sounds like. This isn't noise, it's privacy, its cool looking, quit complaining. Once inside the room, I was expecting to hear people out side as I was in the room closest to the "holding areas", but I didn't hear a thing except the pleasant background sounds and the voice of my ammmmazing mausser, Jamie. She had firm, kind hands and I walked out of there a different person. Was it THE BEST I have ever had? I don't think so necessarily, but I was completely comfortable, completely realized, and completely ache-free for the first time in months. And now for the happy ending.... Another holding area allows you to dip your feet in a little pool of rose petals and salts. The ladies bring you some ice water, and you can reflect on what just happened. This is a nice touch I have never, ever experienced before. So boo hoo to those past reviews that say they're aren't enough "amenities" included in the price of the massage. I get that it's small town Vernon, but you are, in fact, at a resort, and there are many, many more resorts out there that could charge a whole lot more then these folks do. So kudos, friends, you make me want to come back to Minerals. Thank you. read more

I was going to give 4 stars, but after reading the other three reviews it would make me look like an idiot. I do agree with some of their statements. I went to Elements last winter for the first time and got a couples massage and enzyme facial. Both amazing. The masseuse, Brianne, was fantastic, but unfortunately when I tried going back this winter for her they told me she no longer works there. The facial, though too expensive for what I can normally afford, was also awesome, and my normally overly dried skin stayed moisturized for weeks. I went back this winter for the facial and though it didn't seem to last as long, it felt great after coming off the slopes. In combination with a day, or days, in the cold and wind, it is very much needed and appreciated. But I probably would not go here if it wasn't for snowboarding. IN RESPONSE TO THE OTHER REVIEWS: A) I didn't find a problem with the metal, bead curtain. It does sway for a bit, but since I didn't spend much time here it wasn't an issue for me. B) I've made 3 appointments with them and they have all been kept. In fact, because of a snow storm the day prior, they let me change my appointment the day of - I live an hour South of Vernon. C) The sinks in the locker rooms are weird, as are the shapes of the lockers. For the sinks you have to put your hands behind the spout for the sensor to work. While aesthetically interesting, who knows how clean that shoot the water travels before actually hitting your hands. And for the lockers - I wonder if they get that many people in there at one time where they needed to skimp on the size of the lockers to fit more in. I suppose for the price there could be more amenities and it not so awkwardly placed on the other end of a hotel gym. I liked my services enough to go back again. But I'm still a rookie at this, and will probably keep searching for a cheaper/better/closer place to get massages and facials. read more

Bought a Groupon for a 50 min spa with access to the pools afterwards for my husband and myself for Father's Day and we had a great time! You get a locker and a nice robe (though my robe did have some stains on it ) from there we had some complimentary tea, water and granola while we waited for our masseuse (not a long wait at all). The services are good, but a few really significant annoyances that really disrupt the spa experience. First, the check in area is open to the "relaxation" area before and after treatment. The acoustics are terrible, so while trying to relax you get the constant drone of both guests and employees chit-chatting. They need to wall it off. They also need to explain to their employees that it's a spa, meant for relaxing, so constantly chattering with each other at high volume is not appreciated. Second, the locker rooms are abysmally small and under-equipped for the volume of guests. One toilet stall in the ladies and also the men's (my husband joined me this visit) and he reported it was out of service! Lockers are also so tiny I had to empty my purse in order to store it. There were virtually no amenities and nowhere to easily put your stuff while getting changed. No counter space to do makeup or hair thanks to what was probably supposed to be a cool waterfall sink but ended up just annoying as no one could figure out how to use it. We then enjoyed the elemental journey for two - couples massage with some extras. The massage and scrub were wonderful, as was the soaking tub for two to follow. What came next can only be described as water torture. A steam room with side jet showers and what I am guessing was meant to be "rain showers" above. The problem was they were actually more like fire sprinklers shooting random pellets of water at you, and there was virtually no escaping them in the room. It was like getting caught in a rainstorm and not in a good way. I believe the idea was for the couple to "paint" each other with various body masks, but the second you did the inescapable water rinsed them off, so kind of pointless. In the final actual shower room, one of the shower heads so desperately needed a cleaning it was (again) randomly spraying water everywhere. Vitamin C facial really didn't redeem the experience. I agree with other reviewers that it was rushed and virtually no time spent on extractions. Re-visiting reflections Tuesday and my memory is it was way better. read more

Came here looking forward to a peaceful girls weekend and it was not even close. When we arrived were offered a complimentary show that had a buffet, we made a small appetizer plate which we got reprimanded for and told us we couldn't have. Then we woke in the morning to a cold shower and that continued all weekend. Went to Warwick village and came back to crystal springs and they had an evacuation due to a fire alarm And had to stay outside the building until 5 minutes before our spa appointment which we hustled down to and our services were cut in half and they insisted that we paid full price. Called the manager and he was so unprofessional and had no empathy for the situation, never tried to make it right. Stephanie was the worst spa manager ever. I work in a salon and would never treat a guest like that. For $800 a night it shouldn't be like that! read more

All that was included - a robe and slippers in a locker, complimentary refreshments and granola, a 50-min therapeutic massage, and a salt foot soak at the end. Don't be fooled by the nice pics. These are fake or outdated. Place is run down and not worth it. Save ur self money and headache. It is way expensive for the quality. Slippers are tiny. No water in bathrooms. Just old place overall. U have to walk thru the gym to get to the spa. Then if u change into robes u'll need to walk thru the gym to go to sauna and pool. Gym and waiting room are very loud and can be heard into the relaxation hallway. Not so relaxation really. Relaxation room not so much. U sit and stare at a beaded curtain. Water and tea and bowl of granola. Yuk. Area too small and uncomfortable. Lockers are small and locker room area small too. No running water into the rusted copper sinks. Yuk. To top it off the massage therapist Elizabeth was horrible. She must be new but i felt like i was being beaten. Told her To go softer but she wouldn't listen. I came to relax but ended up counting the min to leave. Even considered leaving in the middle of the massage. Never again. My body aches and my muscles are tense. I feel worse than before. read more

Shame that this place once was fantastic and now is just plain awful. Both spas at Crystal Springs are terrible. Busy with wall to wall people. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. read more
